Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Ada

Whoosh! A delicate feathered arrow flew out, embedding itself in the target with a soft thud.

"Seven-ring!" came the call from the side, a voice emerging from a nearby earpiece.

Whoosh! Another arrow flew, striking the target without fail.

"Nine-ring!" The voice reported again.

Whoosh!

"Six-ring!"

Whoosh!

"Five-ring!"

Whoosh!

"Ten-ring!"

Whoosh!

"Missed the target!"

"..."

Arrows continued to fly and embed themselves in the target, followed by the ongoing calls, until an arrow finally missed the mark, bringing the session to a halt.

Zhao Lun: "A miss? Are you kidding me?"

Zhao Lun, holding the bow, rushed towards the target. He found the arrow that had missed. The arrow was finely crafted, without any damage, suggesting that the issue wasn't with the arrow. He then examined the bow—it was flawless, with no apparent issues.

"Boss, it's been three hours already. It's almost lunchtime. You should take a break," came the voice of Hodar from a nearby earpiece. Before he could finish, he stepped out from behind the earpiece.

"Huh? Three hours? I didn't even realize!" Zhao Lun looked up at the sky. The sunlight was blinding, and the sun was nearly directly overhead. Time had indeed passed quickly.

"Hiss! My arms are sore. No wonder I missed." It was only then that Zhao Lun realized, after so much effort, his arms were fatigued and aching.

"Boss, I recommend using some ointment. It should help ease the discomfort," Hodar suggested.

"Alright, I'll take your advice," Zhao Lun replied, massaging his weary arms.

Having acquired a legendary bow today, Zhao Lun had been thrilled and immediately called Hodar to try it out. The sensation was incredible, one arrow after another, he couldn't stop. He became so immersed that he lost track of time. Three hours of continuous archery, even a superhero couldn't endure that.

Grumble! His stomach growled loudly.

"Uh, I'm hungry. Looks like it's time to eat."

After such intense exertion, as soon as his stomach growled, everything else faded from his mind—the most important thing was food.

Since it was just Zhao Lun and Hodar dining together, the meal was simpler than usual, and it arrived swiftly. They sat at their respective places, and within a minute, the food was served.

"Foie gras, caviar, steak, and honey water. Hmm, not bad."

Zhao Lun had recently grown accustomed to these dishes, and with each bite, they tasted even better.

"Yes, these ingredients are all from our company, and the quality is guaranteed. The chef is Mr. Brian, and the flavor of the food is undoubtedly exquisite," Hodar confirmed as he sliced into his steak. He admired his boss—a genius who didn't stir up trouble, enjoyed life, and always remembered his employees. He treated them fairly, ensuring their lives were stable and never putting them in unnecessary danger. He was quite content with having a boss like Zhao Lun.

Brian was a renowned chef in the local culinary world, not only capable of preparing astonishing dishes but also a great steward of ingredients. His meals were always perfectly tailored to his guests' tastes.

By the time they finished their meal, they were nearly done, and after finishing the honey water, only satisfied murmurs remained.

"What about Maria and the others? Why aren't they home?" After finishing the meal, Zhao Lun suddenly remembered the others weren't there.

"They? According to Monica, they're working on a fantastic script for a movie, and Baro is there overseeing the project and ensuring their safety. Wait, did they not inform the boss about this?" Hodar asked.

"No, they told me. I just didn't get the details. Oh, let me see what they're planning to shoot," Zhao Lun replied, having an idea. He stood up, grabbed a notebook from a coffee table, and sat back down, flipping through it.

At that moment, three lovely maids arrived—one carried away the plates and dishes from the table, another wiped it clean, and the third brought over fruits and coffee.

These three had been selected through several top-tier headhunting agencies, specifically to serve their needs. If nothing unexpected occurred, they would be with them for a long time.

"Ah? This script looks so familiar. Isn't this Beauty Special Forces? Are they planning to film this? Actually, it's a good fit for them," Zhao Lun remarked as he read, becoming more and more familiar with the script. In the end, he realized it was adapted from his own arcade game. Arcade games were currently booming worldwide, and their stories were widely known. If the movie followed the game's plot, it would surely be a hit.

"Let's see what changes they've made. Hmm? They added characters? This is great—it could be expanded into sequels."

Zhao Lun couldn't help but admire the beauty of the women who had so skillfully adapted the story.

"Really?" Hodar took the script that Zhao Lun had finished reading.

"Monica, Nicole, and Angela did the adaptation. They're also the lead actresses, with Maria, Elena, and… Oh! Sandy? How could they let two children participate…" Hodar was concerned about his daughter.

"Hey, Hodar, don't worry. I'm sure Elena will keep an eye on things," Zhao Lun reassured him, surprised by this side of Hodar.

"Boss, it's not that I'm worried. I'm just a bit surprised."

"This is nothing. Once they've had their fun, they'll come back. They're just playing around."

"Alright, but I'll need to contact Baro," Hodar said, contacting his assistant and then turning on the television. "I think remote streaming would be a good idea."

"Good idea," Zhao Lun praised.

At that moment, remote streaming was a challenge for most people, but for Hodar, it was a piece of cake. A quick call, and the team was already set up, ready to deliver the footage in no time. Within minutes, a clear image appeared on the large screen of the living room TV.

The footage showed an indoor scene surrounded by canvases, with the main performers—Nicole, Monica, and Angela—on stage. Maria and Sandy were nearby, playing with Ivy and the others, while Elena watched over them. Around them, a dozen female bodyguards stood, ensuring their safety.

The camera zoomed out, revealing a familiar landmark—Tracy Town.

"See? Everything's fine," Zhao Lun said, setting down the remote and waving his hand.

After two years of development, Tracy Town had become their base of operations, poised to grow into a city. It was now completely under their surveillance—every movement here was under their watchful eyes.

"Yes, boss," Hodar nodded and continued to contact Baro to ensure no strangers came too close.

They had risen so quickly in recent times that they had attracted the attention of numerous corporations, organizations, and even countries. Some greedy individuals were secretly eyeing them, so they had to be extra cautious.

"Alright, I'm going to get a massage. You go ahead and do as you please."

After a shower, Zhao Lun settled in as a competent young woman massaged him, applying ointment to soothe his sore muscles.

"Ada, nice job. Your technique has improved."

The ointment, absorbed through the massage, provided a refreshing chill that eased the soreness of his muscles. Zhao Lun felt incredibly relaxed, almost unable to suppress a contented sigh.

"Boss, I believe it's the ointment that's helping. It seems quite effective."
