Chapter 25 - Revenge of Legolas

"What the hell is that thing?!"

"It's a goddamn Wraith Spirit! We can't fight this thing—we have to run away!!!"

"What's a Wraith Spirit?!"

"You dumbass, they're spirits summoned from the otherworld. If we go up against it—it's gonna steal our souls and take us back with it!"

"You have to be kidding me..."

Two members of the Fraud Phantom Mutiny blocked the entrance of the Guild lobby, holding onto Rare-Grade equipment.

One was a bow, and the other was a long sword, carved with ancient symbols.

"It's heading our way, let's make a run for it!"

"B-But we can't! We have to protect our leader!!"

"You fool, didn't you just hear me?! It's a spirit from the otherworld, we can't defeat this thing!!"

"Then I'll die trying!" The player ran towards the Wraith, holding his long sword with both hands, "Heeeeyaaah!!" He jabbed his weapon into the spirit, skewering its intangible body.

"Aaaaahhyuuuu!" The spirit released a deafening shriek, piercing their eardrums.

"Gaaah! I-It's too loud!" He dropped his sword and covered his ears—slowly stepping back.

"Gyaaah! It's releasing a banshee cry!" The other player dropped his bow to cover his ears, pushing open the door to run for his life.

"W-Where are you going? You coward!" The one who attacked the spirit would turn around, watching his teammate escape, "Huh-!?" But all of a sudden he could feel himself spinning around.

It didn't take long to notice that his head had been severed from his body.

It collided with the ground, spurting blood over the stone floor.

He could only blink; finally registering what happened.

("No... I can't die... not like this.")

His consciousness slowly faded as his body vanished into particles.

Meanwhile, the Wraith burst through the doors of the Guild lobby, extending its spectral arm forward to cast a spell.

The members within the lobby all had their weapons, whilst Mage class players launched spells of all kinds; from Celestial, Elemental, and Debuff spells.

They all hurtled towards the spirit in an attempt to overpower it.

But little did they know—their attack was being absorbed from an invisible Forcefield.

"What the hell is going on?! Why are our attacks not working?" A Mage class shouted.

"I think it's absorbing it..." A Knight class responded.

"Shit!! We're all gonna fucking die, aren't we?!"

"Don't falter now, keep attacking!" A high-class mage ordered the other players, boasting their motivation.

Light attacks, dark attacks, fire attacks, ice attacks, air attacks, and earth attacks.

Arrows, Celestial spells, Debuff spells.

All of them would hit the Grim Reaper and be absorbed.

They kept assaulting the spirit, hoping to land a decisive blow.

The players believed that they would pierce through its Forcefield, but in the end, they only made it worse.

"W-Wait a second, is it—"

"It's going to throw everything back at us!!!"

"You have to be fucking kidding me!"

The Wraith would cast a magic circle, firing hundreds of dark beams towards its enemies.

Each ray of darkness would collide with the players, piercing through their bodies and imploding them from the inside out.

Their body parts danced in the air as blood and guts painted the room.

Meanwhile, Legolas ambled into the Guild lobby, limping in his movement.

"Good riddance. You get what you deserve."

The Wraith and Legolas continued making their way through the Guild in search of Alice and Jacob.

("Ever since I summoned this thing, it's been making me exhausted. It's slowly draining all of my mana to sustain its existence—and when it runs out, my soul will be taken as part of the deal for summoning it.")

In Isekai World Online, all players have different life and mana points, depending on their level. The caps for reaching higher life and mana points are:

{ Level 1-10: Life points (20) Mana Points (20)

Level 11-20: Life points (40) Mana Points (40)

Level 21-30: Life points (60) Mana Points (60)

Level 31-40: Life points (80) Mana Points (80)

Level 41-50: Life points (100) Mana Points (100)

Level 51-60: Life points (120) Mana Points (120)

Level 61-70: Life points (140) Mana Points (140)

Level 71-80: Life points (160) Mana Points (160)

Level 81-90: Life points (180) Mana Points (180)

Level 100: Life points (200) Mana Points (200)}

Currently, Legolas was only level 30, so he only consisted of 60 life points and 60 mana points.

From this, the Grim Reaper can only stay active for 60 minutes.

The elf knew that he had to make every minute count, so he killed who needed to be killed, and destroyed what needed to be destroyed.

"Set this guild ablaze," Legolas ordered the spirit as it followed the command. Thus, the Wraith would use Elemental magic, setting the Guild lobby on fire.

They then walked from the lobby, making their way into the next room; where the cafeteria was located.

Hundreds of other players were waiting inside—but they were visibly shaken—seeing how the members of the Guild lobby were so easily handled.

"P-Please... spare us!" An elf fell to their hands and knees, joining her palms into a prayer, "We'll give you anything you want! Just spare our lives!"

Another guild member fell to their knees, doing the same thing.

They gave up hope, knowing they couldn't win against the Wraith.

"Spare our lives!"

Two ladies crawled towards Legolas as a human girl slowly pulled their shirt to the side, exposing their shoulders and breasts, "You can have our bodies, we'll willingly give them up to you if you spare us."

Another one did the same; she appeared to be an elf.

"Yes, you can use me however you want. Just spare our lives! I-I'll even be a loyal mother if I get the chance to have your children!"

"...."

Legolas glanced at the two women, his eyes filled with hatred, and yet, he responded with a simple:

"Fine."

"W-What?! Really?" The elf girl stood up with wide eyes.

"Are you serious?" The other human girl did the same, hugging Legolas. "T-Thank you for sparing us!"

"What are you two doing?" Legolas asked in a deep voice.

"Huh?" The elf girl looked terrified.

"Y-You said you'll spare our lives... right?" The human girl asked.

"No, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to my spirit."

"What??" They backed away, falling on their backside.

They couldn't even walk as fear engulfed their bodies.

"He told me to spare nobody and kill everyone here," Legolas crazily smiled, "You see—my Wraith is sorta greedy—and he's always hungry for more death! You two will do just fine as the appetizers!!"

"No, stop... please!" The spirit would grasp the elf around the neck, and lift them into the air, "Aaaack...! Don't kill me, please, I'm sorry for whatever we did!" She closed her eyes, tearing up as she started hitting the spirit's hand with weak fists.

"I wonder if the otherworld is as beautiful as Terra—I guess you'll be the one to find out, huh?"

"Stop...!" She released a strained voice, feeling the spirit grasp a chunk of her flesh on her hip, and ripping it from her body. "Aaahhhhhhhh!! My body! My body! Stoppppp!!!" She kicked back and forth as her eyes widened in agony.

The elf was fueled with adrenaline, trying to kick her legs toward the spirit.

But she failed.

Her struggle was in vain.

The elf eventually gave up, revealing that her health bar was at zero, thus, her soul was absorbed by the Wraith and sent into its endless stomach.

"O-Oh, my god!"

The human girl, next to them, couldn't even move; she was in shock.

Blood covered her face from her friend being ripped apart, and she knew she was next.

"Elysia… no!"

Hundreds of players got up and screamed, running away like cattle inside a lion's den.

"I'm gonna die…"

The human girl would suddenly feel her head being cut in half by a scythe, and her soul absorbed into the spirit.

Legolas grinned.

"That's right, run! Cower in fear!! You bastards should be thankful that I'm killing you!" He scowled. "From the pain I suffered, consider this an act of mercy! If I was so petty, all of you would be suffering endlessly!"

They tried opening the doors to the cafeteria, but they were locked.

Two large spirits blocked the exit, preventing escape.

"W-What the hell is going on? Why are two spirits blocking the doors?! We can't leave!" Cried a Knight Class.

"They're spirits from the otherworld, working under the order of the Wraith! You have no chance of escape, so if I were all of you, I would spend my last minutes fighting! Pwa ha ha!" Legolas cackled.

"You've gone on long enough, intruder."

A familiar voice was heard behind Legolas, as he halted his laughing, turning around.

Honora was standing behind him.

She was one of the top members of the Fraud Phantom Mutiny.

But it wasn't only her—

It was the entire bunch.

Viper Fang, Isabella, Bertram, Pocchi, Dorothy, and Archibald.

Legolas couldn't help but scowl.

"So you finally decided to show up… you bastards!!!"
