As Alex entered the classroom, Raven followed closely behind. Rizark frantically sat in his front-row seat, his gaze on between the two. The other students exchanged confused glances, whispering among themselves.
Who is this guy?….
Who is he?….
...
...
....
Alex took his place at the front of the class and spoke in his usual blunt tone.
"Hem, hem. This is your new teacher. He's going to be teaching you… something."
Raven stepped forward, his crimson almond-shaped eyes scanning the room. "Hello, students. My name is Raven, and I will be teaching you about aura and magic."
Murmurs spread across the room. Some of the boys scoffed making proud malleable faces.
"We don't need another teacher."
"Teacher Sheng already knows everything."
"What could this guy possibly teach us?"
Alex's lips curled up slightly. They're learning.
But the female students—most of them no older than twelve or thirteen—reacted differently. ( guys in human age they are 13 or 12 but according to dragon age they are already 30 or 35-year-old their growth is slow)
"Don't be rude!" one of them scolded.
"Welcome, Teacher Raven!" another said with a soft smile.
Raven said with a gentle crinkling around the eyes. "I understand that it may take time for you to accept me, but who knows? I might be better than Teacher Sheng in some ways."
As his ears caught his words Rizark's brows furrowed. "You? Better than Teacher Sheng?" His expression grew dark. "That's impossible."
Alex let out a dry laugh. "Hem, hem. Let's not start a fight." He walked to the side and sat down in the corner of the room. "Go ahead, teach them. And kids, don't be too rude to our guest."
Raven nodded, stepping forward. His voice was smooth, but there was an underlying sharpness to it.
"Before we begin, let me ask you something. What do you think of your teacher, Sheng?"
Rizark immediately stood up, his voice filled with conviction.
"I don't wanna tell a petty being like you, his nose straightened still let me tell you He is the strongest person I have ever seen! His presence alone commands authority. He is absolute."
Raven smirked. "Oh? And tell me, can he kill a god? Can he defeat war heroes? Can he stand against the legends of this world?"
Rizark faltered for a moment before forcing out a stubborn, "Yes." Then he sat down, clenching his jaw.
Alex, meanwhile, watched silently, his thoughts elsewhere. I want to beat this bastard so badly… just one moment I want and he is dead but not now. If I kill him my plans here, it'll all be for nothing and first of all that bastard how he knows my name who is he?
Rosalia hesitantly raised her hand. "I… I think Teacher Sheng is like a saint. He carries wisdom beyond his years, and even though he looks young, he's incredibly mature."
Raven let out a low giggle. "So, he's either a god-slaying warrior or a saint? Interesting." He shook his head. "But enough about him. I'm here to teach you, not sing praises of your beloved Teacher Sheng."
Some students still looked reluctant.
A boy in a white suit and half pants, the pattern of the school dress was a suit and half pants but the color depended on what the students wished for, Olfred, leaned back in his seat. "We've already learned about magic. Why waste our time listening to you?"
Raven arched a brow. "Oh? Then tell me—what have you learned?"
"We know all the basics," Olfred replied confidently.
"Then you understand affinity magic?"
"Of course," Olfred mocked. "But affinity is borrowed power. Teacher Sheng taught us that."
Raven's expression shaded slightly, a sharp grin forming. "Borrowed power?" He let out a grim chuckle. "I didn't expect dragon heirs to be this foolish."
The room fell silent.
Raven stepped forward, speaking his words loudly.
"Affinity is something you feel, is it not? It is a part of you, your very essence. Calling it 'borrowed power' is absurd. Even a five-year-old could tell you that."
Olfred clenched his fists but said nothing, instead glancing at Alex, as if hoping he would say something.
Raven turned back to the rest of the class. "I've heard enough about Teacher Sheng's so-called 'dignity.' Now, raise your hand if you want to learn about true affinity magic."
The students hesitated. Their eyes darted between each other. Curiosity gnawed at them. Even those who had been skeptical couldn't ignore their desire to learn something new.
Slowly, hands began to rise.
Except for four.
Rizark, Rosila, Olfred, and Rethala kept their hands down.
Alex exhaled through his nose, shaking his head. That's why I always say… kids are simple.
Then
He stood finely wiping the dust from his robe….
