Ian's POV
ATTACK!!!
Gathering strength from within, I crashed my fist into Cloves upper torso sending him crashing through trees to God knows where.
But I couldn't be bothered about that as I was immediately surrounded by wolves all around me. I noticed their number had dwindled a little and I guessed that had to do with Roshan but that didn't make me feel any better.
I felt eyes all around me looking at me like fresh prey and I knew I couldn't afford to make any mistakes.I turned my head to look at Roshan slightly
This would be a nice time for him to churn in....
I stood as I thought about the various ways to get out of my predicament.
Duck, slash, kick, jump, I rehearsed as I focused on my senses. But I was still getting hurt more than I've liked.
My silk shirt had been ripped off though many cuts showing only flesh wounds. The air smelt of blood but I knew majority didn't come from me.
The number had dwindled a little but the were still in their 20s and I was starting to loose momentum. I stepped my foot back a second too late as I saw long black claws taking the opportunity to drag through my skin.
Ahhhhh!! I grunted.
Stumbling back a little due to the pain, I shifted slightly but not far enough as a pair of jaws jammed into my right leg, blood spilling unto the floor my knees buckling to the ground.
I looked around dishelved, the wolves seeing this quickly went into formation. Being part of the Hales I knew what they planned to do and it wasn't good....
I mustered my strength and tried to stand on my two feet my weight shifting onto my left leg.
" And here I thought you'll last only 15 seconds, a voice said from behind me.
Turning around slowly recognising the voice my eyes meeting with his hazel eyes.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence, I snickered.
I'm guessing you finally decided to join, I said after.
Nope.., he answered to my surprise. I looked at him with a puzzled look on my face for a split second and adding to my confusion, his lips mouthed the word, RUN!
I just realised I was too focused on my fight earlier that I hadn't noticed. But standing still for a second I could hear the ruffle sounds getting louder in our direction and I knew it only meant one thing, back up...
"Shift a little, will ya..," Roshan said scutting me to the side. Squatting down he punched the ground sending shockwaves like an earthquake with a loud bang causing debris to fly in all directions, dust covering what remained of the normal forest.
Now.!!, He shouted to me. Running over to the Princess, he carried her over his shoulders and sprinted into the other side of the forest heading west. I ran behind him gnashing my teeth through the pain, adrenaline pulsing through my veins.
It was hard to keep up and I knew I was lacking behind. Roshan sprinted through the the forest his feet felt like the were barely touching the ground.
We moved through the forest trying not to leave a trail as we passed which was almost impossible at this speed.Roshan stopped for a brief second looking past me. Turning my head to that direction, I couldn't make out any images with my eyes, but I knew something was wrong cos for once he had a serious expression on his face.
I felt a light breeze and Roshan was right next to me, my feet leaving the ground and my upper body resting on his shoulder.
"Now you owe me a favour, and I always collect..," he said and his annoying smile back again on his face.
Trees passed by in a blur, and soon we were in a part of the forest beyond the boundaries of Valnaria known as the willows creak. The land was known to be dangerous so it was inhabited and Valnarians were always advised to stay off as you can go in but you may never come out.
What are we doing here....., I couldn't help but guess. Roshan looked like he knew his way around as he moved taking turns without the slightest hesitation.
I looked at Nyx and she was trying but failing to keep her eyes completely open with the speed. She didn't look hurt thankfully meaning Roshan kept his word.
"We are here, Roshan said stopping abruptly.
I turned around my eyes widening in surprise.
"Wow..!!, Nyx exclaimed.
