Doraemon used his teacher-voice trick to rouse Nobita, knowing exactly how much Nobita feared authority. The familiar tone of scolding about tardiness and homework sent a jolt through Nobita, who was still half-asleep. "Here! Teacher, I've finished my homework!" Nobita blurted, scrambling upright before realizing where he was.
Doraemon reverted to his normal voice, chuckling to himself. "You still have fifteen minutes before school starts. Better hurry, Nobita."
Nobita panicked, fumbling to gather his books and shove them into his bag. He dashed out the door with a slice of bread in one hand and a carton of milk in the other. "Doraemon, why don't you wake me earlier?!" he yelled over his shoulder.
"I've been trying for ages," Doraemon muttered, shaking his head and picking up a comic book to read.
At school, the bell rang as Nobita was still a few minutes away. The teacher, dressed in a crisp gray suit, began the day's roll call. As usual, he started with Nobita's name. "Nobi Nobita. Is Nobi Nobita here?" The tone was strict but resigned, as though the teacher already knew the answer.
"Late again," the teacher sighed, continuing with the rest of the roll call. When he reached Dekisugi's name, the boy answered promptly, his usual diligence evident in his calm demeanor.
"Class, let's go over yesterday's arithmetic test," the teacher announced. "Only Dekisugi scored a perfect mark. The rest of you need to reflect on why you missed points."
Just then, Nobita burst into the classroom, out of breath and disheveled. "Nobita, late again?" the teacher said with a glare. "Do you at least have your homework? If not, you'll be standing in the hallway."
"Yes, teacher, I've done it," Nobita stammered, fumbling in his bag and handing over his notebook. The teacher glanced through it, surprised to find the work completed and correct. He gestured for Nobita to take his seat.
Jaian and Suneo snickered from the back of the room. They loved finding reasons to tease Nobita, but with the teacher present, they held back. Nobita, however, was already too flustered to notice.
The lecture on arithmetic problems began, and while the teacher explained simple concepts, Dekisugi's mind wandered. The material was far too easy for him, and he found himself fighting off boredom. Nobita, on the other hand, struggled to understand even the basics and quickly dozed off at his desk.
"Nobi Nobita!" The teacher's voice thundered across the room. Nobita jolted awake, blinking in confusion.
"Stand in the hallway!" the teacher barked, exasperated. Nobita sulked out of the classroom, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. He spent the rest of the morning standing in the corridor while the class continued with Mandarin lessons and discussions.
When lunchtime arrived, Nobita was finally allowed back into the classroom. The school provided meals, so everyone prepared their lunches at their desks. Dekisugi ate quietly, lost in thought about his upcoming manga project. Shizuka complimented Dekisugi on his drawings earlier, and the memory brought a small smile to his face.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, a different scene unfolded. Inside a rundown building that served as the headquarters of the so-called World Peace Association, a group of delinquent junior high school students counted the money they had extorted as "membership fees" from younger kids. The leader, a burly teenager with a scar above his eyebrow, smirked as he flipped through the stack of bills. "Looks like we've got ourselves a nice haul today," he said, tossing the cash onto a worn-out table.
"Those elementary school brats are so easy to scare," another boy chimed in, leaning back in his chair with a smug grin. "We'll hit a few more schools next week."
Back at school, Dekisugi noticed a student in the hallway with the World Peace Association badge pinned to his shirt. The boy's slumped posture and wary eyes caught Dekisugi's attention. It wasn't the first time he had seen students from this organization, and their presence always seemed to carry an air of unease.
Dekisugi clenched his fists. He had heard rumors about their activities and didn't like the thought of his classmates being targeted. Though he usually kept to himself, the idea of confronting these bullies stirred something within him. He resolved to investigate further, determined to protect his schoolmates from falling victim to such schemes.
As the bell signaled the end of lunch, students filed back into their seats for the afternoon classes. Nobita, still nursing his wounded pride, slouched at his desk, barely paying attention. Dekisugi, however, remained alert, his mind already formulating a plan to deal with the growing threat of the World Peace Association.
In the dimly lit meeting room of the association, the delinquents continued their scheming. "We need to recruit more members," the leader declared, slamming his fist on the table. "The more kids we have under us, the easier it'll be to expand our territory."
"What about that Dekisugi kid?" one of the boys asked. "He's always top of his class. Bet we could make some serious money off him."
The leader chuckled darkly. "We'll see. Nobody's untouchable."
Little did they know, Dekisugi was already preparing to take them on, armed not just with his intelligence but with a growing determination to stand up for what was right.
