Chapter 47 - Aizen's Killing Intent!
'He can see me?'
'But how can he see me?'
'I released Kyōka Suigetsu's Shikai right in front of him, he should be completely hypnotized!'
One question after another raced through Sōsuke Aizen's mind, filling him with disbelief and astonishment.
This situation was beyond Aizen's expectations.
For some reason, he felt as if Gilgamesh's crimson eyes could see right through him.
His heart began to pound, and the hand he extended toward Gilgamesh froze in place.
Gilgamesh spoke slowly, "Kyōka Suigetsu's true ability is complete hypnosis."
"It controls the five senses, making the target believe in the appearance, shape, mass, touch, and even smell that you want them to."
"As long as they see the moment Kyōka Suigetsu is released, they fall into complete hypnosis, and every time Kyōka Suigetsu is released thereafter, they will remain in a state of complete hypnosis."
Hearing Gilgamesh reveal Kyōka Suigetsu's true ability, Aizen's pupils, hidden behind his glasses, shrank dramatically, feeling a chilling sensation sweep over him.
Kyōka Suigetsu's true ability was a secret Aizen had never shared with anyone, not even his closest confidants, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen.
He was extremely cautious, ensuring that no one knew his trump card until he was ready.
So, how did Gilgamesh know Kyōka Suigetsu's true ability?
"Who are you…"
Aizen started to question, but before he could finish, Gilgamesh continued, "There are two ways to break it: avoid seeing the moment of release, or touch the blade before the hypnosis takes effect."
'He knows, he knows everything!'
Aizen screamed internally.
At this moment, Aizen's killing intent towards Gilgamesh reached its peak.
Curiosity, experimental material, research, ancient hero king—none of that mattered anymore.
The only thing Aizen wanted now was to kill Gilgamesh, no matter what!
The only problem was how to kill him.
They were at Shin'ō Academy.
Though Aizen had hypnotized the first-year students, it was limited to only them.
He couldn't see through Gilgamesh and couldn't guarantee an instant kill.
If he failed to kill him instantly, the resulting battle would surely attract attention.
Aizen couldn't afford to jeopardize his centuries-long plans in Soul Society.
What to do…
Aizen's mind raced, searching for a solution.
His once-calm face now showed an unusual grimness, and his eyes, hidden behind his glasses, were fixed on Gilgamesh, emitting a suffocating aura.
At that moment, Gilgamesh stood up and walked towards the Garganta.
As he stepped into the Garganta, he turned to the astonished Aizen and said, "Come, I will show you how I will conquer you."
Aizen was taken aback for a moment, then his pupils shrank again. 'He knows what I'm thinking!?'
Originally, Aizen couldn't see through Gilgamesh.
But after interacting with him, the mystery surrounding him only deepened.
Still, Aizen said nothing more.
He didn't know why Gilgamesh dared to enter the Garganta, but it played right into his hands.
As soon as Gilgamesh entered Hueco Mundo—or even within the Garganta—Aizen would act, leaving no chance for him to escape!
Without hesitation, Aizen followed Gilgamesh into the Garganta.
As soon as Aizen entered, the Garganta began to close.
Meanwhile, the students in the classroom continued looking towards the podium, their expressions becoming vacant and lifeless, no longer speaking or interacting, like empty shells.
Renji and Rukia were no exception.
Gilgamesh, of course, was aware of this, but he was not worried.
Aizen had only hypnotized them; he hadn't harmed them.
Inside the Garganta, Aizen watched Gilgamesh from a short distance, ready to strike when he saw a dazzling golden light suddenly illuminate the space.
In Aizen's shocked gaze, a massive golden ripple appeared behind Gilgamesh.
From the ripple, the flying throne of kings, Vimana, emerged.
'What is that? Is it the ability of his Zanpakutō?'
This thought was immediately dismissed by Aizen.
He couldn't sense any spiritual pressure from the golden ripple or Vimana.
He also had to admit the sheer magnificence of Vimana.
Suppressing his astonishment, Aizen feared hesitation might lead to disaster. He raised his hand towards Vimana, spiritual pressure surging.
The immense spiritual pressure made the Garganta tremble, and he chanted, "Hado 90: Kurohitsugi!"
The next moment, a dark coffin of extreme spiritual pressure enveloped Vimana, countless shadow blades piercing towards Vimana and Gilgamesh inside.
Quickly, Kurohitsugi began to dissipate.
As it vanished, the brilliance of Vimana shone once more, illuminating the Garganta.
This light caused Aizen's heart to sink.
Seeing the unscathed Vimana and Gilgamesh seated on its throne, Aizen's heart sank to the bottom.
Though the chantless Kurohitsugi was only a third of its full power, it should have been enough to defeat a weaker captain in one blow.
But this only strengthened Aizen's resolve to kill Gilgamesh.
Before Aizen could attack again, a missile launched from Vimana towards him.
Instinctively raising his Zanpakutō to block, he heard Gilgamesh's amused voice, "Aizen, feel the power of this ancient nuclear warhead."
Aizen's hand faltered, disbelief on his face, as if doubting his ears.
Did I hear that right?
A nuke? That missile is a nuke!?
