Clara sat on the sofa and watched Dylan lock the door. He walked over to the refrigerator and picked out cola-nova cherry—her favorite.
Dylan gently slid the canned beverage over to the other side of the table and waited for her to open and take a sip—she was a bit shy so it took a minute or two.
"What's going on right now?" Clara mumbled with her gaze lowered.
"I want to share something important with you. Something much more important than this company." Dylan was direct.
Clara blinked in confusion, and her thoughts raced back to her strange behavior around him lately—he must have noticed she was a bit withdrawn, or at least, that's what she believed.
Dylan snapped his fingers and, with a violet plume of smoke, Lich appeared on his right shoulder—his cute violet-colored eyes meeting Clara's astonished gaze.
