Austin's POV
I knew my life would be different when I first met Penelope. When Sophia showed up with the pale and thin girl, pinching her arm and forcing her to call me"Brother," I snorted in my heart. This woman aspired to ascend to the top, seeking favor with my father, but she still desired her daughter to gain favor with me.
I was not going to like them.
However, after several days of observation, I discovered that there was still a significant difference between this malnourished pup and her mother. She didn't smile at me like a pug. She didn't make trouble like Emma. She just stayed in the corner by herself. Nobody could tell what she was thinking.
Although she was a bit dumb, she still could be regarded as obedient. I decided that I would allow Penelope to be my sister.
But when did it start? When did I not dare to look into Penelope's eyes?
