I decided to check the house. I checked the rooms, checked the kitchen, dining table, living room yet I didn't find anything. Then my phone rang, my wife was calling. I picked it up and was asking her where she was. She told me not to panic, that she was okay but she will come home the next day.
I was confused. Why can't she tell me where she was but I didn't ask her. All I told her was to get back home safely. Then I knew something was wrong. It was like I didn't know her at all. The woman I know tells me everywhere I go but she has changed.
I tried not to overthink. I went to the kitchen and made meal for myself and went to bed. When I woke up the next day I saw my wife in the kitchen cooking. I greeted her, I didn't act like anything was strange. I didn't ask her where she went to the day before, didn't ask why she didn't pick my calls.
I just let it go till she is ready to tell me. My wife brought the meal to the table and we ate our breakfast peacefully maybe a little too quiet. When we were through with the meal she packed the plates and washed them in the kitchen. I decided to wait for her.
When she came out, she apologized to me for not picking my calls and told me she was busy getting me a surprise. I was shocked but I didn't buy the excuse.
I felt like Alexia was hiding something from me. Then it started, she would go out for a week and come back home later. She won't pick my calls early. When she gets home she would apologize telling me she was busy.
She won't tell me what she was doing claiming it was a surprise. I decided to wait till she tells me everything. I didn't want to destroy our marriage with my numerous questions. Alexia was everything to me. My life, my hope, my joy. I can't leave her or my life will be completely bleak.
Then she started picking strange numbers at night. Going to bed early and leaving for work late. I didn't know what to do. So I told Alexia how I felt. She told me she would tell me the truth later but not know. I decided to wait.
