Chapter 3 - chapter two

"are you going to kill me?" I asked him.

He looked at me with an amusing look "why do you ask?"

"I haven't wolfed out yet", I'm useless. I said looking down in shame.

"ok"

I looked at him with shock on my face.

"ok"?

He looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"I don't really care about you Jemima, but I also can't reject you.....yet"

I swallowed the lump in my throat and straightened my shoulders. If he thought I was weak, I'd prove him wrong.

"why? I'm useless to you, I cant be your luna so why even bother keeping me here?" I asked trying to sound tough.

Lucian's smirk faltered for a fraction of a second, but it was gone before I could be sure I'd seen it.

"tomorrow, you'll train with me", Lucian said over his shoulder as he left the room. I stared after him,

my heart pounding. Train? I couldn't even run a mile without tripping over my own feet. How was I supposed to be Luna?

Few hours later I got hungry so I went downstairs to see if I could get anything to eat.

Immediately I came out from my room, I heard strange sounds. It sounded like a fight. I went down the stairs and saw

Lucian smashing his fist into Luke's face over and over again. A scream left my lips when Lucian smashed

Luke's into the wall. I rushed forward without thinking and grabbed unto my mate's arms screaming for

him to stop. He throws his arm out and sent me flying. The back of my head came in contact with a glass table.

I let out a loud scream of pain. I touched the back of my head and felt something liquid.

brought my hand to my face and

"blood" I cried out. But Lucian still didn't stop hitting Luke.

"your mate" luke said weakly

"don't talk about my mate. Lucian spat

"shes hurt" said luke

By now I was trying to stay awake.

Lucian rushed to where I was on the floor.

As I drifted in and out of conciousness, flashes of an unfamiliar forest filled my mind. I could hear howls in the distance and a voice, low and commanding, "remember who you are".

"You better not die on me".....not now, Lucian growled. That was the last thing I heard before everything went dark

I woke up the next morning with a splitting headache. The sunlight streaming through the window, blinding, I tried moving but there was a heavy presence on my stomach. I looked down and saw the muscular arm wrapped around my lower stomach and my eyes widened, sparks danced across my skin making me shiver.

His dark brown hair was messy, and his lips, soft and slightly parted looked too inviting. He looked peaceful, so unlike the furious Alpha from last night. My fingers itched to touch his face, but I clenched them into fists. Despite everything, I felt drawn to him.

I tried to move, but his grip tightened, pulling me closer. My chest raced.

"stop squirming," he mumbled, his voice groggy. His eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, I swore I saw something softer in them—before his usual smirk appeared.

"you are alive, Good," he said, his tone mocking. "I'd hate to explain to the pack why their luna didn't make it through her first night."
