From inside the Sapphire, I observed my new parents' reaction.Am I gonna be abandoned again? will they hate me?I felt my heart squeeze inside my chest thinking about what will happen next.My mother was the first to approach me, and she reached out her hand to take me out of the ball of mana. I noticed the sapphire change color from its normal blue to a light blue as soon as my mother's hand reached inside to get me.I guess I truly lack any magical abilities."You don't have to worry, Anya, You're more than enough just as you are. You have us, Magic is not the only thing that defines you, little one. You'll find your own way. You're our precious daughter, and that's what matters most." she said as she cradled me in her arms."Let's take it one step at a time, my sweet Anya," she whispered. "We'll face everything together, alright?"Hearing Mom say that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like everything was going to be okay."She's our daughter, with or without magic, and that's never going to change!" Father said, his voice serious, like he was trying to reassure both me and Mom.Mister Detemir smiled gently and ruffled my hair. "The Princess is still the Princess, with or without magic. It's not the first time this has happened, so don't worry, Princess.""Hey! Hands off!" Father immediately smacked Mister Detemir's hand away, clearly not happy about someone touching me like that.Mom leaned down and kissed my forehead, smiling softly. "Anya, Mommy and Daddy will always love you, no matter what."Mister Detemir, still grinning, added, "If the Princess is interested, after her coming-of-age ceremony, she could try something like swordsmanship, or hey, she could even be my apprentice! The church doesn't discriminate, and honestly, I wouldn't mind having such a cute apprentice." He winked at me.Father frowned hard. "That will never happen."I couldn't help but smile. I could feel the love from both of them, and in that moment, I knew I was lucky. Magic or no magic, I was loved and cared for.As they argued over what I should do next, I kind of zoned out. I was busy thinking about what I could do in this world. Even without magic, I wasn't going to let that stop me. I'd find my own way to be awesome. There had to be something else I could be good at cause why else am I reincarnated right?◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇"Anya, I heard about the God Blessing from Mom and Dad," Tristan, the crowned prince of the empire, said, his serious expression softening as he looked at me.Both of my brothers rushed into my room as soon as they heard the news about my God Blessing ceremony. I could feel their concern for me, like they wanted to comfort me, but had no idea how to go about it. They just stood there, staring at me in silence, looking all awkward. Calvin even nudged Tristan, clearly urging him to say something, but neither of them could seem to find the right words. It was sweet, but kind of funny too.I stood up on my little legs and tried to run toward them as best as I could. They saw me wobbling and immediately started walking toward me, clearly expecting me to fall any second. It was kind of funny how they were being all cautious, like I couldn't handle a few steps, but I was determined."Don't wowy, Brothew, I'm strong! I'm brave! I'm gonna be a warrior!" I shouted proudly, puffing out my little chest. Both brothers exchanged a glance, then looked at me with surprised but relieved expressions."Anya doesn't have to be a warrior; I'll protect Anya," Brother Calvin declared with a look of pure determination on his face, like he'd just found his life's mission."Yes, like Calvin said," Tristan added, his voice softening as he leaned down to stroke my head. "Anya just has to be Anya; she doesn't have to do anything."Their words made me feel so loved, but deep inside, I still had this burning desire to be more, to be special. I had all these memories from my past life, and I knew that there had to be more to this world than just sitting idly by. But what could I do? What was my purpose?"But Anya want to Pwotect Brothers too!" I said, looking up at them, my little hands gripping their fingers. Both brothers froze, their eyes wide. I can see that they felt touched and happy by my words."Anya will be strong and protect both bwother in the future too!" I added, my voice full of determination.Tristan staggered back like I'd knocked him out, clutching his chest, eyes a little teary. "Ah, to have such a cute sister," he said, his voice cracking as he tried to compose himself.Calvin, on the other hand, was absolutely thrilled. His face lit up, and he jumped in place like a happy little puppy. "Let's do that!! Let's be strong and protect each other!" He shouted, and before I knew it, he bolted out of the room like a superhero in a movie—faster than anyone I'd ever seen.I giggled, feeling my heart warm even more. It was moments like this that made me feel truly loved, surrounded by family who wanted to protect me, even if I wasn't the strongest or most talented. I was still their Anya, and that's all that mattered.-Years passed, and before I knew it, I'm already six years old. Today was supposed to be my coming-of-age ceremony, but since I don't have any magic, there was no need to test my mana capacity.A ball will be held to commemorate my coming of age. My Nanny told me that reaching the age of six is significant for nobles because it marks the beginning of their social circle and attendance at tea parties.I'm excited to be able to go out without Mom and Dad, but what happens tomorrow excites me even more. The first day of my Basic self-defense instruction begins tomorrow. Brother Calvin explained to me that basic self-defense is the foundation of all martial arts, and that once I've learned it, I'll be able to pick which weapon I wish to master. My brother has been preparing to be a swordsman since completing his mandatory education at the academy. He is now a disciple of retired master swordsman Sir Condoriano, and has been studying under him for a year, ever since Brother completed his compulsory education at the age of 11.On the other side, Brother Tristan is carrying out his obligations as a Crowned Prince. He is now directly under the authority of our father and has been dispatched to several locations. I haven't seen my brother in a long time, and I'm wondering how he's doing and if he'll be here for the Ball later. After fixing my hair, the maids around me mused, "Princess Anya, you look absolutely stunning."In the mirror, I examined myself. I'm still in disbelief that this is me.Ocean blue eyes, silver white hair, scarlet lips, and rosy cheeks. I appear to be both gorgeous and otherworldly. I pinched my cheeks up to double-check that the person staring back at me in the mirror was indeed me."Anya!" I turned to face the source of the loud voice and saw Brother Calvin smiling at me through the door."Prince Calvin! I already told you that running in the hallway is forbidden! There are eyes everywhere today, so please be extra careful," My Nanny said to Brother Calvin, who was standing by the door frame."Brother!" I exclaimed as I ran up to him, and he naturally opened his arms wide.I hugged him and he lifted me up"You are abnormally small Anya, look, I can carry you like a baby," Bother Cal said as he allowed me to sit on his forearm and supported my back with his other hand."I'm not small! You're just too big!" I said while puffing my cheeksTrue, but could it have been due to magic? Despite the fact that he is only 12 years old, my brother is quite tall. He's as tall as Daddy now, and I'd say he's at least 180 cm tall."Princess!" Nanny Anna was about to scold me when someone unexpectedly entered the room."just let her be this time, Anna" a familiar voice said from behindWhen I turned around, I saw Brother Tristan."Brother Tris!" I said as I stretched my hand to himhe took me from Brother Cal's arms and hugged me"Happy Birthday Anya, are you ready?" He asked with a smile"Hm" I said and nodded my head with a big smile.-As I made my way down the grand staircase to the Great Ballroom, everything around me felt huge and overwhelming. The chandeliers above twinkled like stars, and the marble floor gleamed so brightly it almost hurt my eyes. The room was massive, with tall columns stretching up to the ceiling and tapestries hanging on the walls, showing off the empire's proud history. My two brothers were holding my little hands, helping me down the stairs. I could feel everyone's eyes on us, and it made me a little nervous, but when I looked ahead, I saw Mom and Dad sitting on their thrones in the front. Mom smiled at me, and her expression said it all—You can do this. It made me feel a little braver.I smiled back, but I noticed people were whispering below us, especially the lower-ranking nobles. Most of them were seeing me for the first time, and I could tell they were shocked. Everyone knew the rumors—about me being magic-less—and I was pretty sure they were all curious to see if it was true. When I reached the platform where our thrones were, my brothers walked to their seats, and I was about to go to mine when suddenly, Dad picked me up. He sat down on his throne and plopped me onto his lap. The whole room went quiet, and the whispers stopped. I looked over at Mom, but she was staring down at the nobles with a look that could freeze anything in its path. What was going on? I didn't really understand the sudden tension.I reached up and touched Dad's chest, trying to get his attention. He turned to me, and I asked with wide eyes, "Daddy?" He smiled and pinched my cheeks, which made me feel a little better.Just then, some fancy-looking guy appeared and started saying a bunch of stuff, and suddenly, the room felt a lot less tense. The party kicked off, and it was like the weird atmosphere earlier had never even happened. The ballroom looked amazing—like something straight out of a fairytale. The chandeliers hung low, sparkling like diamonds, and the marble floors reflected the golden light from everywhere. It was my sixth birthday, and the place was buzzing with energy, yet there was something so cozy about it, too.Nobles were bowing and giving me gifts. It was kind of overwhelming, but also really sweet. Some people gave me these beautiful necklaces, little toys, and even hand-carved animals. I didn't know what to do with all the gifts, but I was so happy, I couldn't stop smiling. One nobleman came up and gave me a gorgeous sapphire necklace, and I couldn't help but beam. "Thank you!" I said as sweetly as I could, and everyone around me seemed to melt at the sight of it."Anya," Mom said as she lifted me into her arms, holding me close. "You are the heart of this empire, sweetheart. Always remember that."It was a good feeling, especially with all the talk about me not having magic. But right there, in her arms, surrounded by family, I felt like I didn't need magic to be special. Dad smiled down at me, putting his hand on my head. "You make this empire proud, little one. with or without magic, you're going to do amazing things."The party carried on with everyone laughing, dancing, and just enjoying themselves. Calvin and Tristan kept close by, with Calvin trying to sneak extra cake and Tristan playing the role of the serious older brother and making sure he didn't get caught. There was music, there was cake, and there was so much love in that room. It was the best birthday I could've asked for, and as I looked around at everyone smiling at me, I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
