Oh well a newborn is a spirit that was born in the spirit world, and was taken in by the world for the first few years of one's life," Alita answered the second question Emma had asked.
"And wanderers are the second phase of a spirit."
"Huh?" Emma blurted, she had been confused by Alita, What did she mean by second phase?
"It is how you excel in this world, one can grow only stronger by doing heck knows what with your sufferings. A wander is the second stage of strength, an evolution of the base known as spirit. Achieving this level strengthens one spirituality, basically energy to do stuff, and improves your spirit ability.
"There are three phases: spirits, wanders, And great spirits. I'll tell you about the last later though,
"While I'm at it, a Hungry is one who eats other spirits to gain more abilities, but if everyone could just eat each other to grow more powerful we would be able to have districts now would we. What I mean by that is not everyone can magically become Hungry.
To become one is a rather difficult task, you have to find other spirits that have somewhat similar suffering, also known as Suffering compatibility.
There is yet another limit, your own natural capacities. Every spirit has a limit placed on how much they could devour, most spirits can't even devour one, that's why the stage for being a Hungry is rather difficult.
Most spirit can only become a Hungry when reaching the level of wandering, like myself, and some it still might not be even possible," explained alita,
"Why can't you tell me about great spirits? What are districts?" Emma further inquired.
"It's not like I can't tell, it's more like… uh, i forgot about somethings, but I can tell you about districts though." Alita cleared her voice before she began talking again.
"Districts are where spirits live and trade, like the one we are living in now.
"They are located all over the spirit world. Meaning you can go adventuring and stuff and probably end up in one of the five.
"Oh yeah there's a whole five of them. Each of their government structures vary depending on how the "ruler" of one likes. A ruler is a great spirit that has taken care of the lands, enforcing laws to protect all spirits and stuff like that.
"The one we're living in is George's district, he's the type to not care if you're extremely sick, and tax you for all your worth because he couldn't afford a new diamond underwear with his pocket change. George's district is so bad that it's split between itself, " Alita explained.
"How so?" Emma asked.
"One half of the district, well not half more like 10th, is just a bunch of rich folk who were able to pay his absurd tax. Aka the Nobles. And the rest can't keep up with the nobles in paying taxes and all that, so George refuses to protect us and keep us contained here. aka, the peasants."
Just before Emma was about to ask another question, ALita stopped walking in front of another building catching Emma by surprise.
"Why did we stop?"
"Because we reached our destination," Alita answered.
