Chereads / Hex Spectre / Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

"Is he a Zombie?!"

The Archangel who is surprised but not scared about what he saw asked on the group, who also shared the same reaction with him.

This is the very first time that a hunter is capable of instantly recovering a horrible injury like what they inflicted on the masked human.

Conventionally, even the most powerful S-rank healers cannot cast such a powerful healing ability. It is much worse for other high-ranking hunters whose classes are not specialized for recovery and tanking. The Saintess' magical ability combined with her outstanding Mana control made her attacks capable of one-shotting their opponents.

Merlin assessed that an X-rank healer may be capable of such feat but there is an issue regarding this theory. There are currently no such individual in the Philippines or even in the world that possess godly healing skills. After all, X-class hunters are extremely rare occurrences.

By the standards of the Association, the rarity of five S-rank hunters awakening is equivalent to that of a thousand A-rank hunters. But for an X-rank, a chance of appearing is considered to be equivalent of 100 S-ranks. In other words, they are miracles that are as scarce as a water droplet in a dessert.

This could only mean one thing-- The man that they are facing right now is undoubtedly an X-rank healer. That's the most acceptable theory Merlin could come up yet once again, there is a problem with this.

Remembering how he used unknown spells, Merlin thought that he is a mage but wondered, why or how is he capable of a healing spell? Normally, offensive-type mages are not capable of healing skills since their mana are concentrated completely on offense rather than defense.

Throughout the years of being a mage-type hunter, Merlin knew that for defensive-type mages, mana are concentrated within their body while those who are specialized in dealing damage has frequently shown their mana outside of their body.

Merlin possesses a skill that allows him to assess mana. Because of this, he was able to save their group many times, the most recent is when he found a shortcut to the boss' lair in the Black Hex by just sensing the boss Outsider's mana.

Using this particular skill, he could see the mana proportions in an enemy's body, allowing him to know their weaknesses and attack efficiently. However, what he saw on the mysterious man's body, shocked him to the core.

"His mana is perfectly divided on all parts on his body! Everyone, retreat! We have no chance of defeating this guy!"

But Merlin's call for warning was put in vain when White Wolf, known for his impatience and mindlessness, drew his daggers and attacked the mysterious hunter in the fastest way possible.

"Blood Wolf-- Full Moon!"

He slashed many times on the enemy. Everyone, clearly saw that the hunter is bleeding profusely on his vital parts after White Wolf's deadly attack yet once again, his injuries were automatically recovered. It's as if he is a Vampire.

"My goodness! How can we defeat such guy!," the Spearhead uttered in frustration.

"Merlin might be right, we should leave this place!"

"How can we leave this place if there is a barrier enclosing everyone?"

"There is only a way!"

Everyone glanced at the Saintess, waiting for her orders.

"We must defeat that guy, even if it means killing him in the process! Everyone, prepare for an assault!"

White Wolf, who is celebrating prematurely was suddenly smashed on the ground by a hand wearing a familiar gauntlet, causing him to be knocked unconscious.

When they saw the man holding White Wolf's wounded body, they freaked out at the thoughts of the masked guy totally ending his life.

"Damn it! I cannot read his movements!," the Saintess became too wary as Mike

In response to the attack, Nicholas, nicknamed Spearhead and Andros, the Archangel drew their weapons and teamed up to attack the mysterious hunter who is marveling at the sight of his gauntlet. He seems to be too distracted at the weapon.

"Stop staring at that filthy gauntlet, you murderous bastard!"

Mike, only smirked.

***

"Sir, we are picking up a huge amount of mana in an abandoned factory!"

A hunter who's working for the association was notified by one of his subordinates about the sudden burst of mana that seems to be coming from an old and abandoned building, just meters away from their location.

"How much mana did you detected?," he asked his subordinate.

"We are not sure about the exact amount since this machine apparently cannot gauge the number of energy!," the subordinate told him.

"Damn it!"

The hunter became anxious at the thought of a monster breach. For him, such power could not be generated unless a huge number of monsters has escaped from within a Hex.

"Alert all available units near the vicinity of the source, we might have a possible breach of outsiders from an unidentified Hex!," he instructed his men.

'If this happened to be a breach similar to the Black Hex incident, the whole province of Bulacan might be in danger!'

He could imagine in his mind the scene of his home-province being decimated by a horde of monsters.

'I cannot allow that!,' he put on his armor and helmet and proceeded to join the other hunters who are struggling to ready themselves for a possible confrontation.

"S-sir!," one of his men called him from the corner where they are currently monitoring the source of mana outburst.

"Why?," his voice is full of agitation, a sign that he is freaking out about what's happening.

"Aren't those hunters? Those body shapes seemed to be more like humans' rather than outsiders'!," the subordinate told him.

"Shit!"

***

"Fiery Swordsmanship-- Wrath!"

"Gift of Odin- Gungnir!"

The relentless attacks of the two powerful hunters have dealt a considerable amount of damage to Mike, who is on the defensive, ever since they ganged up their assaults on him.

"Triple Slash!," Mike used one of the skills of Inferno.

"Ack!"

The two attackers were caught on guard by Mike's sudden and unpredictable attack. But still, they firmed themselves up and tried counter-attacking with their powerful skills.

Andros, in particular, was brimming with anger as this hunter had hurt one of their allies and friends.

"I'll make sure to kill you, Bastard!"

Andros began amassing a large energy on his two hands while shouting for the other templars to protect themselves from the possible collision of energy.

While they were still preparing for another attack, Mike casted a spell, aiming to destroy them in seconds.

"Moon Magic-- Ring of Fire!"

A large circular ring made out of pure mana slashed at them with a horrifying precision. Another damage has been made which boosted Mike's moral.

"Damn it! Get back here you two! Defend me while I'm preparing for my spell!," the Saintess commanded them.

They nodded in agreement and immediately came to guard the Saintess' flank while she is busy casting the spell. Meanwhile, Merlin cannot move from his position, seeing the absurdity of the situation.

His reason for being paralyzed? The ability of the hunter to engage in a hand-to-hand combat.

'The way he used that Gauntlet to attack the two of our best close-range fighters is scary! I thought he was a mage!'

The problem is now starting to accumulate for the Saintess and the Templars as they couldn't find a single weakness to the hunter that they were facing.

Mike, on the other hand, is starting to ran out of mana. Without mana, he wouldn't be able to cast powerful spells that he could use againts his opponents, 'I must finish this battle quickly before my mana rans out!'

Mike charged towards the position where the Saintess, Archangel, and Spearhead is in. He prepared to finish them off using the Inferno, aiming for their vital organs. However, before he could even near them a powerful water wave hits him abruptly, causing him to meet with the attack.

"I'm not going to allow you to reach this line!," the Merlin drew an imaginary line on the ground using his staff, threatening the mysterious hunter that if he did, he'd be dead.

For Mike, the thing that worries him is not Merlin himself but rather the massive figure behind him. It is made out of water but it's attacks are powerful enough to stop him from advancing to the Saintess.

"Who's that seaweed-haired guy behind you, huh? Is he your chick?," Mike insulted Merlin.

"He?," Merlin chuckled, "This is my water elemental named, Nymph. She is a woman, not a 'he', for your information!"

"Really? I'm quite intrigued! It is surprising that I'm more interested in your seaweed pet than you, long hat!," he raised his middle finger to his enemy.

"You'll regret belittling me!," Merlin boasts in front of him.

"You know...,"Mike smiled calmly, "If there is one thing that every humans could never escape from are their nightmares!"

Merlin frowned at the sudden change in the hunter's thought, "What do you mean?"

"I wonder what your past enemies could offer to me!," he said with a wide grin on his face.

"What?," Merlin made a confused expression, not understanding what does the hunter is pointing out.

It's not just Merlin, all of the Templars and Tesa are just as confused as him. Everything that the hunter in front of them says doesn't add up to one another. They knew that he is hinting at something that only he knew.

"Have you found the reason why I bought these bodies to you instead of just abandoning them on the river?," an ominous energy have filled both of Mike's hands as he is preparing for a powerful spell.

"W-why?," Spearhead brought the awkward silence to an end.

"It's because I need their flesh for this!," he laughed creepily, indicating that he had just done something without their knowledge.

Mike raised both of his hands containing an ominous energy to the sky. From it, a large figure has descended that brought fears to his enemies below.

"I like the masterpiece that your minds have created! Haha!"

Revenge has been the main driver of Mike's resolve and it continues up to this point. Remembering their words in the Black Hex has somewhat struck his heart.

"Sacrifice yourself to my new creation!," he shouted while the figure slowly descended from above.

What Mike did will surely be remembered by the Saintess and her Templars in the span of their lifetime-- That is... if they were going to survive this battle...

On the other hand, Merlin amplified the strength and power of his elemental summon in order to parry the powerful opponent that they were about to face.

"Brace yourself, Nymph! This enemy will not be an easy thing!," he whispered to Nymph.

After that, he communicated with the group, "Tesa! How long does it take for your spell to work again?.

"O-one more minute!," it's clear that what they witnessed had scared the shit out of them.

"I'll buy time, you two would protect her while she cast the spell!," he told to Andros and Nicholas. In response, the two nodded to him.

He then left and casted a floating spell on himself, ready to attack Mike without any fear. For him, the masked hunter is still a psychopathic villain who's delighting in killing weaker beings

.

What he don't know is that behind the mask, lies the man who seeks his revenge after they chose to abandoned him in the Hex.

'I don't have enough mana to even last for a minute, but I'll still try to make sure that he would not be able to reach the Saintess!'

***

*The spell "Mirroring" was casted, processing the target's mind to search and replicate arch nemesis*

*Replication was successful, the servant "Trace Antonio" is currently being created using the flesh of surrounding humans*

As soon as the servant that he created using his more advanced version of "Mirroring" materialized, a system popped out on Mike's eyes, suggesting him to do something.

Seeing the powerful Merlin, ready to attack him alongside his amplified elemental, Nymph, Mike couldn't help but feel a slight nervousness! He used too much mana summoning Merlin's arch nemesis.

Now that his next opponent is a magic-based hunter, he knew that he must be extra careful from now on since one wrong move could lead to a total demise!

"Hey, floating bastard!," he called Merlin, "You're too slow to levitate!"

He casted a powerful fireball towards Merlin which was easily blocked by his Water elemental.

'That elemental is not something that I should be messing with! In fact, I still believe that I shouldn't even be messing with these powerful jerks in the first place!'

Mike only realized now the mess that he created including, his provocative actions that clearly made the Saintess and her Templars, angry.

'Can't believe how awesome I feel right now! Imagine it, a G-rank hunter defeating five A-rankers! That would surely become a hot topic!'

"Hey, masked bastard! Would you at least tell me why you're doing all of this?," Merlin shouted at him.

"Let's just say, you annoyed me to the point that you made my murderous feeling hungry!"

"Damn you, how could you just take away a life as easily as that?"

Suddenly, the Merlin's tone changed from angry to being pitiful.

'Where the hell is this guy's getting at?'

Mike could only wonder about what Merlin is talking about.

'Wait a minute! Is he trying to sway my emotions?'

"Have you not considered that they might be working just for their family, you murderous moron?!"

Mike was taken aback by his words. Could it be true that he is just taking life for fun? Bullshit! He is here for revenge!

'So that's what he been trying to do? Tap into my emotional self, huh?'

"I know hunters like you! You are that guy who kills for fun!"

For Mike, the answer is no. Is he here to stomped on other people's lives? Absolutely not! In the first place, his anger would not reached at this level if they did just left him alone and did not ordered for his kidnapping.

In his mind, the world is not fair for everyone. If you let someone take the better of you, you will lose everything. For years ever since he became a hunter, he always tried to be a bigger person despite everyone looking down on him. Sacrifices are made out of compassion and selflessness but what if those values turned into something that everyone could only take advantage of? What would happen to the person who sacrificed himself? He would surely be disposed forever!

That's right, his sacrifice is not meant for selfish people! If there is anything for arrogant bastards like them to be deserving of is the taste of revenge and defeat.

"And how surprisingly that you guys think you are the heroes again this time, huh?"

Hearing those words coming from the mysterious hunter struck them down to their heart.

"W-what d-do you mean by t-that?," Merlin asked, worried about the next words of the hunter.

"What do I mean, huh? What do you think? How many times have you guys sacrificed a life just for you to get away with it?"

Everyone is silent. They knew that they did sacrificed a lot of lives for their own benefits. In the first place, if not because of those lives, they would not have escaped many life or death situations.

Sacrifice is necessary for someone to progress more, that's what they believe in even up until now that someone had said to their faces.

"Sacrifices are meant for greater things, they should not be used for lowlifes bastards!," Merlin uttered.

Mike was shocked to hear those words coming from the people who presented themselves as "morally upright". Taunting this people would be useless.

"I see..."

Mike's expression darkened before he made a move.

*You activated the skill "Ungodly Incantation", intelligence stat will temporarily increase by 5%*

*You gained 500 mana points!*

"Ungodly Incantation, Northern Wind..."

Mike's opponents were thwarted by a powerful typhoon-like wind. They were not expecting an attack so sudden.

"Fuck! Nephtys, cast your shield!," the Saintess commanded her shield templar.

"Yes, I will! Eye of Horus!"

After Nephtys casted her most powerful magical shield, only then they did stopped flying, causing the Saintess to be able to resume her casting.

"I wonder how's Merlin doi-"

Spearhead was not able to finish his sentence when he saw Merlin advancing with his powerful spells.

"I wish for your success, Brother Merlin!"

On the other hand, Mike is extremely surprised to see them parry one of his powerful skills using a shield.

It didn't take long before Mike saw Merlin casted a huge fireball towards him.

"Ungodly Incantation, Salaknib!"

The fireball was nullified as soon as it hit Mike.

"Nymph, attack him!"

It didn't take long before the Nymph created a huge water spout to devour Mike from his place.

"Whoosh!"

Rapidly circulating, the Water spout had generated a powerful energy that devours everything on its path, including Mike who's struggling to keep himself in place.

Without waiting for any command, Mike's newly created servant attacked the Nymph who created the Spell. For the creature, there's nothing more action violating than a being who dares to hurt his master.

"Arghh!," He slashed the Nymph in half only for it to generate its lost body parts because of Merlin's mana.

"I hope you don't think that this elemental is not immortal, Masked Bastard!," He told him and then instructed the Nymph to destroy the arch nemesis.

To his surprise, Merlin saw how the arch nemesis skillfully parry each of the Nymph's attacks with ease.

"Right, this thing bore a resemblance to our Guildmaster!," Merlin's worries turned sky-high as he cannot think of a way to put the monster out of the game.

"You present yourself as a loyal servant of your Guildmaster, yet you hold a tremendous amount of grudge and fear against him! How pretentious!," Mike then attacked Merlin with one of his own spells.

"Shut up!," Merlin couldn't refute such an irrefutable fact, "I'll make sure to crush your skull with my might!,"

"I would love to see you try!," Mike summoned from nothingness, a sword and shield who looked vaguely familiar to Merlin.

"T-that is.... Don't tell me, y-you're?," Merlin was suddenly unable to move from his own place.

Could it be Mike Sandoval who killed the boss? But it's impossible! He's the weakest hunter that he met. He couldn't even last an hour against a giant werewolf yet he can defeat an opponent that they couldn't even defeat with their combine powers? Impossible! As far as he knew, they chose to sacrifice his life to escape

"I see, you might have heard the story about our encounter with the Boss of the Black Hex that's why you chose to make a sword that looked so similar with the one it possessed! Hahaha! To think that you'd do these things just to get our attention is just plainly stupid and pathetic!," Merlin found the most right explanation for the weapons.

"if you say so...," Mike smirked and stabbed his sword unto Merlin, who immediately conjured a barrier for himself.

Even so, he is still thwarted by the impact force to the nearest wall.

"Kirikiri!," Merlin vomited a tremedous amount of blood as the tip of the sword bypassed his defenses, "You damn bastard!"

"How lovely to hear that humbling sound from an arrogant bastard like you!"

Nevertheless, Merlin casted a magical spell.

"Space Gap!," he sent Mike flying away from him. Fortunately, Mike is wearing a powerful clothing or else he might be suffering now from fractured bones.

"Godly Swordsmanship-- Amputate!"

Mike swiftly returned back to the location of Merlin and attempted to slashed one his opponent's arms.

"Woosh!," two daggers blocked his powerful swords.

"Impossible!," Mike could not believe what he is witnessing right now but he remained calm and compose, "Didn't I knocked you unconscious?"

"That would be possible if it wasn't for the Saintess' healing skill, dumbass!," The now recovered White Wolf attacked Mike with an overwhelming speed which Mike narrowly escaped.

"Die, you dumbass!," White wolf immediately followed with another attack.

"Twin Howls!," a double strike that successfully penetrated both of Mike's arms.

*You have been damaged, activating the skill "Recuperate"*

*You recovered your injuries*

Mike immediately recovered from his injuries and decided it's time for a counter-attack.

*Godly Swordsmanship-- Gut!*

He aims to disembowel the enemy again using one of his most powerful attacks but once again, White Wolf, being an assassin-type hunter, swiftly evaded it and took the chance to stab him in the neck which caused an enormous amount of health points.

*You suffered a critical damage*

*5 points were deducted from your HP*

*Activating the skill, "Recuperate"!*

*You have recovered!*

Mike, now wary about the situation is starting to lose confidence.

"Both of my MP and HP are starting to wear down, I have to finish this battle as soon as possible!"

He then checked his inventory to see what items can help him on this battle.

"Oh, I found it!"

***

"What the hell is that?"

An expression of astonishment painted the faces of the emergency team's men which were sent by the Association, as soon as they saw a huge dome enveloping a large space of the abandoned factory.

"What are the updates?," the leader of the team, the hunter who assembled the team, asked one of his men.

"It looks like there is an ongoing battle happening inside!"

"Battle? Then who the fuck made that huge black dome? That couldn't possibly be a work of a human hunter isn't it?," he sarcastically told the subordinate.

"I know sir! Isn't this quite intriguing? Even the S-rank hunters couldn't possibly sustain this much power for a long time!," the subordinate answered with agreeance.

"Do you think we could destroy it?," the leader sound hopeful that the answer would be Yes.

"No sir!"

An answer that he anticipated but doesn't want to hear.

"Then how could we stop this fucker?"

Anger is evident with the leader's voice. For him, it is extremely necessary to stop the possible threat of mass destruction.

"We could at least possibly infiltrate it and try to stop it from within!"

"How long would that take to accomplish?"

"One hour sir!"

"Fuck!"

"We do not have any other options. Trying to destroy it would be pointless as there's no single individual in our team, except you Sir, are even A-rank!"

"How do we destroy this thing?"

"Magic sir, we must overload this giant cupcake with a hefty amount of magical energy!"

"Call all of our mages then! We could not be just sitting here, doing nothing!"

"I've already done it!"

The subordinate is a very fast worker as not only did he analyze the situation inside the dome, he also predicted the only way to stop it.

"Quick! We must destroy that thing despite the possibility of damages in the nearest properties!"

But before they could even start it, a powerful voice shook the surrounding air.

"I'm afraid you would not do that!"

The leader glanced at the source of that voice when he saw the person who uttered that phrase, he was dumbfounded!

"Mister Trace Antonio, what are you doing here?," the leader of the emergency team asked to the Sarimbal Guild Master in a very courteous manner.

Trace Antonio only raised his left eyebrow to his question, implying that he doesn't give even a single point of fuck to the one who's asking.

"This place is our guild's property! No individuals are allowed to enter it without asking me personally!," he uttered with power and authority.

"B-but s-sir, there is a possibility of people being trapped inside! if we will not take an action, then perhaps they would d-"

"I SAID THAT THERE IS NO ENTERING OF ANYBODY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION RIGHT?"

The loud voice of the Guild Master caught the leader of the team off guard. It's really scary.

"Now...," he gripped his fist tightly and coated it with his own aura, "If you don't mind, try leaving this place right now, before I smashed you into pieces!"

"But sir pleas-"

"SHUT UP!," he punched the leader on his stomach which caused the latter to release some blood on his mouth.

For the leader, there is nothing more humiliating than the fact that he was single-handedly defeated him without any respect showing.

After that, Trace proceeded to destroy the dome using his full power but before he could even do that, he felt a powerful punch on the back of his head which tickled him but at the same time, angered him so much.

"I don't care about your position as a Guild Master but as a representative of the association, I would ask you to leave this place!," it was the leader who bravely spoke to Trace despite the fact that their is a huge possibility of him not surviving the confrontation.

This is also what everyone around them feels. How brave of their leader to stand up to a powerful Guild Master!

"Die!," Trace Antonio immediately tried to give him an uppercut but this time, a hand deliberately nullified the force of his aura.

Everyone, including Trace, immediately knew who is the hunter that could do such a thing.

"Control your power, my dear Trace...," a man wearing his usual suit carefully put down Trace Antonio's fist.

He then looked him straight in the eye and spoke coldly, "The association classified this place as highly-dangerous, giving us an excuse to have a temporary absolute power over this territory of yours."

"And who are you to say that thing to me?"

"It seems like our dear Trace here have been too obsessed with his power that his brain ability became rusty! Haha!"

"What the hell are you trying to say?"

"You're an idiot!"

For everyone, seeing such a face who rarely show up, reveal itself, means that what they are facing right now might be very serious that it forced even the head of the North Luzon's division to take action.

The leader, in particular, stared in awe as one of the country's most powerful official in the association showed himself.

"Twin Howl!"

While White Wolf is trying to tie down Mike in a close-range battle, Merlin commanded Nymph to destroy the arch nemesis.

"Unleash your wrath upon that hideous creature!"

In response, Nymph made her hands into powerful sharp whips that attacks the arch nemesis endlessly.

As a response, the monster created by Mike became more agile and faster, determined to eradicate the Nymph using its fist.

"Tiger Fist!"

Using just his fists, the arch nemesis swiftly parried Nymph's attacks and even amputated her two arms which only made the latter angrier.

"Do you think your tricks will work against us? You must be kidding!," White Wolf relentlessly slashed Mike's defenses, aiming to destroy his armor.

"Ten Thousand Fangs!"

White Wolf unleashed a barrage of attacks that could be liken to a thousands of missiles being fired off.

But Mike, with his keen mind, was able to calculate the battle on his favor just as the daggers were about to hit him again. His eye suddenly glow into a sparkling silver color, reflecting the Moon's light

"White Wolf are you okay there?," Merlin asked the assassin as he saw frustrations stockpile on his face.

"Is this guy's immortal? He is just healing his injuries!," He angrily told them.

"Just keep on hitting him! I'm sure he'll tire out his own mana!," Merlin is busy fighting the arch nemesis alongside Nymph.

White Wolf stopped for a moment and glanced at the mysterious hunter's standing state. He felt weirded out just by looking at the man who suddenly stopped countering their attacks, "Something's wrong..."

When he looked closer at the mask, he found the hunter's eyes open and glowing red. When he tried to remove it a hand grabbed his wrist.

"Hands off, dumb butcher!"

He used the inferno's skill, Triple slash, to deal a devastating blow to White Wolf who were caught off guard.

"I saw your weakness, bitch!," he chased the injured assassin while repeatedly slashing his back whenever he became closer.

"Ack!"

The chase came to an end when White Wolf, unable to keep up his speed due to blood lost was not able to overcome the fatigue and fell down on the groud.

"Nomer, no!," Merlin tried to save White Wolf from falling using a bubble spell but he was interrupted by the arch nemesis' sword attack which surprisingly bypassed Nymph's relentless resistance.

"Damn it!"

Merlin then casted multiple fireballs all over the surroundings, aiming to attack both the mysterious hunter and the arch nemesis.

He wondered how a powerful Mage-class hunter is so skilled in wielding a sword. A hunter is supposedly only good in one specialty yet what he saw on this day defied all logic that he knew.

"How could a hunter be so powerful?," He thought before falling on the ground as well because his mana became fully depleted.

On the other side, Mike approached the two unconscious body of the hunters lying next to each other.

The fight was never an easy deal for him. If it wasn't because of the belt's overpowered abilities, he may be the one to fall down in the battle.

Furthermore, the system information that he got about White Wolf is what made him the victor on the battle.

Just a moment ago while White Wolf is trying to remove his mask...

"His abilities are scary!

Compare to Mike, Nomer aka White Wolf had already unlocked more than one class-specialized skill compared to Mike who's yet to master his specialized, Astra Manifestation.

If talking about mastery, White Wolf far surpasses his abilities and experience in battle. It's a good thing that he didn't use most of his skills.

Although, White Wolf is far more skilled compared to Mike. What made the Spectre win the battle is his swift decision-making! When he saw that his strength stat is much higher than Nomer's, he decided to switch his weapons from the sword to the Inferno, who can channel his fist's strength compared to the former.

The ability of Mike to use the current situation to his advantage is also creative as he took advantage of White Wolf's defenseless state when he tried to remove the mask off of him.

White Wolf's defeat gave way to Merlin's downfall also as he became too distracted and overwhelmed at the outcome of the battle, causing him to deplete all of his mana.

Now, as he Mike tried to touch the two bodies, a powerful energy beam accompanied by thousands or possibly millions of blades made out of divine energy penetrated Mike's chest causing him to cough-up blood.

Then while he is shocked, he saw the Saintess and the remaining Templars descending from the ground.

As Tesa approached the severely wounded Mike, an evil smile arose from her lips.

"Thanks to their sacrifices, you lost! Haha!"

But to her surprise, the yet to be revealed hunter matched her laugh with his own. To her horror, she saw the wound starting to recover again.

"Everyone, use your most powerful attacks to kill him!"
