Ken widened his eyes as he looked at the blue transparent screen that floated in front of him; he was left in shock. Only a fool wouldn't know what it was. In his past life, Ken was a shut-in who did nothing but study. In his free time, he would watch anime, read manga, and immerse himself in novels to fuel his loneliness. How could he not know? Several hundred anime feature characters with system-like abilities, 500 to 1000 manga, and approximately 2000 novels; he would be an idiot if he didn't know what was happening. How did he know this information, some might ask? Well, as a graduate from Kamii University, he had a vested reputation for being intensely intelligent, but of course, this intelligence was highly thanks to his nearly perfect photographic memory, which he was fortunate enough to keep after the transmigration. And now he had become one of them; he had become one of those stupid characters in anime who had gained this ability but acted in stupid ways or didn't have the brains to fully utilize it. And now that seemingly golden finger was floating right in front of him like a screen of magic.
Five minutes passed, and Ken was busy analyzing the system that stood before him. During that process, he had learned five things. First: the system is like an information carrier; it doesn't show Ken his stats or give him an inventory; it only shows relevant information like templates and abilities. Second: the templates are like bookmarks, meaning they are required to reach 100% before you unlock a new one. Third: not all abilities are unlocked at the same time, but each ability is unlocked depending on the percentage of the template in use. Fourth: information about the abilities and their use is automatically transplanted into the brain instantly. Fifth: these abilities cannot exceed the potential of the template's original owner; when the potential is reached, the template will become 100% and then the next one will be unlocked. Still sitting down, Ken couldn't help but laugh loudly, laughing as if he was a madman, touching his face and slapping himself a couple of times, turning his gaze to the roof as if trying to assure himself that it wasn't a dream. If it was, he would probably end his life. Suddenly, as he was about to indulge in his happiness, he seemed to be losing consciousness. "I guess the alcohol is working," he said, as he led himself to the ground and slept.
Waking up from his long slumber, Ken raised his head and looked out the window, realizing he had slept through the entire night as it was already morning. Standing up and looking at his bandaged body, he could see the blood marks on his bandages. Moving to the counter, he took a pair of new bandages and medicines, and used them on himself. Luckily, the sun had brought in visible light, so it was easy for him to bandage himself properly. Looking at the different varieties of medicine at his sight, he smiled as he saw what he had been searching for since the night before. Picking it up to view it properly, it was as expected, [Carprofen], a remedy for dogs, which is used as a painkiller. Although it wasn't specially made for humans, Ken had a feeling that it would still be effective, judging by the world he was now living in, a world where some humans are born with animal features; he was sure that most animal medicines were made to be harmless for human consumption. Opening the bottle and drinking a sip, he felt as if it was made only of sugar and bitter substances. "I guess it was really for dogs," he said as he laughed at himself. Moving his body, he saw a sliding door that led to a wardrobe of hospital clothing for doctors, light blue in color and oversized for Ken's age, for he was only 10 years old. Grabbing them and grabbing a scissor from the wardrobe, he cut the clothes so that they could fit his figure; although they were still large, they did fit. Taking some wipes that were close to the medicine, he wiped his face and entire body until he felt comfortable with his skin, wearing the clothes he had just gotten, he felt satisfied.
"Let's Take a look at the abilities," he said with excitement evident in his voice. It seemed that he had gotten a template from Mei Mei, who is a character from "Jujutsu Kaisen." It is a powerful ability that has both offense and defense capabilities. Stretching out his hand, suddenly, as if made from nothing, a black ball of energy appeared, moving as if it was alive, trying to take form, expanding and expanding until finally it became a baby crow. It was dark black in color and appeared right on top of Ken's arm; it had dark red pupils as if resembling those of Ken's. Its body kept releasing dark black energy as if made entirely of darkness. Although the energy was faint, Ken could still see it.
