Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: A Dangerous Desire

The morning after their kiss was a blur. Ji Hoon woke up with a strange mixture of excitement and dread swirling in his chest. The kiss had been unexpected, yes, but it had also been everything he had longed for. There was no denying the chemistry between him and Tae Joon, but that didn't make things any less complicated.

As Ji Hoon sat at his desk, he tried to focus on the work in front of him, but his mind kept drifting back to the kiss. The way Tae Joon had looked at him afterward, the softness of his touch—it had been more than just a moment of passion. It was a promise, one that Ji Hoon wasn't sure he was ready to keep.

The office was quiet that morning, the hum of the air conditioning the only sound in the room. Ji Hoon glanced up and caught a glimpse of Tae Joon entering the office. The intern looked as composed as always, but Ji Hoon couldn't help but notice the faint flush on his cheeks. Tae Joon met his gaze for a split second before quickly looking away, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

Ji Hoon's heart skipped a beat, but he quickly turned his attention back to his work, trying to ignore the fluttering in his chest. There was something about Tae Joon's presence that had a magnetic effect on him. It wasn't just physical attraction—it was the way Tae Joon made him feel alive, the way he made Ji Hoon question everything he thought he knew about himself.

At lunchtime, Ji Hoon found himself waiting for Tae Joon outside the building, his stomach knotting in anticipation. He had no idea what he was doing, or what he was even hoping for, but the pull toward Tae Joon was undeniable. As soon as the intern stepped outside, Ji Hoon smiled, trying to keep his nerves at bay.

"Hey," Tae Joon greeted him, his voice light, though Ji Hoon could see the undercurrent of tension in his eyes. "How are you feeling today?"

Ji Hoon shrugged, his usual calm demeanor slipping just a little. "I'm good. Just trying to focus on work."

Tae Joon raised an eyebrow, as if sensing the unease beneath Ji Hoon's words. "You seem a little distracted."

"I'm just… thinking," Ji Hoon replied, his voice quieter than usual. The weight of what had happened between them the night before hung heavily in the air.

Tae Joon studied him for a moment before his expression softened. "I've been thinking too."

Ji Hoon's heart skipped at the words. He hadn't expected Tae Joon to acknowledge the kiss so openly, but there it was—out in the open.

"What do we do now?" Ji Hoon asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Tae Joon reached out, his hand brushing against Ji Hoon's lightly. "We take it one step at a time."

The gesture was simple, but it was enough to send a surge of warmth through Ji Hoon's body. It wasn't just physical—it was a promise, a promise that they would figure this out together, no matter what it meant.

They spent the rest of the afternoon in an easy silence, their proximity feeling more natural than it had ever been before. The connection between them was undeniable, but Ji Hoon couldn't help but wonder where it would lead. He was beginning to realize that this wasn't just a fleeting moment of desire—it was something far more dangerous, something he wasn't sure he could control.

That night, as Ji Hoon lay in bed, he couldn't stop thinking about Tae Joon. He replayed their kiss over and over in his mind, each time feeling the same rush of heat in his chest. It wasn't just the physical attraction—it was the way Tae Joon made him feel, the way he made him question his own desires.

Ji Hoon knew he was treading dangerous ground. He had always kept his emotions locked away, preferring to maintain control over every situation. But with Tae Joon, control was slipping through his fingers, and it scared him.

He couldn't afford to let this go any further. Not with someone who was still an intern, not with someone who could ruin everything Ji Hoon had worked so hard to build. But at the same time, he couldn't shake the feeling that this—whatever this was—was exactly what he needed.

The pull between them was strong, and Ji Hoon knew that it was only a matter of time before they both crossed the line once again.
