Ivan Porsche wondered who would be looking for him when he knows there's pretty much no one he knows would be coming over his apartment.
Ivan guessed that it might be a stranger.
He looked over the peephole and saw a person wearing a dark cloak.
Suspicious.
Ivan is having an internal struggle whether to open the door or not.
[Ding-dong!]
The person on the other side of the door is quite persistent. Ivan slowly turned the doorknob and opened the door.
"Hello? How may I help you?"
"Greetings. I'm a messenger from Nightingale Group. I'm here to deliver an invitation. If you're interested, please take this invitation letter."
The cloaked man handed over a black card to Ivan. Ivan reached out to receive the black card. Suddenly, the man slowly turned into a shadow and vanished right away.
Ivan looked left and right to look for traces of that person but he couldn't find anyone.
Goosebumps spread over his skin and shivers ran down his spine. He hastily closed the door.
He sat down on the sofa and examined the black card.
"We hereby invite you to be part of the Nightingale Group, Radiance City Branch. The next meeting will be held in the underground basement of Radiance City Mall. This black card will take you to the venue. May the Nightingale bless your night."
The card looked exquisitely crafted and it is harder than metal, yet very thin and its edges are not sharp.
Zedric couldn't help but feel a whole bunch of mixed emotions. He has a lot of questions going on in his mind.
Why did he receive an invitation from the Nightingale Group? How did they know about him? To what extent do they know about him? After all, Nightingale Group is an intelligence agency. What Ivan is the most scared of would be them knowing about his Soul Ability. He couldn't help but feel anxious.
He went back to his PC and decided to order right away. He has no time to hesitate. As he browsed through the website of Creo Beast Park, he saw a magical beast that draw his attention. It's worth 11,000 Han Dollars.

Ivan decided that this would be it. He clicked the order button and payed through online banking.

The Creo Beast Park is a reputable business so Ivan feels reassured that his order will arrive five hours later.
Now that he finished his order, his remaining money will probably help him last for a week or two. It seems like he has to consider the offer of Nightingale Group. Although this intelligence agency sounds a bit sketchy, he doesn't have much of a choice. Beggars can't be choosers. He has to look on the brighter side of things.
On the other hand, instead of looking at it as danger, he can think of it as an opportunity. An opportunity for a job. Since they're the one inviting him, Ivan felt like there are benefits to be had in joining.
Five hours passed in a blink of an eye.
[Ding-dong!]
Ivan went to the door and opened it. The delivery guy is holding a box.
"Delivery from Creo Beast Park! Are you Mr. Ivan Porsche?"
"Yes, it is me."
"This is a disposable storage box. Your order is inside. Please sign this."
The delivery guy handed a piece of paper and a pen. Ivan signed it and received the box.
"Thank you."
The deliver guy left.
Ivan closed the door. He went to the living room and placed the box in the middle. This disposable storage box is a one-time use item. Once Ivan opened the box, it can't be used again.
Ivan proceeded to open the box.
A five ft tall Polar Bear emerged from the box. On its neck is a pet collar, draining the Polar Bear of it's strength and thus it couldn't resist or attack anyone at this state.
Without hesitation, Ivan activated his Soul Ability.
Mystical symbols glowed around Ivan and the Polar Bear, spinning around them until they converged on the Polar Bear's body.

Ivan looked at the Polar Bear. The more he looked at it, the more satisfied he feels.
Ivan reached out and clicked a button on the pet collar on the Polar Bear's neck. The pet collar broke open. The Polar Bear could now move around.
Suddenly, the Polar Bear knelt in front of Ivan.
"Master, please give this Apostle a name."
Ivan was dumbfounded.
"You can talk?"
"Yes master."
The Polar Bear looked like an obedient puppy wagging its tail.
Ivan, although a bit skeptical, tried hard to think of a name.
"Your name shall be Winter."
"Thank you, master."
The Polar Bear stood on all fours. It is five feet tall when standing on four legs and nine feet tall when standing upright.
"Winter, what is your typical meal? I'll order it online."
"Any kind of meat will do, master."
"Okay."
Ivan picked his phone and used his remaining money to order meat.
An hour later, the order arrived.
"Winter, would you like the meat raw or cooked?"
"I prefer cooked meat, Master."
"Okay, I'll cook first."
Ivan proceeded to cook the meat.
After cooking, Ivan placed the dish on a big bowl and gave it to Winter.
Ivan decided to eat with Winter so he also got a dish for himself and ate.
Winter is quite a fast eater. The meat disappeared faster than Ivan expected. Ivan also finished eating. He cleaned the eating utensils.
"Winter, if you feel bored, you can watch TV."
"Yes master. I'd like to watch TV."
Ivan turned on the TV and choose a channel where magical beasts battle each other.
"You can watch this and try to learn from it."
"Yes, master."
