Chereads / Dragon Ball: The Strongest Training / Chapter 5 - Mount Paozu

Chapter 5 - Mount Paozu

Blue skies, white clouds, and a gentle breeze carried the ocean waves toward the shore.

"Ha… huh…" A muscular figure dashed by. His upper body was bare, revealing a chiseled physique, complete with defined abs and shark-like muscle contours. However, the faint purple turtle shell strapped to his back somewhat undermined the aesthetic.

With one final leap, Krillin landed steadily on one foot, the other following gracefully, the movement precise and controlled.

"Huff, huff…" Krillin exhaled deeply, wiping sweat from his brow. "Finally getting used to this 80-kilogram shell," he said with a grin. These past eight days had been incredibly productive.

Time: Age 756

Name: Krillin

Age: 20

Race: Human

Power Level: 196

Skills: Kamehameha, Solar Flare, Afterimage Technique...

Training Limit: 1500

"Super-speed training is amazing. My power level is improving noticeably every day! Haha, soon I'll catch up to Goku!"

Suddenly, Krillin slapped himself across the face. "Snap out of it! What are you even thinking?" he chided himself.

"Goku went from a power level of 9,000 to 1.5 million in five days during his trip to Namek! What do I have to be proud of?" He slapped himself again, harder this time.

"Still so much work to do…" he sighed deeply.

A month had passed since he arrived in the Dragon Ball world. Truth be told, it wasn't so bad. He could fly freely through the skies, eat to his heart's content, and even had a future wife waiting for him. "Keep going, Krillin," he thought to himself. "The future looks bright!"

Back at Kame House, Master Roshi was lying on the floor in front of the television, engrossed in a women's exercise program. His expression, complete with drool at the corner of his mouth, was the epitome of perversion.

"Master Roshi, Goku is getting married the day after tomorrow. We should start preparing to head to Mount Paozu," Krillin said casually.

Roshi didn't respond, too absorbed in the TV.

"Master Roshi! Master Roshi!" Krillin raised his voice.

"Huh?" Roshi finally acknowledged him with a lazy grunt. "Oh, I'm not going. You young people do your thing. I'll stay here."

"That's not going to fly," Krillin retorted. "Goku and the Ox-King are your disciples. How can their teacher not attend the wedding?"

Krillin leaned in conspiratorially. "Besides, there will be lots of pretty women."

"Hoo-hoo!" Roshi's eyes lit up. "Krillin, when are we leaving?"

Krillin smirked. Still so gullible.

Wedding Preparations

"What should I give Goku as a wedding gift?" Krillin mused. Monetary gifts weren't a thing in this world, and Goku wouldn't care about material possessions anyway.

His eyes landed on a round stone sitting on a bookshelf. The word "Turtle" was carved into its surface.

Memories washed over Krillin. Back in the day, during their training under Master Roshi, whoever found this stone would get to eat dinner, while the loser went hungry. Krillin had once tricked Goku into giving up the stone, leaving him without a meal.

"This stone… it's perfect," Krillin chuckled.

The next day, the trio prepared to leave. Master Roshi wore a formal outfit resembling a Zhongshan suit, complete with a neatly combed wig. He looked unusually dignified. Launch donned a golden gown that complemented her blonde hair, giving her a commanding presence.

Krillin, the main character, wore a white suit that surprisingly suited him well, though his polished bald head and short stature slightly undermined the overall effect.

"Let's go, Master Roshi. I'll pilot the airship," Krillin said. "But it's my first time going to Mount Paozu. Hope the navigation works!"

A Reunion with Goku

After a long, winding journey through the mountains, Krillin finally spotted Goku's house—a simple yet iconic structure surrounded by nature.

As they stepped off the airship, a towering man threw himself to the ground, bowing deeply. "Master Roshi! Are you well?"

"Ox-King, you seem to be behaving yourself," Roshi replied calmly.

The Ox-King grinned. "Ever since I followed your teachings, I've been striving to be a good man!"

Krillin observed the massive figure before him. "So this is the Ox-King? He's as rough-looking as I expected, but… where are his horns?"

"Krillin! Long time no see!" a familiar, cheerful voice called out. Goku approached with his trademark grin, grabbing Krillin's hands in excitement.

Looking up—yes, looking up—Krillin first noticed Goku's bright eyes before taking in his outfit: a blue undershirt beneath a Turtle School gi, blue boots with yellow stripes, and matching wrist guards.

"Goku, it's been a while!" Krillin said, smiling. "You've grown taller again, haven't you?"

Meeting Chi-Chi

"Where's Chi-Chi?" Krillin asked.

"She's trying on her wedding dress," Goku replied, scratching his head.

Soon, Chi-Chi appeared, dressed in a stunning white gown. Her long, black hair flowed over her shoulders, framing her delicate features. Her bright eyes sparkled, and her smile revealed charming dimples.

"Master Roshi, Uncle Krillin, hello," Chi-Chi said shyly.

Krillin scratched his head awkwardly. "Sheesh, I'm only a year older than Goku, but I still have to be called 'Uncle.'"

"Chi-Chi, you've grown into such a beautiful woman," Roshi complimented her, nodding approvingly.

Krillin couldn't help but reflect on how life had softened Chi-Chi. "Marriage has brought out her gentle side," he thought.

The Sparring Match

"Krillin, you've gotten a lot stronger. Spar with me!" Goku said, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Heh, I'd love to," Krillin replied, eager to test his progress.

Time: Age 756

Goku's Power Level: 260

Krillin's Power Level: 205

The two exchanged blows, testing each other's strength. Dust clouds rose as their attacks collided, shaking the ground.

Eventually, Goku's superior power overwhelmed Krillin. After an intense exchange, Goku's Kamehameha pushed Krillin back, sending him crashing through several trees.

Before losing consciousness, Krillin groaned inwardly, Never challenge a Son family member to an energy beam struggle.

When Krillin woke up, his body ached all over. "System, activate recovery," he muttered. A mysterious energy enveloped him, gradually healing his injuries.

"Krillin, you're incredible!" Goku said, his grin as wide as ever.

"You're not so bad yourself, Goku," Krillin replied, laughing.

As the two sat by a fire roasting a feast of wild game, Krillin thought, No matter how hard it gets, I'll keep pushing forward. After all, that's what being a warrior is all about.
