Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Platform

"I'm going to live to a hundred!" declared a handsome young man, his voice filled with conviction. He had made it his life's mission to achieve this goal and took every step necessary to ensure it.

At just twenty years old, he was the epitome of blessed fortune. Handsome, rich, and charming, he had already had more girlfriends than he could count on one hand.

Some might say he was the luckiest man alive, and he wholeheartedly agreed. Surely, he thought, he must have been a saint who saved the world in his previous life.

How else could one explain such a perfect life?

To prolong his gift, he followed a strict regimen. He ate only the healthiest foods—fresh fruits, crisp vegetables, and the occasional organic treat.

He stayed far away from junk food, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and all other vices. His dedication was admirable, even if his motivations were a bit... self-centered.

As he strolled down the street, his aura of confidence drew stares from everyone around him. Women, young and old, couldn't help but glance at him with obvious admiration.

Some giggled shyly, while others openly ogled his chiseled face. Even a few elderly grandmothers paused their gossip to take in his radiant presence.

"Ah, yes," he thought smugly, his lips curling into a grin.

"Look at me, ladies. Smile a little bigger, and who knows? Maybe I'll grace you with my company tonight."

He truly believed his handsome face alone could slap away people's fears, traumas, and sorrows. For the most part, he wasn't wrong—until fate decided otherwise.

It all happened in an instant.

"Shit!" he cursed under his breath as his body moved on its own. A flash of movement had caught his eye—a little girl running into the middle of the road, oblivious to the danger.

"BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!"

The shrill honk of a truck's horn tore through the air, followed by the unmistakable roar of an engine.

Instinctively, the young man dashed forward, his legs propelling him faster than he thought possible. He reached the girl just in time, shoving her out of harm's way.

"BANG!"

The impact was deafening. The truck collided with him, sending his body flying through the air like a ragdoll. Time seemed to slow as he felt his life slipping away.

"Truck-kun... You didn't miss, huh?" he thought, a wry smile tugging at his lips even as the world around him faded.

And then, everything went dark.

When he opened his eyes again, he wasn't in the bustling city streets. Instead, he found himself in a vast, unfamiliar world.

The sky was painted in vibrant hues, the air thrummed with an unearthly energy, and in the distance, towering mountains stretched beyond the horizon.

"What... Where am I?" he muttered, his voice echoing in the strange, otherworldly landscape.

Our mc took another step forward, but before he could take a second one, a sudden change coursed through his body.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he screamed at the top of his lungs as alien memories surged into his mind, overwhelming him. They were so vivid, so real, as if he had lived each of those 1,787 years himself.

Every moment was tattooed onto his brain, a lifetime of experiences flooding him all at once.

He wasn't sure how long he had been screaming, but when the agony finally ebbed, he found himself slumped onto the scorched earth, the cracked ground beneath him unbearably hot.

"Oh… my… god…"

"I'm fucked!" he shouted in disbelief. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks—he wasn't on Earth anymore. He had transmigrated into the body of an old man in a ruthless xianxia world.

A place where strength was the only thing that mattered. He could be killed for even the slightest mistake—just a wrong glance at the wrong person could seal his fate.

His dream of living a long, happy life was dashed in an instant.

Worse still, the cultivators here were ruthless; even if he offended the wrong people, there was no guarantee he'd get a complete corpse to bury.

"Wait a minute!" His eyes widened, a thought cutting through his panic. He stood up, unable to suppress the laughter that bubbled up from deep inside him.

"I possess the body of a great elder from the Infinite Sword Sect!" he realized, his excitement growing with each word.

"I'm a Nascent Soul Realm powerhouse who's already lived 1,787 years!" His heart raced as the magnitude of his new life sank in.

"Surely this life will be a piece of cake for me now. I could walk sideways, and nobody would dare make fun of me!" He laughed hysterically, shaking with the rush of power flooding through him.

Clenching his fists, he looked to the heavens and…

"BOOM!"

Suddenly, his power exploded outward like a violent storm. His spiritual pressure lashed out in every direction, making the very earth tremble beneath his feet.

"Hmmmm…" He smirked as he basked in the overwhelming presence of his newfound strength. "Even Goku can't match this kind of OP aura... Hehehe."

Our OP MC was basking in the thrill of his newfound power until…

"DING!"

"WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!"

"Lifespan remaining: 12 hours, 5 minutes, and 38 seconds…"

"Lifespan remaining: 12 hours, 5 minutes, and 37 seconds…"

"Lifespan remaining: 12 hours, 5 minutes, and 36 seconds…"

The numbers ticked down relentlessly.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" our OP MC groaned in frustration. Panicked, he immediately dug into the memories of the old man's body he had inhabited. A moment later, everything clicked.

This old man had failed his breakthrough to the Spirit Severing Realm a hundred years ago, causing his body to slowly burn through his lifespan.

And now, our MC was stuck with the remains of this man's life—barely 12 hours left to live.

"System, are you there?!" he called out, desperate. As an avid web novel readers, he knew that all serial transmigrators all had cheat systems to help them conquer the whole world and beyond.

"Help me! I don't want to die again so soon!"

He had only lived to 20 in his past life. Now, in this second chance, he wasn't about to waste his only shot with just 12 measly hours left to live. What could he possibly achieve in such a short time?

"DING!"

"Congratulations, host! You have been granted the Divine Wisdom System. Please check your character status for more details."

The system's response came through, accompanied by the soothing, mature voice of a woman.
