The ethereal figure sat the a murky smile coming onto his face.
"Strength?"
"Yes we can giv...."
The man was cut off by a blinding light and then I was back to the living world it was dark and cold but the feeling of the temperature was telling me none the less I was somehow back to life. Surprisingly I still have my wooden arm propping my self up I slipped and lost grip on the surface beneath me it was a rocky base with some kind of liquid that was slippery on it but I didn't have time for that I was going to freeze out here I needed somewhere to sleep and collect my thoughts. spreading my mana out There was a cave just ahead walking over it wasn't really a cave more like a rocky outcrop slightly above me but it stopped the wind. The harsh bitter wind was almost as painful as the gashes all over my body and especially the one in my soul, seeing the people you trusted the most treat you as nothing more than a bug truly deepens the wounds on your soul.
"Shit those bastards, the church and the gods I swear I'm going to make them pay."
But I was far to weak remembering the strange man that was speaking to me I tried to wrack my memories of anything that he could have said but nothing knew was in there, looking at my mana pool it was more solid now looking like a place. A small pond where one could go to rest.
"Hmm strange it wasn't ever this physical looking when I used to come look at my mana before. It used to look more like a puddle on the floor or a small pool even, but nothing like a pond?"
Peering into the pond something was in there something slightly white in hue similar to the ethereal man that I saw reaching in to attempt to grab it, I touched the pool of mana expecting it to behave similarly to water but it was as if I was pushing down on stone. Then a crack appeared in the surface of the mana causing the white light to burst forth and smash me in the chest. With a new rush of memories flowing into my head I was flustered at first but slowly came to understand them.
"Hey they will notice me interfering soon so its going to be quick your mana pool is equivalent to water. So the more water you add the larger the pool will become and the more solidified it will be so adding some of my mana yours is very large for your age but don't get cocky, your still weak compared to what you want to do. Ahh also the more pure the mana the clearer the pool becomes which will effect your body in the future so make sure not to forget that. Last thing your body will be sorta healed? In short you wont be dead but your very close and you have been sent out of the holy lands to a place called Rotura your near the outskirts of a town go to a bar called the "Pink Pony" find a owl then it will take you to a man called J..."
The memories came to a screeching halt causing a slightly sharp pain in my head but I couldn't care less whoever that was helped me a lot, by giving me information and telling me what to do next.
"I suppose going to sleep and looking for the owl and pink pony will come in the morning."
Falling asleep I could think of nothing but what those bastards Eli and Annalise where doing closing my eye's and forcing my self to sleep. With the sun rising and the first glints of dawn seeping through the forest just ahead I awoke slowly rubbing my eye's. Looking down to see what the healing the man did on me was looking like I was covered in scars and bruises but one noticeable one above all was prominent a cross scar just where my heart would be.
"I guess that man can work wonders, pulling me from death like that."
Looking to see what I slipped on last night I looked in the direction seeing nothing but a cliff face and a pool of blood with drag marks to where I was now sitting.
"Maybe that man wasn't a miracle maker and I was just lucky, that would also explain all the random scars and bruises. But something doesn't line up the amount of blood I lost should have killed me alone and the fall I cant even see the top of the cliff."
Before I could fall any deeper in thought There was a roar that came from the top of the cliffs rattling even the tiniest of pebbles down where I was sitting. It was certainly shocking but
"Something that large and ferocious sounding wouldn't bother coming after someone so weak and frail as me right?"
"Certainly wrong Boyo. The Mountain king certainly hates the people that intrude on his turf."
"Haa yeah your right."
I opened my eye's thinking that I was just going slightly insane or I hit my head hard and gained a inner monologue. But to my surprise to large beady eye's where staring at me with inner curiosity written all over them. I leaped back screaming hitting my head on the rock as I tried to stand falling down into a crouched position wincing in pain.
"HoHo HO! No need to worry Boyo I'm not going to hurt you I am merely a bird. But that does not matter I don't know how you got out here nor what that pile of blood is but you must follow me unless you want to die."
"Ha I've already died enough for one lifetime."
Smiling to my self that I was probably the first person to think this and it be true felt fulfilling but the bird just looked at me as if confused then slowly started flying into the forest. With not wanting to become food for whatever was the king of the mountain I slowly walked behind it. we walked for awhile and while walking I noticed that my natural regeneration seems to have gone beyond normal as I got cut by some thorns but they almost heeled instantaneously. I had lost sight of the owl sometime ago but could tell where it was heading through my mana sense. It stoped in a small patch in the forest with what seemed like a log lying on the ground but there was nothing else there. Walking out into the clearing I noticed a man sharpening a sword sitting on the log with the bird sitting on his shoulder. surprised and scared that I couldn't sense this man with my mana I stumbled slightly back readying for a fight.
"You who are you!"
"Me? People call me the Owl."
