Nux appeared on a vast plains of greenery. After waiting for a few more minutes, nothing happened. Only then did he release a sigh of release and relaxed.
— A few minutes earlier —
Nux was standing in the hallway, with a purple hair girl hugging him from the front. She was resting her face against his chest, an intimate action that made Nux feel awkward.
As if remembering something, the girl's eyes snapped open, moving away slightly from Nux. With a smile, she opened her mouth.
"Oh by the way I - eh!!!?" Just as she was about to introduce herself, Nux used his superior cultivation and ran away. When the girl realized this, she can no longer catch up as Nux ran with astonishing speed, turning into a blur from her line of sight.
Nux, thanking his lucky star, ran straight towards the Dungeon. Since Dungeons have many places, he was sure that even if the girl were to follow him, there's only a low chance for her to find him.
And that's how he got here.
"Without a dagger in hand, I'll have to rely on long range magic. " Nux silently cursed the girl in his heart. That feeling from before, without a doubt it's doing of someone with Mental Power.
"So even with my higher cultivation, I'm still prone against unguarded attack huh? " He was agitated at that girl for using such methods and at himself, for having such weakness.
At the same time, he was relieved. That girl only forced him to be in a relationship with her, because without a doubt, that single moment where he was controlled, that girl could have killed him.
"I'll have a talk about this situation with her after the tournament. " Winning the tournament comes first, his top priority at the moment.
Physical Power is good against Magic Power and weak against Mental Power. Likewise, Magic Power is good against Mental but weak against Physical Power.
The reason for this was: Physical users can use their mobility as an advantage to get near a Magic users when casting their spells. Magic users can use magic spells to effectively block against Mental attacks.
'Should I try to breakthrough and become a Mage?' He thought. While he was technically a Dual Mage right now, only those who have created their Elemental Core has the right to call themselve Mage. He took a glanced at his surroundings, empty. Not a single monster was on sight.
'Hopefully I don't get attacked while cultivating.' Betting on the hope that no monster will attack him, Nux sat down to cultivate. The mana density in the Dungeon, despite it's low level, was several times better than the Valoria Academy!
With his talent, his artifact and chant given to him by his father, he was confident. "Nine days left, gotta start now."
Focusing his eyes, his slowly started reading the chant. This was it. He was going to make full use of his own talent, and support given by his family.
As if sensing his resolve, the mana in the surrounding, surged to his body! Soon enough, he was covered in a cocoon like, transparent strand of energy!
Those energies split to three equal part, one to his Magic Circle, one to his Physical Circle and the other one absorbed by his own body.
Seeing such effect, Nux was surprised. This speed of absorption completely surpassed his previous ones. Astonished and speechless, Nux tried to focus even more, not daring to break his concentration.
Mana, in the form of energy strands, continously flowed towards his body like an endless water stream!
Slimes, wolves, and other monster inhabitants of the Dungeon, was overseeing everything unfold. Mindless as they are, their instinct told them to never approach the boy. They, at the sight of Nux engrossed in cultivation, felt inexplicable fear in their hearts. So, all they could do was watch.
Blue and Red light covered his body body for a moment, signifying a breakthrough! He was now at Sixth Level of both Physical and Magic Power, yet, his absorption speed seemed to increase even more further. It didn't even showed any signs of slowing down, but the area of his absorption increased as well.
On his second day, the same Blue and Red light appeared again! Seventh Level! He was nearing it! And just like yesterday, his area of absorption and speed increased as well. Nux, on the other hand had his eyes closed. By now, he had memorized the chant.
"So this is were you were huh?" A feminine voice said. She looked at Nux who was so deep in cultivation that he didn't even sensed her. She was the same purple hair girl that Nux was running away from.
"A genius or a monster? Perhaps a prodigy? This reincarnation was really worth it fufu" A playful giggle escaped her lips, engraving this wonderful scene of Nux and his monstrous absorption in front of her.
3rd Day….
4th Day... Eight Level!
5th Day...
6th Day.... Ninth Level!
Then, the 8th day came. He was now at the Tenth Level in both Power! Inside his sea of consciousness, he carefully controlled all ten daggers and red ring, dissolving them into liquid state and shaping them onto a sturdy, red, ball with a dagger engraved on to it. This was his Dagger Core, on it, he can store a different energy known as Battle Energy! To do so, he would need to supply his Dagger Core with Mana and it would automatically convert it to Battle Energy. Next, he sit his eyes on twenty glowing stars on his blue ring.
The stars dissolved, along with the blue ring. Controlling them with his mind, he created a blue core. Orbiting around it was two star, one black and one red. On it, he can store Elemental Energy. To gain Elemental Energy, he also just need to supply his Elemental Core with mana.
But, something was confusing him. Wasn't this supposed to be a hard thing to do? Then why and how did he do it in such ease? Is it really because of his talent?
Also, he can feel it. The mana surrounding him, it has diminished. He probably had absorbed a lot. And his body, felt even more lighter and easier to move. Happy with this changes, Nux opened his eyes only to receive a shocking scene that he will never forget!
The girl he was running away from, was sitting in front him, a few meters away, smiling at him gently. Yet, those smiles sends shiver down his spine!
