Four hours later!
Jackson and the rest of the Larson family members were waiting inpatienly at the hall when the doctor came out of the room, his face looked pale as if he was about to break a bad news. "I'm sorry Mr. Jackson I have done my best to heal her but I couldn't."
" Doctor, please why can't you heal her. Please try your best to help her."
The Doctor sighed. " She is suffering from a heart attack. There's nothing I can do about it. It is beyond me now. If you like you can send her to a higher hospital." The doctor bowed slightly before he left.
" Jackson, how much do we have in the family's bank account?" Asked, Jackson's mother.
"Mom, we only have 550,000$."
"That is still small. We have a lot of projects that we need to do with the money. Taking her to a different hospital will make her bills more expensive" Jackson mother said as she sat down.
"But we cannot let Grandma die like that. We have to do something"
Everyone was quiet as they were thinking of a way to bring back their patriarch.
But that couldn't be said for Lucy, she was Jackson's second sister. " Why don't we share it amoungst ourselves now that Granny is about to die?"
" No! You are not going to use the money for yourself." Darrel yelled as he walked into the hospital.
Suddenly all eyes were on him.
"Darrel, how are you not dead. Were you fooling us of being paralyzed?"
Darrel sighed, as he continue to walk towards them. "It is none of your business"
When Jackson's mother heard this, she slapped Darrel. "How dare you show your face again. You are the reason granny is in such a state. You fool all of us all, how can you be so shameless."
Darrel was speechless. "I didn't lie to all of you… it was a miracle that I was able to survive"
"Pfft.. I miracle? You think we are fools!" All the members were staring at Darrel coldly, especially Lucy.
Lucy has been hating Darrel since the beginning of time. It was because Darrel was never really a member of the family. His mother was a maid who happens to sleep with her father accidentally, because of this, none of the family members regarded him as worthy human being.
"Darrel what do you want now? Leave!" Jackson from nowhere began pushing Darrel around." This is all your fault "
"Yes, Darrel you should leave! It is because of you that she is in this state." Added Jackson's mother.
However, Darrel looked at them shocked at their behavior. "It's my fault? You guys wanted me to die! You should thank me that I'm not seeking revenge on you for using my insurance money"
"Haha, Darrel, you are very full of yourself. Who said we were afraid of you! Using your insurance money was the only important thing we have gotten from you in the family. "Lucy scoffed as she pushed Darrel aside.
Darrel looked at the people who once thought were his family members. "So you guys all want me to leave? Even after all you guys did to me. I was thinking I could help heal granny but just forget it!"
" Hahaha, you hear yourself Darrel, you were thinking of helping us by healing Granny? What are you, a Doctor?" Jackson sneered at him.
" hahaha, I cannot believe Darrel thinks that highly of himself."
They continue to mock Darrel there and then until he couldn't take it anymore. His face was red as he stormed out of the room.
" Mom," Jackson Walk towards his mother. "How are we going to solve this problem. Why don't you ask one of your friends for money"
"Okay, I will try" Hella pulled out her phone and contracted one of her friends. "Hello Mia, please I need your help with something"
"Hello, Mia.." Mia cut the call the moment she heard Hella's request.
Not wanting to lose face Hella contacted almost all her friends but none of them was willing to borrow her money.
"None of my friends are willing to help me. What should we do next?"
Everyone started making their own calls but in the end, none of their connections worked.
Not that they couldn't take her to a hospital but they were just afraid they will have to stop a family project because of a mess Darrell has caused so now instead of using Darrel's money they are now going to have to redraw money from their family account.
"Mom" Said Jerry one of the family members.
"Why don't we use Darrell's insurance money to send granny to a better hospital. Perhaps we could use that to pay for her bills."
