Roan looked at Dove not sure what he should say next before he blinked and said, "B- but you shouldn't have slept with someone else, Dove!" And at this Roan yelled so loud that it almost hurt his throat. Exactly! No matter what she said, she couldn't counter on this. Dove had indeed done wrong here. Roan believed that.
In fact, hearing that the disastrous expression on Cora Davis, Mr Davis, Nora, Freya Davis, and her son, everyone's dumbfolded expressions revived. There were expecting Dove to have no counter attack to that. After all, what could she say? Doesn't she have any shame after doing something like that? They wanted to see where does that cocky attitude of her goes now.
But what she did next wasn't something they did not expect at all. When Roan said that, she chuckled before adjusting her scarf, and then walked towards the couches, and sat down before placing one leg on top of the other. She took an apple from the basket that was on the table in front of them and took a bite. She was already starving and tired from everything that was happening from the morning. She would just eat and keep her calm now. What was the need of hypertension?
The people in front of her were left speechless. They looked at Dove with narrowed eyes, and wondered why was she behaving like this today? Why was she so unbothered about everything today, even after it was clear as day that what she did was wrong. But in stead she was showing as if she was proud about it.
Dove chewed as she stared at everyone of them before her eyes fell on her grandpa, who was looking at her with stern eyes, and a small frown. Looking at him, her eyes softened, and she smiled at him, and said, "Grandpa, it is nothing too serious. Why don't you too sit down. If the rest of them wants to stand up, let them do that. You have to look after your aging bones, right?"
Elder Sterling pressed his lips together and huffed a little, before sitting down on the couch next to Dove, before continuing to look at accessingly. After Dove gulped the food, he looked at them satisfyingly and she said, "So, what did you ask? How could I sleep with someone else? Hm… perhaps how everyone sleeps?"
And when she said that, she chuckled as their faces all darkened in fury. And before anyone could say anything else, Dove continued again, "Well, if I like someone, do you expect me to sleep with someone else? And what remains was that I am still engaged to Roan? Well, if Roan Davis doesn't mind sleeping around with others while he is engaged to her, why would I lack behind?"
And just when she said that it took them all a whole minute to process what she said. Roan's eyes had gone wide like sausages as he stared at Dove. It was then that Cara Davis yelled, "Dove Sterling! Watch your mouth! What are you speaking about my son?! Just because you are the shameless one, that doesn't mean that you would out go around blaming such things on my son!" Mrs Davis yelled.
Dove looked at them with a smirk on her face, as she had already expected this reaction from them. But her eyes were focused on Roan, who looked back at her in disbelief, probably wondering how does she now about it. And that made Dove crack up. She kept her eyes on his face before she chuckled and said, "What happen Roan? Your mother says that you can never do something like that. To them, you are very 'loyal' to your fiancé. If that is true, why does it look as if you lost all the colours from your face?"
