Sora felt sore all over his body. He felt like he had been hit by a big-ass truck, the truck in question being whatever spell Rukia had hit him with before she left.
Well, since she hit him with it and he could see that it was starting to become day, he could basically say that spell would no longer work against him. Binding spells, in general, would have a harder time binding him, considering he had adapted to it.
Speaking of which, adapting to Byakuya's attacks did wonders. His Blut Vene could now tank the attack and take no damage. If the man was at 100%, he would be cut, but Byakuya had lost his chances of having a winning edge against him.
Sora had already pre-adapted to him, so if they fought again, he would adapt way faster than before, and before ten seconds were up, he would be immune to it.
TL;DR, he had used Byakuya in order to strengthen himself, and he felt no real regrets about it. Strength does not come easily.
"My precious employee, you're awake," a joyful voice called out.
As his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw the man who paid him minimum wage looking at him and smiling, acting all caring and sweet.
"She hit me pretty well with that Bakudo spell," he muttered to himself.
"Wait, Rukia attacked you?!" a stunned teenager's voice rang out.
Turning around, he saw Ichigo. He could feel that Rukia's Shinigami powers were gone. However, having tasted the power of a Shinigami...
"She did it to protect me. Apparently, if those guys hadn't captured her, the next two people sent would be people called Unohana and Shunsui." As he said those words, his gaze immediately went to Kisuke, as if to clarify his hunch.
Judging from the now serious expression on the man's face, he guessed he was right to actually let them take her.
"Executioners are not the talkative type," the man said. He then looked at Sora, one of his eyes blocked by shadows.
It was clear what the man meant—basically, how did you get that info?
"While I was fighting Byakuya Kuchiki, he did say it was an order from Central 46, and if they didn't bring her back, those two would be sent out to guarantee that she was taken. Considering he is a noble and his personality..."
"So you lowered your guard and let Rukia hit you, didn't you?"
Well, damn. It didn't take the man long to put two and two together.
"That was my best option at the time. My other option was to train my ass off and hope I was strong enough to face them when they came, but that was naive and very unlikely to happen. For all I know, they could just take Rukia while I was off training."
He explained, then looked at his boss and asked, "So, how long do we have before her execution?"
The man contemplated his thoughts for a bit before saying, "Shinigami usually follow their laws, so it's 30 days until her execution. I will need seven days to set up the portal, which should leave you 13 days to save her..."
"Hey, where did the other ten days go?"
"Oh my, I forgot," the man said, acting silly.
He then turned toward Sora before saying, "I plan to use that time to abuse— I mean, train Ichigo to be up to snuff, unless you think you can raid Soul Society by yourself and hope to live to tell the tale."
Sora could read between the lines.
Simple words like: don't be a fucking idiot, you cannot do it alone, and we both know Ichigo will not let you go alone.
So many words conveyed with so few words—that's why he hated smart people. They made him use his brain too much.
He much rather dealt with average-IQ people. He sighed a bit.
Ichigo's eyebrow twitched. He had heard Kisuke's words. The man was trying to say "abuse" before quickly changing it to "training."
"Well, have fun, Ichigo. Remember, don't pass out near him—you don't know what he'll do to your unconscious body."
Ichigo's eyes furrowed a bit. What did Sora mean by that?
His eyes shifted toward Urahara, who just smiled at him as if he were the most innocent man in the world. However, Ichigo sensed danger—something was definitely off here.
When Sora got home, the first thing he did was take a shower.
The next thing was to grab some clothes and enough food to last him about 17 days.
He then left a little note on the fridge before making his way outside. Once there, he used Hirenkyaku to teleport somewhere pretty far away—around the edge of Karakura Town.
The first thing he did once he got there was erect a barrier.
He extended his hands, first drawing the ambient Reishi from the air and the earth.
He watched as the Reishi danced to his whims. This was always fun to see, and his control over Reishi was getting better by the day.
Once he had control over the Reishi all around him, he shaped it into a giant dome, using all of the Reishi in the area to form the structure. Now, inside this dome, there was no ambient Reishi—only Kishi.
As the dome fully formed, the walls became dense and luminous, like liquid starlight.
Truly a wonderful sight to behold.
The wheel was now there. Sora needed his adapted state to make the barrier.
Once the barrier was made, Sora's wheel spun four more times before it was complete.
Inside this barrier, the structure would absorb and redirect any spiritual energy emitted from within the enclosed space. That absorbed energy would then be filtered out in very small bursts—so small, in fact, that someone would have to be specifically looking for them to find them.
Additionally, the dome emitted Reishi at specific frequencies to interfere with others' ability to sense reiatsu within the barrier. It functioned like a jamming system.
The Reishi would feel like... well, just Reishi, with no trace of his own spiritual energy within it—a nifty trick.
The idea was that outside this barrier, even the most sensitive spiritual beings wouldn't detect him. The Reishi field redirected any energy signatures he emitted and scattered them across random frequencies. No one would know he was here.
As he clenched his fist and released his Reiatsu, however, it vanished. Normally, the raw spiritual power would ripple through the environment, alerting anyone nearby. But within the barrier, the energy dissipated into nothingness, absorbed and neutralized by the dome's intricate structure.
The wall even bent light and sound, so he was completely hidden. He waited an hour—an entire hour of adapting—to make the wall foolproof.
Once that was done, he got to business.
A/N If I ever write another Bleach story after this, probably going to be fullbring or hollow, Shinigami gets chosen last just cause I feel, there is an oversaturation of them, that's just my thought.
Also, Sora thought things through before making tha choice, if Byakuya at 20% power so strong, at 100%, given glove Sora a challenge.
Those other two executioner are probably a lot stronger, from what he heard of soul society they seem strict so he was expecting people who could bitch smack Byakuya around…tldr, his logic was since someone had disrespected their order…and that someone happen to be a Quincy.
That shit would slide, their Kd ration on Quincy shouldn't be tainted…(jk), but you get the gist.
He expected the other people that came to be less merciful and to strike when he was paying attention and since Shinigami prove to commit genocide without batting an eye, he didn't want to anger them much…..he was worried for his remaining family, he didn't want them to die for his recklessness.
So he chose the second option where he gets to train and rescue her instead.
