The 46th Year of Konoha
In the Land of Fire, on the road leading to the Hidden Leaf Village, an oxcart rolled steadily along.
A handsome young man with black hair, his head covered in bandages, struggled to sit up.
"Hiss... My head hurts. Where am I?"
Uchiha Yuma opened his eyes to see a white-haired child in front of him, holding the reins of the ox cart.
The white-haired child turned around, sensing that his companion had woken up.
"Finally, you're awake. I thought you might not make it to the village," he said, expressionless.
"You...you...you're Kakashi?" Yuma stammered, pointing at the white-haired boy.
Seeing the familiar mask, his eyes widened as if he wanted to say something, but a sharp headache overtook him, forcing him to lie down again.
"Hey, hey! Why are you lying down again?" Kakashi called out, quickly stopping the ox cart. With a leap, he landed beside Yuma.
At that moment, a voice echoed in Yuma's mind:
[Ding~ Host's consciousness has awakened. The 'Entry Extraction System' has been activated. Welcome to the system!]
"Um?"
"A system? Wait, have I traveled through time?"
Suddenly, a wave of information surged through Yuma's mind.
Moments later, he processed the details and understood everything.
He was now Uchiha Yuma, reborn in the world of Naruto after dying in his previous life during a mudslide. In this life, he was a 12-year-old orphan from the esteemed Uchiha clan.
However, before awakening his past life's memories, his talent was mediocre, barely registering within the Uchiha clan's high standards. Mediocrity had relegated him to the ninja academy, a path for either prodigies or the clan's least talented.
Much like Obito Uchiha before obtaining his Sharingan, Yuma had been stuck in the latter category. After graduating, he'd joined a similarly average team. On their first serious mission, disaster struck—his teammates perished, leaving only himself, seriously injured, and the prodigy Kakashi Hatake.
"Great... I'm in the Naruto world. Lucky or unlucky?" Yuma muttered internally.
He quickly calculated his position in the timeline: it was the 46th year of Konoha, just two years before the Third Ninja War. This gave him a narrow window to prepare for survival.
The system's functionality soon became clear. As long as he touched someone, he could extract a unique "entry" from them. These entries came in six tiers—white (lowest), green, blue, purple, gold, and red (highest). Each person, however, could only yield one entry.
For now, Yuma's status panel was dismal:

The system had also revealed that "battle points" could upgrade entries, but earning these points was beyond his current strength. For now, testing the system's extraction function was his only option.
Feigning weakness, Yuma groaned and sat up slowly.
"Kakashi... Can you give me some water?" he asked.
Kakashi hurriedly retrieved a water bottle from his ninja pouch.
The moment Yuma's hand brushed Kakashi's, a burst of radiant light filled his vision.
Gold, purple, blue, green, and white entries appeared before him.
"As expected of Kakashi," Yuma thought, marveling at the variety of entries. Though he couldn't extract the legendary "red" tier, the golden entry alone was a jackpot.
"System, extract!" he commanded.
In an instant, golden light surged into Yuma's panel, adding a new entry:
[Genius (Gold)]: Significantly enhances comprehension, creativity, and adaptability.
Yuma's heart raced with excitement.
"This is amazing! Comprehension for learning, creativity for innovating, and adaptability for survival—this is why Kakashi became such a legend!"
With the golden entry installed, a flood of new insights filled Yuma's mind. He could now instinctively control chakra with precision, understand Uchiha techniques, and analyze ninjutsu with ease.
"Before, I was mediocre. But now, I'm a genius."
The road ahead was clear. To survive the upcoming war and beyond, Yuma needed resources and power. The Uchiha clan, though insular, would be his first target.
"Kakashi," he said, snapping out of his thoughts as the gates of Konoha came into view.
"We're almost there," Kakashi replied, his voice devoid of emotion.
Yuma's lips curled into a determined smile.
"Let the preparations begin."
