Synopsis
In a world where magic is both feared and coveted, Evelyn stands out not just for her burgeoning powers but for her triple-threat of quirks: wings of fire, a fierce bright glow of magma in her veins, and a mana flow that could light up a city. Branded a menace, she must prove her worth to the Templars or face a fate worse than death: Tranquility. But when the First Enchanter nudges her toward the path of the Knight-Enchanter, Evelyn senses destiny calling. From Ostwick to Kinloch Tower, she hones her skills under a renowned master, all while caught in a dance with Cullen, a Templar Sentinel sworn to watch over her. In a world where enemies are made of allies and love simmers beneath duty, this is more than Evelyn's tale-it's the legend of the Phoenix, forged in fire and friendship, and a love that defies all odds. Warning: Sexual content, violence, and mature themes. Co-authored by @IrinaPalmova Some characters and the world of Thedas belong to Bioware.

Chapter 1 - Author's Note

Hello reader!I'm so excited to share the origin story of my Female Inquisitor, Evelyn, from my work, When The Phoenix Flies. I wanted to write a story about how she came to be a Knight-Enchanter, and it turned into a star-crossed lover romance. Moreover, my good friend Palmo1886 then got involved, adding her OC Inquisitor, Miriam, from her work, Truth is born of a furnace of doubt. From there it evolved into an epic tale of how these young people's lives were forever changed by magic and their experiences through the timeline of the Dragon Age series. You do not need to have read When The Phoenix Flies to enjoy this story. The majority of this story takes place in the Circle of Magi - both Ostwick and Kinloch. Cullen's backstory is also featured heavily in this work as well though it is our version of it. The timeline will progress through all three DA games, so get ready for the long hull! This is a labor of love and our own crazy version of "storytelling fun." It has been a pleasure to collaborate on this being two very different types of writers!Any warnings will be posted in the notes before the chapters, and if you've read my other works, you know that I make the sexual content easy to skip if you're not into that. If you are, then you get an extra treat because I cannot write smut unless it adds to the plot (Sorry, not sorry). We have no posting schedule as of now, as we both have other projects in the works, however, we are both committed writers and will see it through to the end.We love to hear feedback and your honest thoughts, so don't hold back!Happy reading!Munklington & Palmo1886
