Sunday, June 1st, 2088. 5:30 a.m.
Strutting down the halls of the 50th floor, Aaliyah Yamamoto. In her standard police-like getup, she attempts to find the junior guards' rooms one by one. "Okay…78…79….80....Ha! Found one of them", she barges through the locked door of the 81st room with ease to find Ulagur sleeping soundly. Aaliyah sneaks up to the sleeper, smiling ear to ear, she summons a gauntlet on one hand before pouncing on the target.
Meanwhile, in room numbers 24 and 23, Ex-shin and Olivia step out one by one. Tired they are, neither of them even noticed the other, not until they heard a gut wrenching scream coming from the other side of the 50th floor that wakes up not only the couple that is standing there, but also wakes up the other four. From down the hall, the doors of room numbers 7, 13, 5, and 1 slide open. K'yun, sporting just a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, spots Ex-shin and signals him to come over. As Ex and Olivia tiptoe across the soft, gray carpet, Izial looks down to the left and transforms his eye to that of a reptile, granting him slight night vision as for he is still somewhat sleepy.
"GUYS-". Pyoko, Juno, Olivia, K'yun and Ex-shin look behind K'yun, where Izial was, to not find him there. "Shit..!" They all say collectively as they book it, running to their destination, which is the center kitchen, located in the middle on the 50th floor behind heavy, multi-material made doors.
The halls are pitch black. Any light colors worn will have to cease. This is a maze, and each of them know that a problem is turning their early morning into a terrifying nightmare. The group looks behind them from hearing a voice, one that Ex-shin knows all too well. "Well, well, well~...looky here. 7..minus 2 of the strongest students…here. And to think that one of them is my son.". The girls look at K'yun but he makes a disapproving face and looks at Ex-shin who is sweating. "That's your mom?? You freak, she's gonna kill us!", Juno barely shouts. "You know…I'm feeling nice so I'll give you guys 2 seconds to run. 1…-", time stops. Ex-shin swiftly picks up his four peers and darts around the maze before hitting the center doors. He deactivates his time stop due to the tiredness he feels, yawning as the rest of his team looks confused, but knows what to do.
On the other side, Aaliyah finishes her count, still smiling as she knows how they got away so fast. "...2…These kids, have they found the door yet? Heh..better to check, am I right?". Aaliyah zooms to the doors while the five juniors all attempt to open the way to the elevator. It's almost open, but Ex stops, losing a bit of progress for the rest of them as he turns towards his mother who has just appeared there.
(Ex-shin) As I face my mom, a determined expression is painted on my face to rid her of this battle trance she gets in. Very scary. "Alright mom, I don't wanna do this, but-" *Crash!* Before I could say anything else, I was kicked into a wall. Getting up and rushing back in, I block an axe kick, barely lean away from the roundhouse kick, dodge two bodyblows, but then I get hit unexpectedly in the back of my head with her elbow, knocking me to the ground while she walks to K'yun and the others. I sigh deeply. "Well…here goes nothing." By using my ability to manipulate space, I shorten the space between my mom and I to bring her close enough for her to block a punch of mines, filled with chrono-energy that sends her back a few feet. My mom jumps back in, although slower this time, she's still quick, but I can see her movements well enough.
I try to go forward with an attack, but I am pulled away towards the door as it opens and shuts with the white bald headed lady that always has her eyes closed and who served us food last night, standing there in her slim but muscular figure. "Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd TIME!", she stops a clock, "One minute and 30 seconds..and against Aaliyah? You guys are already showing excellent potential!". She points to a dining table that has five police-style uniforms on it. "My name's Okira Marshall, but just call me Miss. Mari." She smiles. "Put these on and meet us on the ground floor.
You can customize the outfits all you want, just be down there in 5 minutes. Understand?". "Yes!", the five of us say, confused but glad to be away from what's beyond those doors. Five minutes in time pass and all seven of us are on the first floor, all decorated differently in our uniforms with each of us having a unique style. "And would you look at this…Now. For the next three months, you will be undergoing inescapable, and intense training to prepare you for your first true mission. During this training, you will break through your limits multiple times. Our schedule from now on will repeat like this: You will wake up, eat breakfast, workout and/or spar, eat lunch, go on patrol, and lastly the rest of the time is yours until the next morning. It'll be from 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. are we understood?". "Loud and clear Miss Mari!" we all shout collectively.
Month one: June
The first month of training for these juniors have commenced. Ex-shin, Juno, K'yun, Olivia, Pyoko, Izial, and Ulagur, most increased their base movement speed and combat speed to around mach 50, some being faster than others. All senses have been heightened greatly and their durability is so much higher than they could've imagined, being able to face attacks head on without much injury. Some have enhanced their powered abilities, others have made new ones for themselves.
And they are so strong, that they can all attack with enough force to carve a cave into a small mountain from the inside-out, with the exception of Pyoko as she uses her puppets to assist. Team bonding is no issue at all. As for during the third week, the team have decided to start playing video games and watching movies every night. K'yun and Ex-shin, typical gamers they are, both are a natural at all genres of all types of games. But one day they wanted to see what kinds of games the others thrive in the best. Olivia and Ex-shin tie 1st place for best in fighting games, Pyoko is best in the realm of shooting, K'yun is the parkour master, Izial's stealth is like no other in gaming, Ulagur is better than the rest of them at building games, and Juno is perfect at decision-based games, not ever making one mistake, once.
One the 24th day of June, the junior guards have gotten a break that day due to a birthday of one member, Ex-shin Yamamoto on this day has turned the age of 18. The juniors walk around the city and explore their new surroundings for the first time ever since arriving there. In total, they spent about 500 B.G.C (Black gold coins), carrying about ten bags for each of them while on their way back to their new home they recently moved into 3 weeks ago. On the last day of June, K'yun and Ex-shin have agreed to become rivals and have chosen to spar outside in an open field during sunset.
(Ex-shin) Stretching and twisting my limbs and body, I call out to K'yun who is already prepared to fight me. "Soooo…Are there any rules or conditions you wanna set down for us? Or is this just a regular spar?". K'yun smiles, "Well aren't I so glad you asked me. There's only one rule in this fight, any abilities made before training cannot be used here..fight me with something new, don't you think?". Heh…"You got that right! Now enough talking. Come at me, ladies first, y'know~", I smirk and K'yun annoyingly zooms at me with a smile, breaking ground while doing so. Crossing my arms but ready, I hold up a peace sign and run towards K'yun myself. He tries a series of attacks along with me, both of us trying to hit one another.
I duck his hook, lean back from the following uppercut, try an elbow but he blocks it. I go in for a strike to the kidney, unfortunately, he moves and kicks the air as I attempt to catch him with a sweep. But he uses the momentum from his kick and performs a jumping 360 spin before aiming his kick towards the ground, completely shattering a giant hole beneath us.
Luckily I had moved from the crater outside of it, safe, where I force my body temperature to below 0. I take a deep, chilling breath as I make my way to the hole, seeing K'yun summon humanoid creatures made up of rock. I give a wicked smile and speed blitz one of them, caving the chest in with a punch that drives its body to the crater wall.
Then almost instantly after, its body, where I had hit it, protrudes large ice spikes before allowing the thing to crumble. I stomp and the rest of them freeze instantaneously, but not K'yun. Blitzing him, he puts up a wall of stone and it gets me, or so seemingly…but no thud was heard. Too bad he didn't see me move in advance before he had put the wall up. Maybe then could he have stopped me from palming his face and throwing him up in the air. Though, he somehow managed to stop mid air, floating there, looking down at me as he slowly descends down to my level with shining black eyes illuminated by the rising moon. Plastered on his face was an expression of joy and entertainment.
He put his hands in his pockets and just as soon as he did so, pillars of stone came hurling at me at high speeds. I counteract this by stomping my foot on the ground and a massive wave of ice spikes clashes with the pillars, creating a small explosion of icicles and rock shards. K'yun swallows the explosion with a thick sphere of rock, leaving there in between him and I, a huge, spherical boulder. By activating Incinerate and moving all that heat to my palm, I form a heated ball of chaos, the size of an apple, charging up its chaotic mass as K'yun condenses the sphere and manipulates its shape into a spear.
I have been working on this attack since the school's tournament. If I had used it then…oh how much weaker it'd be. The winds flow towards my attack due to its mass. I let go of the ball made of chaotic mass and Yun chucks the spear at it. "ha..Not bad, mudball!! But you need to do better than to win this squabble of ours!" I say, after my attack collides with his spear, leaving them pressuring each other from the singularity. "Yeah, don't worry about what I have to do to win..", K'yun says, his skin becomes plated with stone and his signature barrier covers his skin while he stays in a defensive pose to block. "Oh? Are you gonna try to tank this? Well here you are then! …Supernova…". With a devilish grin that doesn't feel like my own, and thoughts of ruined towns and cities flashing in my head, the attack I shot out expands to the size of a truck and hits him dead on. Protected by his barrier and skin, the attack engulfs him completely and it drags against the ground, disintegrating it. It then sends him up in the air as it explodes like a firework of burning energy, over the crater, it illuminates with the moon to create a beautiful scene of lantern lookalikes falling to dissipate under the pale, bright moon.
Later that night…Located on the first floor of Successor Guards' H.Q, the hospital site is where all injured or ill go to get nurtured back to health By the one and only Miss Tokita, or her government, Usami Tokita.
I knock on a door to a room before I heard Yun's voice saying I can come in. "What's up, mudball! Ya doing alright?", I start. "Yeah, yeah I'm good, no need to worry about me. But I gotta hand it to you, that last attack..what was that exactly?". "It was condensed energy Is all..but I saw that your defenses and endurance has increased since last time we sparred..But I actually came here to give you this..", I teleport a red fruit in my hand. Looks much like an orange, but more plump. "It's called an Orasac, Miss Tokita said to give it to you, so here.", I hand over the food. "So do you know where she got this from? Because last time I checked, there's no such thing as an…Orrrrasac..?".
I respond to Yun the best I can with this next sentence. "Well I asked her where she got it from, but all she did was mess around and said that it's from a woman named Vanya who lives in a parallel universe, all jokingly..I can't with her sometimes", I sigh. " But she said that everything about the fruit is edible, even the peel, so eat up and rest. Word around says that Miss Mari is gonna put us through our first low-rank mission..I believe she said C rank. So rest up for tomorrow, we'll all need the rest and rejuvenation."
