"Better?" Sirius asked as he gave Saoirse's air bubble a boost.
She didn't offer a response. She was just breathing. Sirius once again took off his woolen coat, stripping in front of his wife, but she didn't seem to mind.
If she was well enough to open her eyes, perhaps she would be embarrassed, but not now.
Sirius hoped to make a soft cushion for her as he adjusted her woolen bedding, placing it under her. He moved her arm and then he lay next to her in the right space, warming her.
Slowly the water around them began to feel warmer.
Saoirse felt his warmth, but she was too tired to appreciate it.
My poor little wife. He thought. Who would have thought that she would go through so much? He hoped their past life had at least been good.
"I love you." He whispered in her ear. He felt her feelings come through their bond weakly. She felt tired and yet grateful.
