Thalina paced back and forth, her voice rising with each word as she pointed an accusing finger at Zorath.
"Do you even realize what you've done? My reputation—ruined! Everyone thinks the Third Lord is courting me now! How am I supposed to face anyone after this?"
She stopped to glare at him, her chest heaving in frustration. "I'm so done for!"
Zorath, sitting cross-legged with his arms lazily resting on his knees, barely seemed affected.
His tail swayed lazily behind him as he studied her like she was throwing a tantrum over something trivial.
"Why does it matter what they think?" he muttered, scratching his neck. "You're my female anyway."
Thalina spun around, her eyes blazing. "Excuse me? I am not your female! And it matters because I have to work here! Do you understand what 'reputation' even means?" She gestured wildly, her voice cracking from the strain of scolding him for so long.
