A boy sat inside a gazebo, sipping a cup of coffee. He gazed at the beautiful garden in front of him. The smell of lavenders mixed well with the morning hour.
The boy looked to be 18 yrs old, with medium length golden locks. His golden eyes sparkled like miniature suns, and his sharp features made him remarkably handsome.
His face was expressionless. His eyes seemed to be looking at something that was not present, and for a moment, his blank face broke into a slight smile.
"I really have returned. "
This boy, Cassius Von Breinheart, had regressed.
Yes, you heard that right.
Originally, he was Cassius von Breinheart, the supreme tyrant, and the strongest being to ever exist. He had died fighting against a God in the war against all but was somehow able to regress 5 years to the past. Before he had truly started to become strong and gain achievements.
He now had a chance to fix everything he did wrong, resolve all his regrets and grow even better than in his past life.
As Cassius set down his coffee, a sigh escaped his mouth.
Birds chirped in the distance as a gentle breeze blew through the entire garden. The leaves rustled for a second but then stopped just as fast. Everything was quite.
'The peace feels... odd. It's been a while since I just sat down and rested. I don't like it. '
His entire body was itching for battle, yet he had no way to provide it. It annoyed him to the core. 2 years of constant battle and blood had basically made his mind hardwired for war.
"Status." He called out.
Suddenly, a transparent screen appeared in front of Cassius, floating a little bit in front of his face.

"Nothing seems different except for Fist and kick mastery. They should still be around F rank right now. It must be because of my past life. " He said.
A normal person would probably faint upon seeing this status window. The average talent from another noble family would be around grade 1 high, but Cassius was far above that. And just having one affinity was rare enough, but two? And a Mythical and legendary one on top of that? Not to mention the Mythical constitution.
Even Cassius was surprised when he first saw it. But he had eventually gotten used to it.
'I should get to work. It's already been a day since I got back. '
He got up from his chair and walked down the garden path and into the main building of the Breinheart mansion. The maids that he saw along the way bowed in respect to him. He kept walking until he reached a training ground. The entrance was protected by two guards, who were currently talking to a butler.
"... only a month left until the academy re opens. "
"Yeah. I heard the young miss of the Ashword family is enrolling this year. "
"She's the same age as Young master Cassius isn't she? "
"Yes. I heard she's already a low grade 2! She'll probably be in the top 5 right? "
"Well what about our young master? He's a already an peak grade 2."
"Well whatever it is... "
Just then, the guards spotted Cassius walking towards them. They immediately turned stiff, standing at attention, their spears clutched tightly in their hands. The butler turned around to see the reason for their reaction and immediately broke out in a sweat.
"Y-young master Cassius. What b-brings you here? " He asked. His face had gone pale by now.
Cassius looked at the butler for a second and said.
"Get me two towels, a training uniform and some gauntlets. "
"Yes sir. "
The butler gave a short bow before briskly walking away. He turned towards the entrance to the training ground and walked in, briefly nodding at the guards salute.
A minute later after the butler delivered the items, he changed into the loose training uniform used by the cadets of the Breinheart knight order and warmed up.
He walked towards the training dummy clenched his fist.
A dark aura slowly came forth from his body, materializing into gold flames that coverd his arms. His hair caught ablaze, floating into the air.
He called upon his memory, remembering the battle technique of his family that he had yet to learn in this life.
The primordial fire that already surrounded his arms blazed brighter.
Boom
The ground shook as flames blasted out of his arms and hit the dummy. Scorched sand flew around.
Surprisingly, the dummy stood in the same spot, perfectly intact.
"Well it is made of magic wood. "
He then started executing every technique he knew at the dummy relentlessly. The surroundings grew unrecognizable, with golden flames dancing everywhere.
While he was trying out these techniques, a steady stream of mana was entering his body.
This was a method that Cassius had made in his previous life. Whenever he did a strenuous or heavy workout while absorbing mana, his gains would increase. It was also a good method at increasing his mana pool.
'Many people already know about this method, but don't use it due to the fact that absorbing mana from outside is far more difficult compared to controlling mana inside the body, so it's just a hindrance. But it always came to me naturally. '
While thinking this, he jumped in the air, twisted his body and kicked the dummies head.

Cassius stood in front of the still intact dummy. The training ground looked like some kind of golden hell, with scorched ground everywhere.
Glowing marks littered the ground around the training dummy.
'I have a rough understanding of this body's capabilities now. Better than I thought, really. '
His gaze fell on the screen in front of him.

"All that for only one percent. Well, It is a Mythical tier after all. Sigh this is going to be troublesome. "
The upper half of his training uniform was completely burnt of, while the lower half was singed in multiple places. His body was already showing signs of slight muscle development due to his mana absorption method.
Cassius lifted his hand and with a snap, all the flames surrounding him disappeared. After quickly washing up in the shower and changing, he walked out of the entrance.
The guards gave him a quick bow which he acknowledged with a slight nod. Cassius walked along the spacious hallway decorated with ornaments and magic artifacts.
"My birthday is next week. I'll probably be able to get in shape by then. " He mumbled to himself.
He could already guess this was going to be a strenuous week for him. Though that was kinda what he wanted.
He made his way to his room. A luxurious and spacious chamber greeted him when opened the door. A red king sized bed sat against the wall. A wardrobe that was filled with countless clothes, most of which he never has, and never will, wear.
Cassius walked out into the balcony and admired the view of the garden.
'One month, huh? ' he thought
A small smile graced his face.
"That's more than enough time. "
