Background:
Born on December 7, 1894 in Hiroshima, Japan.
Father is Hayato Shin, a professional blacksmith for the Japanese Imperial Army, and also a former Hashira for the Demon Slayer Corps.
Mother is Ayaka Shin, a housewife, and a former head of the Female Kakushis back on the Demon Slayer HQ. Known to have the hands of a skilled surgeon, and has vast knowledge of medicinal plants and western medicines.
Their family was converted as a Catholic that has been preached by foreign missionaries like the Portuguese and Dutch before. However, due to this, Hikaru's father chose not to reveal this to others because of the newly approved law named Tolerance Religion Law, mirrored basely on the old Religion ban of the previous Tokugawa Shogunate during the 1620s.
The taboo status between the relationship of a Demon Slayer and a Kakushi was prohibited at those times, so Hayato chose to concede his Hashira status and became a normal slayer, but still has the authority to organize and train future slayers.
The Shin family would be met by a tragedy when a horde of demons raided a small part of Hiroshima, mainly near their homes. Hikaru witnessed the demons killing his poor mother and his neighbors like cattle. The men, rallied by Hayato fought valiantly until they were also killed by the demon who had the clean, white tuxedo and fedora hat. Hayato fought Muzan alone and managed to force the Demon King to retreat due to the loss of a pair of hearts in his body. However, this also took a toll on Hayato's health and was already dying.
He called his son, Hikaru, and told him everything. Hikaru then vows to defeat the demon with his father's dying words striking him and revealing that he is formerly a member of the organization named the "Demon Slayer Corps."
And his father believed that this was the payback Muzan did to him during his slayer days. Hayato mentioned books that he wrote and his Nichirin sword hidden in their estate. In his dying breath, his father told him to go to Tokyo, find the Slayer Corps, and get stronger to end Muzan once and for all.
Moving to the future, Hikaru trained his body, mind, and spirit as he trekked from Hiroshima to Tokyo on foot. Armed with only his bible, rosary, and Nichirin Blade, he had met different kinds of people, helped them in certain ways, and also experienced his first fight as an unofficial Demon Slayer. Unbeknownst to him, he had already been watched by Oyakata-sama's crows, reporting his actions back to their master.
Breathing Style Information:
Light Breathing (Hikari no kokyū) - is considered one of the most powerful aberrant Breathing Styles out there, it can cause harm to both the user and the user's enemies when utilized incorrectly. Light Breathing is comprised of many sword techniques that utilize any source of light around them to generate waves of electromagnetic radiation (what is defined as light): infrared or ultraviolet or any source of light like the Sun. Anything that stores these specific forms of light, can be used to perform the sword techniques of this Breathing Style.
Most, if not all, known techniques inculcate rapid and graceful movements into the user's attacks, making use of their speed, dexterity, and agility to perform quick sword draws and swift weaving slashes. A user of Light Breathing also visualize themselves, seemingly creating colorful sparks and colorful lights as well as a trail of yellowish-white light that follows the direction of their attacks.
