Monster Hunter

The world of Monster Hunter is seemingly a pure and breathtakingly beautiful prehistoric world, but under the lush full bushes, colossal trees, clear water and big exotic Creatures is the ancient rubble of two pre apocalyptic society formed by humankind.

Befor the first apocalyps started humankind lived in what you could call a modern society, it was mostly peaceful, while some countrys were in minor conflict or at war with each other over things that in hinsight may have easyly been stoped or prevented from happening in the first place, but it ment nothing in the end... everything ment nothing.

Strange matter a element that can only be produced when a nero star explodes, in a massive nero nova strange matter gets hurled everywhere in the cosmos and scientist suspected that everything that gets hit by strange matter would also become strange matter, but that was just a theory... by luck or more like very bad luck a strange matter particle hit earth.The reaction was nearly instant, a chain reaction all over earth caused a global mutation may it be animals, plants, mushrooms or even the Planet itself the only things that managed to hold on to there previous form were beings with a strong understanding of self like humans, dogs, cats, some monkeys and a handful cattle were not as influenced as the others. As time passed, humans started to adapt to the new beasts that wander through the streets trying to kill them, jet another change occurred that allowed humankind who were now at the button off the food chain to survive but would later cause a second apocalyps.... emerges of a new energy called vital energy penetrates the Planet and started strengheing the new apex a the Planet and under the new apex there were also a handful of humans that would later go by the name Hunters.

Hunter power and gifts

The average hunter already has after awakening strengh at the limit of their body and can either not grow any further or grow very slowly. Only a handful of special Grandmaster are the exception to the rule like the Admiral in Monster Hunter world.

Gifts are special traits that Hunters get after they awaken to vital energy.

(Humans who have not gone through awakening are not hunters and are only two times stronger then the humans of the old days.)

Gifts come in all shapes and sizes, but every gift heavyly dictates the future growth of a hunter.

After years of studie gifts got cataloged and ranked as:

•Low tier: "slow growth speed, extreme limitions"

Low tier Gifts can only absorb or control vital energy of specific low rank monster and are limited in one weapon typ crafted or enhanced with that specific monster.

Grows stronger by killing a specific monster or hunting monster with a specific weapon.

•High tier: "medium growth speed, small limitions"

High tier Gifts can only absorb or control vital energy of specific high rank monster and are limited in a handful weapon typscrafted or enhanced with that specific monster.

Grows stronger by killing a specific monster or hunting monster with a handful of weapon.

•Master rank: "high growth speed, small limitions"

Master rank Gifts can absorb or control vital all energy of specific Master rank monster and below and are limited in weapon typs crafted or enhanced with that specific monster.

Grows stronger by killing a specific monster or hunting monster with all weapon.

•Grandmaster rank: "unique growth and limits"

Grandmaster rank hunter have all unique a typ of growth with sometimes extrem limitions, for example the Monster Hunter protagonist with his "Absolut equipment affinity" can control every typ of vital energy with 100% efficiency but can't absorb it under normal condition.

While every rank under grandmaster is able (in theory) to reach the peak of the master rank the time and variety differs greatly.

Most gift limit Hunters growth by limiting the Monsters they need to hunter or the weapon they can use to damage monster.

Monster

Monster are mutated animals that control vital energy in rare cases there are monster who go through a second mutation because they absorb a special energy that appear sometime in particular environments.

•Vitalshild:

Every giant monster develops a vitalshild that protects them from a certain amout of damage and limits Injuries.

Vitalshilds are only can break in moments is nearly dead or when attacks comes faster or with stronger force then the shild can withstand or regenerate.

to break a vitalshild can be considert as nearly impossible when you don't have a 100% control vital energy or use a environmental trap.

•Second mutation:

A second mutation can be anything form extrem growth, sharp increase in strengh and speed or change of color, shape and element.

•Variants:

A monster variants are monsters that have gone through their second mutation have survived a traumatic event and/or forcefully adapted to a new environment.

•Sub-species:

Sub-species are monster that adapted to a specific dangerous environment over multiple generations. They have similar traits to variants which confuses a lot of researcher when they are sighted for the first time.

Sub-species come in fewer numbers but are most of the time stronger then their normal counterpart.

Rare-species:

Rare-species are considered the ultimat form of a monster species and can be everything of the things mentioned above.
