Chapter 29: The Decision
Sarah took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her decision settling in. She had been thinking about Jake's proposal for days, weighing the pros and cons, and trying to listen to her heart.
As she sat in her apartment, surrounded by the quiet of the evening, Sarah felt a sense of clarity wash over her. She thought about all the reasons she had been hesitant to move in with Jake - the fear of commitment, the uncertainty of the future, the worry about what others might think.
But as she reflected on her feelings, Sarah realized that none of those reasons mattered. What mattered was the way she felt when she was with Jake - happy, loved, and alive.
Sarah's heart swelled with emotion as she thought about Jake's words - "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Sarah. I want to wake up every morning with you by my side."
She knew that she felt the same way. She wanted to wake up every morning with Jake by her side, to explore the world together, to build a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
With a sense of determination, Sarah picked up her phone and dialed Jake's number. When he answered, she could hear the uncertainty in his voice.
"Hey," he said. "I was starting to think I'd never hear from you again."
Sarah smiled, feeling a sense of joy and relief. "I'm sorry," she said. "I just needed some time to think. But I've made my decision."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and Sarah could sense Jake's anticipation.
"I'll do it," she said finally. "I'll move in with you."
There was a whoop of excitement on the other end of the line, and Sarah couldn't help but laugh.
"I'll be right there," Jake said, his voice filled with emotion.
Twenty minutes later, Jake was standing at Sarah's doorstep, a bouquet of flowers in his hand. Sarah's heart swelled with love as she opened the door and flung herself into his arms.
"I'm so sorry I made you wait," she said, tears of joy streaming down her face.
Jake held her close, his eyes shining with happiness. "You're worth waiting for," he said. "Forever and always."
