[Milliflore]
"We have arrived."
I stared in awe at the house in front of me. It was big and white and majestic! If our humble abode back in the rice fields was simple and refreshing, this one is elegant. I feel like the ones who should be living here are princesses. Now, I feel compelled to act like one.
"Don't act so surprised, dear. You'll see lots of mansions and Vermille and I absolutely cannot have you gawking around with your mouth wide open," Auntie remarked.
Aunt went past through me and I immediately followed. Every servant in the house bowed their heads in respect. Yet, Aunt did not stop walking. I could not greet them back because I was pressured to just follow her. I could not even take in the beautiful ornaments and adorations inside the mansion!
Aunt Winowa only stopped when we reached a door in the left wing on the second floor. She pulled out its key and pushed the door open, revealing a massive room full of books. Welcoming you from the doors is a circular platform, a massive one also. Then, there goes the endless shelves of books surrounding the platform, filling the whole room.
"This is where you will be training your magic. You've got books to read here and on this platform," she stood in the middle of the platform. "… is where you will perform your spells, magic."
She closed her eyes for a while and inhaled a deep breath.
"I see they are still not done preparing your room. Stay here first. Just do not destroy the books. I'll be right back."
Her heels stomped their way out of the library. As soon as she slammed the doors closed, I let myself be immersed in the books they had. There were so many things about demons, alchemy, and witchcraft. There are just so many things to know!
I went to the second floor of the library and wandered around. It baffles me how the library is two-story while this is already the second floor. Anyway, I scanned through the shelves to find some books to read. Everything was interesting and I honestly do not know where to start.
I ended up bringing the books back onto their shelves because I could not read all of them. As I was inserting the last book into the shelf, another book fell on my head. I kneeled to pick it up and saw what book it was.
"Of Dreams and Memories by Selena Ashfield, Volume 1."
I opened the page and here is the first thing it said:
"Dreams are the reflection of reality, of things we experience and of things we desire."
Curiosity began growing inside me, urging me to turn more pages. And so I did.
The first few pages consist of general information about dreams, what they are, and what they may depict. With every turn I took, the more I got immersed in its magic.
"Dreams can be a mirror into the future," I read.
And there are so many things about what dreams may be.
I can't help but remember him– the man in my dreams. Every time I was with him was a fleeting moment. I wish I could meet him. I wonder if there is a spell that could let me go through my dreams so that I can meet that man. If I were to observe us, then I might be able to see his face.
I smiled at the thought.
Before I knew it, a vine started to emerge from the papers, blooming into a beautiful deep red hue of rose. It was my power. It is leaking again. But I am glad that this time, it did not cause disaster.
A slamming of doors woke me up from my daydream. I immediately hid the book behind me and stood upright. I heard aunt's footsteps coming towards me.
As if nothing happened, I flashed her a beautiful smile. Hopefully, it didn't come out awkward. Aunt Winowa raised her eyebrow at me, appraising my seemingly innocent look.
"Your bedroom is ready. Rest at once because, in the next few days, you won't be able to do so."
I just nodded and hopefully, she would leave already.
Without wasting her time, she went back to where she came from. I brought the book with me and saw myself out of the library a few minutes later. A servant was waiting for me outside the library and she guided me to my room.
I urged her to leave first before I opened the doors myself. What came to me was a moderate room, not so fancy and not so cheap. It was adequately furnished and had enough room for me to lie on the ground and do whatever.
And so, I lay on the ground and opened the book once again. I skipped pages and pages until I found something that interested me.
"Eternal dream. An eternal dream is a dream that lasts forever. Those who wish for the opposite of their lives and those who desire to live in a world of their desires seek immortal dreams. Anyone who wishes for endless dreams shall never awaken."
Hmmm… this is interesting but shall I go to these lengths just to see him? I do not wish to succumb to an eternal sleep. I only want to know him more.
I lay flat on the floor, arms and legs spread across the carpet. My curiosity is growing larger and more dangerous. I must let go of this and I can only do that when I see him.
My eyes closed in exhaustion. Even as I close my eyes, all I think about is that man. I wish I could see him once more. The feeling that he's giving me is just… exquisite.
After a while of just lying with my eyes closed, I felt a gentle tug on my dress. My eyes blinked as they adjusted to the night. After a while, a heavy pressure registered on top of my belly. I looked down and saw a man's head resting on top of me.
"Oh my!"
I stood up without a care if he would get hurt or not. I took a shield behind the blanket on my bed and only let my eyes be uncovered. He did not seem to be hurt or even awoken by what happened!
I slowly let down the blanket, wanting to see more. His back was facing me and… he was naked. I can see his butt!
Who in the world is this guy!?
