Footsteps echoed through a long, luxurious hallway, fitted with silk curtains that draped over the large windows to the right.
To the left were rooms with paintings and vases with exotic flowers filling the middle.
'Man, I can't believe it's been 14 years since I've been reincarnated!' a young teen mumbled to himself.
He had shoulder-length black hair that was nicely tied. He wore a black shirt with white pants over his fit body while his golden eyes shone with excitement.
'I used to be your normal teen,' the boy mumbled inwardly, 'normal parents and a childhood with a beautiful girlfriend.'
His eyes darted toward the portraits of various people along the hallway as he continued, 'I was into manga and when I was walking down to a store to buy myself the manga that had just been released, I got into an accident!'
As he walked forward, his eyes glanced towards the portrait of a woman that looked almost exactly like him.
The woman had long black hair and wore a black dress with golden embroidery over her voluptuous body.
The boy looked at her eyes, his gaze softening a little as he did, 'I was killed by truck-kun and was reborn. Reborn into this fantasy world.'
He smiled at the portrait for a moment before he turned around and resumed walking, 'I was born to a duchess of a small kingdom in this fantasy world.'
He soon reached the end of the hall, and the boy looked to his left and right.
He squinted his eyes as he looked to his right; he could smell the fresh scent of grass and flowers coming through; after all, the right led to a garden.
But the boy turned left; it was another long hallway, as empty as the first one.
'As disappointing as it is, I have a father…' the boy mumbled inwardly as he walked to his left.
'But he's not the duke, though. You see, he is a count and my mother married him for convenience,' he mumbled inwardly as he shook his head.
'In this world, everyone awakens at 14. They awaken a class like swordsman, spearman, etc. This world works like an RPG game, like levelling up with exp. But the way to gain exp differs for each class.'
The boy then halted in his tracks and looked to his right; it was a door.
The door was made out of dark wood with many magical circles and runes intricately carved into it.
In the middle of the largest magic circle was a blue gem that shone brightly.
'Alright, here we go.' The boy mumbled to himself while his eyes flickered with determination.

He grabbed the door handle and twisted it.
VOOM
The blue gem vibrated a little as it brightened before the boy heard a soft click, and the door opened.
He then walked inside to see almost nothing.
His brows creased together as he glanced around. It was dark, almost too dark. But the blue gems etched into the ceiling gave the room some visibility.
The boy squinted his eyes as he looked around; the walls were made up of dark stone that absorbed any light while the ground beneath had a big magic circle drawn with white chalk.
And in the middle of the room was— "You're here."
A mature woman in her 30s looked at the boy with an affectionate smile on her face; she had long black hair and golden eyes. She was wearing a red dress that tightly hugged her voluptuous body, emphasising her curves.
"Mom," the boy said with a smile as he walked towards her, seemingly ignoring the man beside her.
The man was in his 40s with some grey hair coming out of his head. He had a sharp jawline and brown eyes that squinted at his son, who blatantly ignored him.
His eyes flickered in anger as he watched his son hug his wife.
"Did you have breakfast?" the boy asked as he looked up at her; he was little shorter than her and came up to her shoulders.
"Yes, I did." The woman said as she ruffled his hair. "I sent a maid to call you, but she said you were asleep, so I didn't want to disturb you. After all, today is a big day for my cute son."
The boy nodded his head and opened his mouth and was about to say something when,
"We need to start, or it will get late." The man interrupted him.
The boy frowned as he turned to his father; a flicker of contempt passed through his eyes, but he concealed it immediately.
The woman nodded at the man's words and said to her son, "Alright, we will finish it quickly; I've ordered a feast!"
The man's face twisted at her words.
SCOFF
He scoffed as he looked at his son and said, "I believe it is too early. We do not know what class he will awaken yet!"
The boy raised an eyebrow at this while the woman frowned; she turned to her husband to see him snickering at their son.
She didn't understand why these two never got along and always fought; nonetheless, he insulted her son, and that cannot be allowed. "Watch your words," she growled as she glared at him.
The man's eyes wavered at her reaction in fear while a smug smile bloomed on the boy's face.
The man opened his mouth and was about to say something when this time, the boy cut him off and said, "Leave it, Mom. I am more interested in the feast you prepared."
The man's face twitched at this, his heart thumped in rage as he gritted his teeth. He couldn't believe that a brat like him would disrespect him like that.
But the woman thought about her son's words for a moment before she nodded.
She then turned around to a stand with a translucent orb about the size of a basketball placed on it.
"Dear, place your hand on this orb. A small amount of mana will then be injected into you and after that, you will awaken your class." The woman explained.
The boy nodded in understanding and stepped towards the orb. He then lifted his hand and placed it on it, and the moment he did so,
WHOOSH
The orb vibrated a little while the blue gems etched into the ceiling shone brightly.
A white light bloomed inside the orb. The white light then formed into a small tendril of white light and shot towards the boy's hand.
The boy's eyes twitched a little as his hand felt ticklish. He could feel the white tendril travelling in his body.
It shot from his hand towards his chest before shooting towards his brain and going back to his heart.
It then circled his heart before entering it, disappearing.
Just then, on the outside, the boy's eyes went wide as a blue screen materialised before him; 'Whoa!' he exclaimed inwardly.
His golden eyes shone as he observed it, 'It's just like the system in those web novels!' he mumbled inwardly.
The woman smiled as she looked at his reaction and knew the process was complete.
The boy's eyes darted around the screen as he read through the information on it.
