It was a cold day but the sun was shining brightly. One of its rays peeking through a window into a hospital room, outside in the hallway sat two of the guys.
Adrean sat with his arms hung between his legs, his face clearly indicating that he was tired and sleep deprived.
Next to him his brother Allen looking through a crack in the door across him into a room.
Inside the room a patient surround by doctor and nurses setting up IV's and injection as the nurse moved away from the bed side, we could see the patient in the room was none other than Jay looking peaceful a sleep.
As a doctor came out of the room Adrean jumped out of his chair and approached the doctor.
"Doctor is he going to be ok" Adrean said with a hope in his heart.
"he is going to be fine but needs to be in the hospital for a few days. I would like to know where his guardian are as I wish to have a chat with them" said the doctor with a authoritative but polite voice.
Allen and Adrean were in a tough spot as they had not informed his family about the incident and didn't know what to say.
"excuse me sir " a voice came from behind the doctor, it was Aran he told the doctor that his parents were out of town and his sister was coming as soon as possible.
This was obviously a lie as Jay didn't have a sister but the doctor took the bate and told them to inform her to pay the bill and to come see him.
When the doctor and nurses went away the guys went in to see their friend.
He still unconscious but out of danger this atleast gave them a bit of relief, as they were just about to sit down a voice came from the door.
"How is he" It was a girl in the early twenty's she wore a black hooded jacket and blue jeans as she approached the bed she seemed out of breath as tho she was in a huury to get there.
"The Doc said he would be ok" Aran said this while he took a sigh of relief .
At that moment Adrean asked Aran why she was here and does she know about Mark.
When she heard Marks name she caught Aran by his collar and lifted him to his feet
"Aran what are you hiding from me huh, tell me how is Mark involved in this!!" As she said this her voice started getting louder.
"please keep it down this is a hospital there are other patents here" said a nurse from the door way.
As Allen apologized to the nurse and told the girl to calmdown an let go of Aran.
As she was letting go of Aran she shifted her attention to Adrean who was still sitting on the chair without saying anything.
"Adrean explain to me what the hell is going on" She said with a aggressive tone.
She was only told to come to the hospital as Jay was piss drunk and fell unconscious .
"Sam please don't be alarmed from what Im about to tell you" Adrean looked at her/Sam with a eyes filled with guilt.
Sam sat down. Look of nervousness clearly shown on her face her hands holding the edge of her jacket tightly.
As Adrean told her the story about the past few days excluding the part at the monastery as they themself didn't know what to make of it.
When he got to the part about how they found Jay and Mark tears started flowing down Sam face with her having a hard time breathing.
This was the first time they had seen Sam vulnerable since the first day they met she was a very mentally and physically strong women, she was the type who could stand shoulder to shoulder with them but today she looked closer to a girl who had lost her way.
When she got a hold of herself as much as she could her body still shaking from the news.
She looked around the room, the guys instantly knowing what she was about to say the thing no one wanted to say out loud. "Where is Mark is he in another room or something " She ask with a fearful voice.
The moment the guys had dreaded came no one said anything, the silence that filled the room was loud. She knew that something was not but still she wanted to know just as she was about to ask about Mark.
"He is in critical care, he is in coma They say he might have brain damage" Jay said this while still laying on the bed with tears rolling down the sides of his face.
