Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: The Flames

Humans are inherently beautiful, and after undergoing training and meticulous grooming, their beauty becomes undeniable.

What stands out most is their confidence; confidence adds an irresistible charm to a person!

The recent period of training has only made them more self-assured.

A woman who is both beautiful and confident possesses an allure that is difficult to resist.

"Thank you!"

Zhao Lun's compliments made them even happier. Though they remained poised, they simply smiled faintly and nodded their gratitude before sitting down.

While they managed to maintain their poise, Maria had no such restraint. She was utterly delighted, sitting by Zhao Lun's side with her eyes twinkling like crescent moons, her cheeks displaying two adorable dimples.

"Are you still training?"

"Taking a day off, but we'll be training again soon."

"How do you feel now?"

"Feeling great."

"Yes, I've never felt better."

"If we make another movie, I believe 'The Beauty Special Forces' could be even more exciting!"

"Alright, if you're not afraid of those crazy fans, you can continue."

Zhao Lun's attitude toward their hobby was casual—so long as they didn't overdo it, they were free to enjoy themselves.

"Squeak..."

Just as they were enjoying the moment, the sound of a rat interrupted the conversation.

"Have there been more rats recently? I can still hear them squeaking here."

"Yeah, it seems like there's an increase in rats; I keep hearing them."

Mentioning rats caused the ladies' brows to furrow with visible distaste.

"Did you notice it too?"

"There have been more holes dug around the estate lately; these rats must have come in through them."

"So, we need to start clearing them out."

"There's no need to make this too complicated; just leave it to the maids of the estate."

"Alright, fine, let them handle it."

Rats were hardly a challenge; leaving it to the maids was more than enough.

"Just be cautious; there might be something unusual going on. Train hard."

"And if you train well, there'll be rewards!"

"Brother, does Maria get one too?"

"Of course!"

The little girl, satisfied, sat back beside him, bubbling with joy. Then, as if struck by inspiration, she bounced off toward the room, returning with a broom in hand.

Upon seeing what she was holding, the others immediately tensed, anxiously following her out.

Maria was mischievous, and when it came to playing with a flying broom, she was even more so. They feared she might cause an accident again.

By the time they emerged from the house, Maria was already soaring on her broom, zipping around the yard.

She flew low, racing through the confined space of the yard with incredible speed, making everyone worry she might crash into a wall at any moment.

"Hee hee..."

Maria didn't appear as clumsy as they feared; instead, she flew gracefully, like a fish gliding through water.

Nicole and the others, watching nervously, finally relaxed when they saw she was fine.

"She's getting better at flying."

With all the training and intensive practice, not only had their combat skills improved, but their reflexes and vision had sharpened too. They could now clearly see that Maria's flying had improved as well.

"Maria, look at this."

Zhao Lun produced a golden flying thief, its golden wings light and agile, resembling the wings of a bee. With a swoosh, it zipped away.

"Catch it!"

As Zhao Lun spoke, Maria took off after it, launching a chase in the yard.

In less than a quarter of an hour, the young girl had captured the golden thief.

"Not bad, here's your new gift!"

Zhao Lun handed her a new flying broom.

"Wow! A new flying broom!"

"The Nimbus 2000!"

"It's beautiful!"

This flying broom was far superior to the toy broom she had before. Its sleek design and graceful lines easily outclassed the previous one.

Maria examined it over and over, unable to get enough. Finally, she couldn't resist and mounted it. Immediately, the broom stirred, and with a swoosh, she soared into the air.

"Hee hee..." Her laughter echoed as she quickly disappeared from sight.

"..." Zhao Lun watched the sky, then retrieved his own broom, swooping after her.

In the sky.

"Brother, come chase me!"

This broom was nothing like the toy one—it responded instantly, propelling Maria into a swift ascent.

Seeing Zhao Lun give chase only spurred her on, and she called back, pushing her speed even further.

The wind howled, and the speed was so intense that speaking was impossible; otherwise, he would have called for her to slow down.

From above, looking down at the ground below, the view was dizzying, and anyone with a weak heart might have fainted from the height.

The higher she climbed, the colder it became, and eventually Maria started to feel the chill. Reluctantly, she stopped ascending.

Two snow owls swooped near her.

"Dodge! Snowshade!"

Maria recognized them and called out with joy.

The two owls, eager to approach, nearly caused Maria to lose her grip on the broom due to the strong winds.

"Maria, come with me!"

Zhao Lun caught up, saying nothing more, simply guiding her back down.

The temperature had plummeted too low up there. Her light clothing couldn't protect her any longer; even if Zhao Lun hadn't intervened, she would have descended on her own.

"Nice flying!"

"You could definitely be an excellent Seeker!"

Zhao Lun didn't chastise her. Instead, he praised her flying abilities.

Seeker was a sport that required excellent flying skills, and Maria clearly had an exceptional talent for it.

When she first tried the flying broom, with no one to teach her, she had flown effortlessly—a clear indication of her remarkable talent.

"Really?"

"Maria will definitely be a top-notch Seeker!"

She loved Quidditch and was thrilled by Zhao Lun's praise.

"However, even a great Seeker must know how to protect themselves. Your flight was a bit reckless today—don't do that again."

"Mm, Maria understands."

Maria was obedient, always following through with her promises.

Nicole and the others, relieved to see she wasn't being reckless, could finally relax.

After resting, they resumed their previous routines: some training, some experimenting.

By the sea, the fog seemed thicker. Zhao Lun was deep in thought, finally making a decision.

With a deep breath, a pitch-black portal appeared out of nowhere, beginning to absorb the two extreme forces.

Boom! The entire space seemed to ignite like a powder keg, shaking violently. Then, an overwhelming gravitational pull took over, no longer requiring Zhao Lun's control, continuing to absorb everything until the mist was completely cleared.

The surroundings were now pristine, with not a trace of fog. The sky was as clear as a washed canvas.

Inside the divine realm, the real tremors began.

A massive energy orb, black and white, appeared in the sky. Under the influence of the divine power, it rapidly contracted and was then absorbed into the great fireball above.

The fireball erupted like it had been doused in accelerant, growing larger and forming a colossal fiery bird. The bird let out a soft cry, expanded, and devoured the remaining black-and-white orb, before returning to the fireball.

When Zhao Lun entered, the raging flames felt out of control, engulfing him with a tremendous roar.
