"I-I'm sorry....did I wake you..." I asked softly.
He shook his head no. He was so confusing to me. One day he's all serious and quirky and the other day he's just quiet, and soft.
"I-I should probably l-leave." I spoke about to get up but his grip on my tightened pulling me closer to him.
"Not yet....stay.....just a little longer..."he
uttered quietly in my ear, shutting his eyes once more.
I could see that he too was tired. I never actually noticed him sleeping. Every time I go to bed he's either out or in his office and when I wake up he's already awake. Maybe he didn't have a good relationship with sleep or maybe I'm just thinking too much. Meh what do I know?
He seemed so mysterious, I know nothing
about him. Maybe he doesn't want me to know anything about him? But if he's going to be my husband the least I could do is know just a little about him right?
After a few days I received a phone call from my mother. "Hello mom?" I answered.
"Hello dear why don't you drop by the house this evening I want to discuss something with you." She said.
"Ok sure I'm free after 4" I replied.
"Ok great, see you then and bring Ian." She
responded.
"I'm not sure if he's free." I replied.
"What do you mean? You're supposed to know his schedule." She said. I sighed.
"I'Il see if he could come." I replied
After the phone call with my mom I had my
assistant call Ian and ask if he's free.
Seriously I don't have time for this. Just then
Ian called me. "Hello." I said in an annoyed tone.
"Why does your mom want me to come?" He asked.
"I don't know, if you don't want to you can just say you're busy." I replied barely paying attention to the phone call. I didn't
even realize he hung up.
Oh well. After work Jackson was waiting me outside.I opened the door to find Ian inside.
"I thought you didn't want to come?" I asked.
He just shrugged his shoulders.
"Someone's moody..." I mumbled rolling my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me!" He scolded. I heard Jackson give a light chuckle. "Aren't you both just the perfect match. "Shut up!" We said in unison.
Jackson just laughed. He always joked around saying Ian and I were made for each other.
Made of each other' my ass.
We arrived and my mom lead us to the living
room. "All right I won't want to have you two
long, so, you both will attend a gala." She spoke.
Wtf? "The gala is in London, you both will fly
out next week and attend representing your
companies." She said. "Wait. Why can't you
and dad just go?" I asked.
"Because this would be great opportunity for you both and also to show your relationship publicly." She informed.
I sighed. Now I have to go to a stupid party
with more stuck up rich kids, and I have to get
something to wear. Ugh. I hate my life, I really
do.
The days flew by fast and we have to leave for gala in 2 days. I still had nothing to wear "What about this one?"Isha asked.
"That ones pretty." Jackson said. He insisted that he came with me, for safety. I wasn't sure why but I was too stressed about other things to ask about it.
"No I don't want something too extravagant I
don't want attention drawn to me." I replied.
"Why don't you ask Ian? He is your fiance
after all...." Isha nudged.
"No way, he's busy anyways, and he wouldn't care, besides I don't need him."' I replied.
"Whatever you say." Isha said clearly not convinced.
"Are you sure you don't want me to call him?" Jackson inquired.
"No I'm fine why does everyone think I need
Ian?!"
