Tick..
Tock..
Tick..
Tock..
The sounds of large bells kept ringing in her ears, but she couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from.
Tick..
Tock..
Whoosh!
Her vision felt blurry as she took a rushed, gasped for air, she was dying..at least that was what her body told her.
When her vision cleared, Fei Qinyue knew she was no longer in her laboratory, though she was expecting herself to make up in an hospital that's if she even survived the blast.
Wanting to scratch her head, a habit she had gotten used to whenever she was vexed.
But her hands thought midway, when she caught sight of the fair and frail hand in her peripheral.
"Do these hands belong to me?" She looked around the room, finally taking note of how different it looked, this was definitely not the hospital.
Her eyes planned on the almanac on the wall, as she stood up, her vision darkened for a short while as she felt her legs weaken, falling to the ground with a thud, raising her head, her eyes landed on the full mirror.
Long unkempt hair, dark circles that resembled that of a panda's, a frail looking body that was certainly not hers.
"What the hell?" falling to the ground, made her realize just how severely malnourished was this body.
As she examined the body, she couldn't help but feel a sense of detachment. Her subconscious had somehow been transmigrated into this malnourished vessel, and it was clear that the previous owner had suffered greatly.
She checked her pulse, feeling a mix of fascination and unease. The heartbeat was weak, but steady. Her eyes, looking at the mirror were sunken and tired, they seemed to hold a deep sadness.
She inspected her skin, dry and pale, and her fragile muscles, wondering how this body had survived for so long.
"It's a wonder I'm still alive," she whispered, her voice barely audible. She knew she had to take care of this body, but a part of her still felt like an outsider, a guest in someone else's skin.
"How did I get here?"
It didn't take long before she felt a sharp pain in her head, as memories, pain and suffering that were not her own filled her mind.
She guessed it was this body's memories, to think one's family could abandon them over such little things.
As she managed to straighten herself, and leaned against the bed. The last of the memories pouring in, ending with the body passing away after a self destruction.
Sighing, Fei Qinyue run a brief stats, as she tried to find out the location she was in. Her eyes landing on the almanac again, with a deep breath, she managed to crawl herself, close enough to see the dates, before stopping.
Halfway across the room.
She laid on the ground, her body too weak to move. Her eyes drifted towards the old almanac hanging on the wall. With a struggle, she crawled a bit closer, her vision blurry. Finally, she saw the words that made her heart skip a beat: "Year 578."
In that moment, everything clicked into place. She knew where she was, when she was, and what had happened to her.
The Era of the Dragon Empire - a timeline she had only read about in cultivation books - was now her reality.
The stories she loved, the legends she had grown up with, were all real…. Her soul had been transmigrated to a cultivation world.
But we're the stories real or was she in some kind of alternate universe?
All that didn't matter, what mattered was that she had to find a way to give this body strength.
Crawling back to bed, she managed to prop herself into the bed.
This was shitty! This body was completely alone, no one cared about her well-being at all.
Ding!
She heard a loud voice ring in her head, as she looked around for the voice, it spoke again.
Master's subconscious as be unlocked, Green valley pavilion has been opened.
Qinyue's eyes darkened, as she immediately became alert.
"Who are you and what pavilion are you talking about?"
The voice died for a while before coming to life again.
I am Chichi, the consciousness of the Green valley pavilion, I am the care take of the dharma space, would you like to take a look?.
Qingyue blinked, a space? Like the one the mc's in the novels usually had? This body had a space and she didn't use it?
If master has questions I'll gladly answer then in the space.
With a firm nod, Qingyue let a breath as she replied "Take me there then.."
Ding!
The lock's mechanism disengaged with a soft click. A warm, golden light spilled out, bathing Fei Qingyue in its radiance. The air vibrated with anticipation, like the quiet moment before a storm breaks.
Without warning, a gentle force wrapped around Fei Qingyue, drawing her into the space. The world blurred, colors bleeding together like watercolors on a wet paper.
Fei Qingyue's heart skipped a beat as they floated toward the entrance. A iridescent display of colors exploded around her, and the air filled with whispers and chimes.
Visions burst forth, revealing ancient secrets and mysterious landscapes. Fei Qingyue's mind reeled, struggling to keep pace with the new revelations.
And yet, amidst the turmoil, Fei Qingyue felt an eerie sense of calm. It was as if they'd finally found a piece of herself, she never knew was missing.
As the visions faded, Fei Qingyue stood at the heart of the space. The colors had dimmed, leaving only a soft, golden glow.
She looked around, awestruck, knowing her worldview been forever changed.
Master welcome to the Green valley pavilion, please make yourself at home, I'll change to my true form, so we answer your questions.
Saying this, a set of chair and table appeared, followed by a neatly arrange set of piping hot tea and some pastries.
Focusing on the new environment, she didn't notice the white light that had died down.
"Would master like to take a sit? "
