Chapter 2 - The year of struggel

The sisters were sent out together but left to fend for themselves. They cleaned dishes in diners, worked as housekeepers, and even swept streets to earn money for food. Every night, they returned to a tiny rented room, exhausted and frustrated.

"This isn't fair," Jennifer said one night, scrubbing her hands raw.

"It's not about fairness," Maya replied, trying to stay positive. "It's about learning."

But as the months went on, something changed. They began to notice the struggles of others—people working multiple jobs, children with no homes, and families torn apart by crime. It was Maya who first suggested they could do more.

"What if we use what we've learned to help people?" she said one evening.

Michelle, who had grown tired of the endless chores, was intrigued. "Help them how?"

"By stopping the people who hurt them," Maya said with a spark in her eye. "We could be spies."
