Chapter 9 - Departure

[ Words :- 1532]

The sun was shining brightly in the Senju clan compound, casting a warm glow over the bustling scene. Tatsuya, a two-year-old ball of energy, was excitedly chattering to his mother, Aina, as they prepared for their departure to the Uzumaki clan grounds. Aina was carefully packing a small bag, making sure to include all the essentials for their journey.

Just as they were about to finish up, a tiny figure appeared at the entrance of the compound, accompanied by her mother. Toka Seju, a three-year-old friend of Tatsuya's, looked up at him with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Tatsuya, don't go!" Toka exclaimed, her small voice trembling. "I'll miss you!"

Tatsuya's face fell as he looked at his friend, concern etched on his features. He didn't want Toka to be sad. She was his first friend in this world. He still remembered that scene well.

About 2 weeks ago , the sun was about to set, his brothers had been training continuously for a while and he was roaming around near the playgrounds made for clan kids, feeling bored.

While he was taking in the breathtaking, viewing children of his age or older smiling and playing around,He saw a little girl who was about the same age as him near a particular target practicing area, usually reserved for people to practice their kunai Or shuriken throwing technique.

She could be seen looking around and trying to throw small pebbles at a certain target although ,she wasn't able to exert enough strength to get them to touch it.

Tatsuya walked towards her , taking small steps, while continuing to stare at the spectacle of her throwing stones.

" Ne- chan, why are you throwing stones and not playing with others? " I asked her from behind mustering up the cutest voice I could ever pronounce.

Turning around she gazed on me, looking at her one could definitely say she was the epitome of cuteness.... But i myself am very cute... Being a narcissistic as always ,I tried my best to ignore her deep gaze which had locked on to me.

Pov :- Senju Toka

The sun was setting over the Senju clan compound, casting a warm orange glow over the grounds.I stood alone, knowing that my small face had scrunched up in concentration as I tried to throw stones at a makeshift target. My tiny hands grasped a small rock, clasping hard on it, as I tossed it at the target. The rock sailed through the air, only to fall short, landing with a small thud in the dust.

I stood there, my small face scrunched up in concentration, and tossed another rock at the target. It sailed through the air, only to fall short, landing with a small thud in the dust. My face fell, and I looked around, searching for someone to share my frustration with. But I was alone. The other children were busy playing tag or hide-and-seek, their laughter and shouts carrying on the breeze.

I felt a pang of loneliness, wishing someone was there to talk to, to play with. But it seemed like everyone else was having more fun without me. I sighed and looked down at the ground, my eyes welling up with tears.

Just as I was about to give up, I saw a tiny figure approaching me. A little boy with messy red hair with two small ponytails at the edges of his head and big blue eyes was walking towards me, a curious expression on his face.

I had heard his voice just now... Asking me why I wasn't playing with others.

He looked even younger than me, but there was something about him that made me feel a little better. Maybe it was his cute smile, or the way he toddled towards me like he was on a mission. Whatever it was, I felt a small spark of interest ignite within me.

"Hi," he said, when he finally reached me. "Why you not play with others?" he asked repeating his question, his voice high-pitched and adorable.

I looked up at him, feeling a little surprised by his question. "I'm trying to hit the target," I explained, "but I'm not very good at it."

He nodded enthusiastically, his eyes shining with excitement, "I'll help you!, by the way my name is Tatsuya " he exclaimed.

"I'm Toka " I replied, with an eager expression finding it pleasant I had made my first friend.

I couldn't help but smile at his eagerness. And as we started playing together, I felt my loneliness start to fade away.

Together, we attempted to hit the target. Tatsuya's throws were wild and unpredictable, but I just couldn't help but giggle at his antics. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm golden light over the compound, I found myself feeling happier than I had all day.

As we played, I couldn't help but steal glances at Tatsuya. His cuteness was truly captivating in addition to his chubby cheeks and his infectious laughter. I didn't understand why but I really felt happy at that moment, maybe because I found my first friend.

As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, my mother called out to me, signaling that it was time to leave. Reluctantly I said goodbye to Tatsuya, promising to meet him again the next day.

Walking away, I glanced at him my hand at waving , " Let's meet again , bye ! " I channeled all my energy left for my parting words as I walked away."

" Bye " He screamed , as if even after all that Stone throwing he still had an abundant amount of energy left.

Chuckling at his energetic behavior,I jogged towards my mother, in high spirits.

Aina smiled reassuringly and handed Tatsuya a small, handmade wooden toy.

"Tatsuya, why don't you give this to Toka as a goodbye gift?" Aina suggested.

Tatsuya's face lit up ,although knowing it was quite childish but remembering his own age , he eagerly handed the toy to Toka. "For you, Toka ne chan !" he said, beaming " This is so that you don't forget about me.

Toka's tears began to dry as she took the toy from Tatsuya. She hugged it tightly, a small smile on her face. "Thank you, Tatsuya," she whispered.

Hashirama, and Tobirama watched the scene unfold, warm smiles on their faces. They were happy to see Tatsuya and Toka's friendship, and they knew that this goodbye was an important step in Tatsuya's growth.

Butsuma ever the serious one commanded " It's time for your departure. ".

As Tatsuya and Aina prepared to leave, a group of Senju guards arrived to escort them to the Uzumaki clan grounds. Butsuma nodded in approval, his eyes shining with pride.

"Be safe, Aina," Butsuma said, his voice low and serious. "And take care of our young Tatsuya."

Aina bowed respectfully, Tatsuya perched on her hip. "I will, Butsuma. Thank you for your concern."

As they departed, Toka waved goodbye, the wooden toy clutched tightly in her hand. Tatsuya grinned and waved back, excited for the adventures that lay ahead.

Walking away from the gates Tatsuya perched up on his mother's back as they would be travelling by foot.... And being a small child he was... He wasn't allowed to actually travel by walking, as that would slow down their speed alot.

As we made our way through lush forest filled with greenery, towards the land of whirpools, a large amout of mist started to gather around us.

It was supposed to be sunny as they had left at early dawn and although they had only covered about 1/8 th of pathaway they still had a long way to go.

" Lady Aina, I think we are being targeted " A soldier complained maintaining an subservient attitude towards Aina. His eyes darted around looking for any possible ambuhes.

The soldiers had already become guarded , already taking out their respective weapon, maintaining high vigilance.

The huge trees gave the perfect opportunity to other bandits or ninjas to ambush a group of people.

Tatsuya watched all of this happen within seconds, looking around as the mist grew and came closer to them and with that his vision of surrounding region also started to become blurry.

Perched atop the back of his mother he saw as wave of blue and brown particles came from their back and from beneath the ground simultaneously.

He shouted with all his strength " An attack from the ground and from our back !!".

" What!! How do you know that " Said a soldier as he glanced at me, seemingly disapproving as he thought I was distracting him.

But my mother didn't question it at all as she commanded " Pay heed to his words and prepare the opposing justus of water and earth to counterattack in the directions he has just told " .

While saying this she took out a long katana from its sheath which rested on her waist.

" Yes ". The soldiers didn't question her and immediately prepared themselves already starting to wave hand signs.

" Who would have guessed----"
