"Ouch" I said trying to stand up but I couldn't I was strapped on the ambulance bed.

"What's going own" I blurted out.

"Your gonna be okay" The nurse attending to me told me.

I looked around searching for my family as I was rolled into the ambulance and there I saw them covering all their bodies up.

A few hours back

"Hey Mia let's go mom and dad are waiting in the car" Eric my brother screamed.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming" I said trying to put on my shoes as I leaped out on one leg.

It was the beginning of the summer and me and my family decided to go on vacation

It was a 8 hours drive from western mainland to eastern mainland.

The ride was going smooth and fun till it was night time my mom and brother were sleeping but I couldn't sleep I felt so uneasy on the drive I had protested on not going but my protest was too no avail, I could see the tiredness in my dads eyes.

"Dad?" I said

"Yeah!" He answered yawning

"We could take a break and continue in the morning you seem tired"

"No worries hunny I'll be ok" he said

I wasn't still at ease but tried to fall asleep

I closed my eyes and woke up being put in an ambulance and my family dead

At the hospital

"Your okay now hunny" the doctor told me

I couldn't speak I was still trying to process everything that happened, then the door opened

I looked up

" Hey there" the nurse in the ambulance came in, I could see her clearly she was pretty looked like she had couple of kids and was also really pretty

"Hi" I said

"So do you know anyone who could come take you home?" She asked with a smile

I couldn't hold my tears anymore

"Wait their really gone? My family their gone?" I screamed at the top of my lungs

Some nurses rushed in trying to console me

The nice nurse held me close

I felt injected with something and passed out

Woke up with the nurse still by my side

"Oo your awake" she said smiling

"I don't have anyone to go to" I said still wanting to cry

"Hey it's okay, don't worry hun I'll take you in"she said holding me tight

"Really???" I said looking up to her

"Yes really, ill start with the adoption papers" she said standing to leave me

I watched her leave the door, even tho I was devastated I lost my family I was happy starting a new life
