3:00 PM.
As classes at Sobu High came to an end, Tadakuni, Yoshitake, and Hideyoshi bolted out of their Class 2-D classroom, heading straight for the school's bike parking lot.
An hour earlier, they were still seething with indignation. Together, they hatched a plan to ambush that white-haired menace at the parking lot.
Their genius scheme? Lock up his electric scooter to inconvenience him. If they couldn't confront him directly, they'd at least ensure he'd be late getting home.
Finally, in the parking lot, they found their target—the source of their muddy misfortunes from earlier that day:
The Scooter.
"Hehehe, now that we've found it, don't blame us for being merciless," Yoshitake cackled villainously, extending his hand behind him.
"Tadakuni, quick, give me the lock before that white-haired jerk shows up!"
"On it!"
Tadakuni's response was swift… but instead of hearing the jingle of a lock, there was the unmistakable rustling of clothes.
Rustle, rustle—
"Here, take it! Make sure you tie it up good and tight!"
"Uh, alright…" Yoshitake replied automatically, grabbing what was handed to him.
But the texture felt… off. Soft and flexible?
Looking down, he realized with horror—he was holding a school uniform.
A uniform and pants.
Spinning around, he saw Tadakuni standing there, completely calm, covering his upper and lower body with his hands. The only thing he still wore was his underwear.
"What are you staring at? Hurry up and tie it up! That guy could show up any second!" Tadakuni said, urgency in his voice.
Tie it up…?
Staring at the uniform and belt in his hands, Yoshitake was silent.
Weren't they supposed to use a bike lock?
Before he could protest, Hideyoshi's face lit up with sudden realization.
"I get it now!" Hideyoshi exclaimed, stripping off his own uniform until he was left in just his boxers. He handed his clothes to Yoshitake, nodding confidently.
"One piece of clothing isn't enough for both wheels. Take mine too!"
"Ohhh, smart thinking, Hideyoshi! Now there's no way that guy can ride this scooter!" Tadakuni said, full of admiration.
"Of course! I'm Hideyoshi, after all!" Hideyoshi adjusted his glasses, his chest puffed out with pride.
While Tadakuni and Hideyoshi celebrated their "brilliance," Yoshitake stared at the warm clothes in his hands, his face devoid of emotion.
Why… why are these two my friends?
Using clothes to lock a scooter? What were they doing—cleaning it with their shirts?
"I'm out," Yoshitake declared, tossing the clothes back at them before walking away.
Clearly, heading home to play video games or read manga was the better choice.
"What's wrong with Yoshitake?" Tadakuni asked, puzzled.
"No idea. Whatever, let's finish this!" Hideyoshi replied.
Unbothered, the two quickly twisted their clothes into makeshift ropes, pulling them taut for effect. With matching mischievous grins, they crouched near the scooter's wheels, ready to execute their master plan.
From a distance, though, their crouched positions made it look like they were doing… something inappropriate to the scooter.
"Hey! What are you two doing?!"
A loud, gruff voice startled them.
Freezing in place, they turned to see an angry security guard storming toward them, baton in hand.
"Oh no, it's the security guard! What do we do, Hideyoshi?"
"What else? Cover your face and run! If we're caught, we'll get detention and our parents will be called!"
Grabbing their discarded uniforms, they covered their faces like amateur thieves and sprinted off, the guard chasing after them furiously.
Meanwhile, a certain white-haired fool arrived at the parking lot and walked up to his scooter.
Noticing something unusual, he scratched his head in confusion.
"Huh? Why is my e-donkey so clean today?"
