Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

"And how do you intend to control her by having just a little bit of her hair? That girl seems uncontrollable," Arabella said.

Sir. Oliver smiled. "I have been the king's personal man for years for a reason. Leave the rest to me. When I'm done with all I have to do, she'll come running to us for help. It'll be nice to see that thing in pain, tamed and controlled….then we'll sieze the opportunity to take some of her blood and the rest will be in Lord Chris's hands while I get you prepared to meet his highness," sir. Oliver answered.

"Prepared?" She asked.

"I told you earlier the his highness says he only feels relieved whenever he holds Mala. We can make him feel the same way with you, but only if we put a bit of mala inside you," sir. Oliver answered and Arabella smiled.

"Thank you so much for being on my side. I won't let you down, I promise," Arabella said, giving sir. Oliver a slight hug.

"I'll take my leave now," she said before walking out.

Sir. Oliver was about to leave, when Lord Chris's voice held him back. "And when will I be getting the spell book?" He asked.

"After everything is done, and I am sure that Mala is dead and his highness is in good condition," Sir. Oliver answered.

"You're not fooling me, are you? I am sure you know what is at stake if you do not fulfill your promise and I agree to help Francis?" Lord Chris asked.

"You have nothing to worry about," Sir. Oliver said, before leaving.

Few minutes after sir. Oliver left, Agatha walked into the room, carrying their toddler in her hands. "And why have you decided to help the king? Have you forgotten what he did you? How he betrayed you? He was supposed to make you a king and he didn't. Yet you are helping him?" Agatha asked, with her eyes beaming with anger.

Obviously, she was doing everything that she could to get on Chris's good side.

"You really think I'm as stupid as you are, don't you?" Lord Chris asked. His voice was just as cold as always.

"Then…what's your plan?" She asked, laying the child on the bed.

"Once I have the spell book, I'll save Mala and make her mine. The only thing holding me back is the Moon spell that I do not have. It's in the spell book and once I have it, I'll have Mala by my side, make her my queen and kill Francis as well as every single one on his side," lord Chris answered and his eyes turned red.

"And what about me? You really do not…include me in any of your plans, do you? You'll choose her over me?" Agatha asked.

"Learn to put yourself where you belong. It's more than enough that I will be sparing your life. Take your child and leave if you want to. No one is holding you," Lord Chris answered.

"I'm worried about you, even though you do not love me. I'm worried about your plan to kill Francis. What if ..what if you do not succeed?" Agatha asked with nothing but sincerity in her eyes.

Lord Chris laughed. "What do you think I am? A weakling? I have been preparing for this, my whole life. Once I have the spell book, I'll be the strongest being that would ever exist. I'll kill Francis in the most painful way you could think of, then I'll have Mala all to myself. She's the only one that matches my energy," Lord Chris said with a smile on his face.

"Because she's a witch?" Agatha asked.

Lord Chris didn't utter a word.

"Then make me a witch too. If that's why you love her, then why don't you make me a witch too? Teach me everything that I need to know, I beg you," Agatha cried and she fell on her knees. She crawled towards him and held his legs.

"I am willing to do all that it takes to…." Lord Chris only glared at her and she fell to the ground, unconscious. "I know what I want and it will never be you."

~Mala's (Aurora) POV

It was late in the evening and I didn't know why, but I was feeling quite uneasy. My stomach was feeling quite weird and I felt like throwing up, but as much as a tried, I couldn't. It felt like my inside was tied into a knot.

I wondered when Francis would be back…maybe he would at least take me to see a healer. I laid on the bed, rolling and turning but I just couldn't find a comfortable spot.

Knock! Knock!

"Who's there?" I asked, weakly as I walked towards the door. I sincerely just wished it was madam Olivia…she would have something to help with the strange feeling.

I opened the door and found the old man from the other day standing by the entrance.

"I am sure you know his highness isn't around. What brings you here?" I asked, trying to hide how uncomfortable I felt.

"I didn't come to see his highness. I came to see you, Mala," the man said and for the first time, he smiled at me.

I swallowed and forced a smile through my lips. I was sweaty and I badly just wanted to sit. "this isn't the time to talk for me please. I do not feel too good. Can we please talk some other time?" I asked leaving to the door post.

"It's better that you come with me now, Mala if you truly want the pain to stop," he said with a straight face. I looked into his eyes and his words sent chills down my spine.

"What.. what do you mean?" I managed to ask. He looked at me and the pain worsened. It felt like there was fire under my skin and my stomach ache worsened.

"Ahhh!" I cried and I fell to the ground.

"I hope you understand what I mean now," the old man said with a smirk.
