Chapter 15: The Final Confrontation
As they approached the facility, Ishan could feel his heart pounding in his chest. This was it – the final confrontation.
Raha looked at him, her eyes locked on his. "Are you ready for this?" she asked.
Ishan nodded. "I was born ready," he said, a smile spreading across his face.
Sarah, who was walking behind them, spoke up. "I'm sorry again for my betrayal," she said. "I hope I can make it right by helping you take down the facility."
Ishan turned to her, his expression serious. "You can start by telling us what we're up against," he said.
Sarah nodded. "The facility is heavily guarded," she said. "There are at least a dozen agents patrolling the perimeter, and who knows how many more inside."
Raha's eyes narrowed. "We'll need a distraction," she said.
Ishan nodded. "I've got an idea," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
As they approached the facility, Ishan pulled out a small device from his pocket. He pressed a few buttons, and suddenly the alarms began to blare.
The agents patrolling the perimeter looked at each other in confusion, unsure of what was happening.
Ishan grinned. "Now's our chance," he said, leading Raha and Sarah towards the entrance.
As they burst through the doors, Ishan's eyes scanned the room. He spotted the main control room, and his heart skipped a beat.
"That's where we need to go," he said, leading Raha and Sarah towards the control room.
But as they approached, they were confronted by a group of agents, led by the sinister Dr. Lee.
"Welcome, Ishan and Raha," Dr. Lee said, a smile spreading across his face. "I've been expecting you."
Ishan's eyes narrowed. "You're not going to get away with this, Dr. Lee," he said.
Dr. Lee chuckled. "Oh, I think I will," he said, pulling out a small device from his pocket.
As Ishan watched in horror, Dr. Lee pressed a button, and the room began to fill with a strange, pulsating gas.
"What is this?" Raha demanded, her voice panicked.
Dr. Lee smiled. "It's a neuralyzer," he said. "It will erase your memories, and you'll never remember who you are or what you've done."
Ishan's eyes locked onto Dr. Lee's. "You're not going to get away with this," he said, his voice firm.
But as the gas continued to spread, Ishan felt his memories begin to fade. He tried to hold on, but it was too late.
Everything went black.
