Chapter 3 - introduction continued again, I seriously could have made this just one chapter

bliss that, once I dashed down the hall, towards the, "exit", an open window, as fast as I could.

bliss that, the further and further I got from, "home", the more and more it grew.

the more and more it became uncontrollable.

I somewhat managed to keep myself together, despite my crazed eyes and panting breath while I stopped moving at near sonic speeds atop the roof of smaller apartment complex.

my body hunkered low against the small concrete lip that served the purpose of preventing things from being pushed off the roof, as some sort of shitty, itty bitty little guardrail.

as my love could be seen casually strolling below on the sidewalk, perfectly, beautifully unaware of my presence.

alone, as usual, but still flawless all the same.

I just, couldn't help myself any longer, and against any and all rules that had EVER been drilled into every inch of my skull since the day I'd been reborn, I leapt to the left, effortlessly sailing over both the roof itself, and the lip, before flipping once and plummeting silently to the ground, where I landed gracefully, without a single sound.

a grin permanently etched across my lips as I slipped forward, out of the alley, and into the crowded sidewalk, where, with hood drawn up and over my face, I faded into obscurity while I matched pace, step for step, with my love.

I was hand in hand right beside them.

him.

I blushed as I looked even deeper into his infuriatingly overlooked features, his high prescription glasses, God given acne, and unkept, blonde curly hair that no man-made creation dared to even begin to tame.

Note: (think cliche, skinny, kind of short, nerdy character that is the definition of background character entirely average in absolutely everything)

I mean, yes, I was happy his perfection made him invisible to women, truly, yet, at the same time.

I grit my teeth so hard; I could hear them cracking.

they ignored him!

I fumed with gloved fists clenched tight.

my head held low, hidden, covered by my hood.

but, even that wasn't enough to disguise the sheer disgust in my soul, as, with glowing red eyes, I glared dead ahead with eerie dedication.
