Chapter 6 - Chapter Six: Finished! Dorameon Appears!

Because the questions were all relatively simple, it didn't take long for Dekisugi to finish the homework assigned by the teacher today. Meanwhile, Nobita was biting on a pencil, not having touched a single question, as though he couldn't get started.

Shizuka had already completed more than half of her work. Dekisugi glanced over at Nobita, not wanting to disturb Shizuka who was focused on her questions, but he couldn't help but look at him with concern...

The corner of Dekisugi's mouth twitched. Did Nobita think of him as a rival? Kids really are maturing quickly these days.

Though, Dekisugi himself was probably the most mature of them all.

Shaking his head, he thought, it's pointless to get caught up in a child's jealousy.

Dekisugi didn't care about that at all.

Children are so transparent when it comes to their feelings.

Dekisugi always preferred dealing with children.

It's simple: if you like something, you like it; if you don't, you don't. Who else can be as open as a child? He smiled and walked over to Nobita, speaking to him directly.

"Nobita, do you know how to solve these problems? Let me show you how."

"Let's start with this math problem. First, you need to calculate this way, and then add them together to get the final result."

Dekisugi wasn't unfamiliar with teaching others how to solve problems.

He had done it before, often tutoring elementary and middle school students in subjects like Chinese, math, and English during his college years.

So teaching Nobita how to do homework wasn't anything new. Dekisugi was used to helping others and had a knack for explaining things.

Shizuka looked at Dekisugi and Nobita, who were so serious about teaching and learning, and smiled lightly.

In the past, Nobita always seemed to have a vague hostility towards Dekisugi.

It was obvious to everyone that Nobita was so straightforward with his feelings, though no one really understood why he hated Dekisugi so much.

Now, it seemed that their relationship was improving.

Shizuka chuckled softly to herself, happy that her two best friends were finally getting along.

Just then, the teacher, who had finished grading the homework and was about to leave, entered the classroom.

Although Nobita was often late and frequently forgot to do his homework, he would always stay behind to make it up.

There was even an incident where the teacher forgot to tell Nobita he could leave, so Nobita stayed late into the night, not realizing that it was time to go home.

Finally, Nobita's mother, Tamako, came to the school to ask the teacher where Nobita was.

It was then that the teacher and Nobita's mother found him, sobbing in a corner of the classroom.

After that, the teacher completely changed her attitude toward Nobita.

Whenever he didn't complete his homework, the teacher would stay behind to help him finish it, guiding him through problems until they were solved. As a result, Nobita often stayed after school for extra study sessions.

The teacher stood by the classroom window and silently observed Nobita doing homework with Dekisugi's help.

She was a little surprised but nodded in approval without saying anything.

After watching for a while, she quietly left.

"Nobita has really made good friends," she murmured to herself.

Thanks to Dekisugi's tutoring, Nobita finished two days' worth of homework in about 40 minutes, and Dekisugi had completed his own homework in just 20 minutes, leaving only an hour after school.

Despite the fact that Nobita studied late nearly every day, his robotic companion, Doraemon, was still worried about him. After all, Nobita was quite a handful.

"Hey! It's finally done! Ahhh~" After an hour, Nobita finished his homework and stretched. He dropped his pencil in relief, standing up and stretching. Shizuka walked over and smiled at him.

"Now, Nobita doesn't have to study abroad tomorrow!"

Before Dekisugi could say anything, the space near the podium trembled slightly, and Dekisugi was startled.

A pink wooden door, with a touch of simplicity, slowly appeared in the air. Dekisugi's eyes locked onto it.

A door? So...?

A short, blue figure emerged, speaking to Nobita, who was still stretching, in a deep, hoarse voice.

"Nobita, I knew you were being studied abroad by the teacher again! It's Shizuka and Dekisugi who made me worry about you so much."

Dekisugi looked at the robot he had often imagined as a child, filled with surprise and curiosity.

Doraemon.

The robot was made of a sky-blue unknown metal and a snow-white shell, looking peaceful and friendly, playing the role of Nobita's caretaker and playmate.

At this moment, Doraemon was pouting, scolding Nobita.

"Alright, Doraemon! I finished yesterday's and today's homework! Look!" Nobita waved the completed work in front of Doraemon like a trophy.

"Since it's done, it's no big deal. Thanks to Shizuka and Dekisugi for helping me finish it. I wasted a lot of time with them."

Doraemon understood why Nobita had finished his homework with Shizuka and Dekisugi's help, as the teacher usually stayed to teach Nobita, which took over two hours every day.

"I get it, Doraemon," Nobita said, scratching his head. He knew he should thank Dekisugi and Shizuka, so he flashed a charming smile at Shizuka.

"Thank you, Shizuka! Thank you, Dekisugi!"

Dekisugi smiled and said there was no need to thank him, then turned to Shizuka.

"Let's head home together. And feel free to ask me about any questions you couldn't figure out."

Dekisugi had noticed that Shizuka had struggled with a few questions earlier while doing her homework. Since he was tutoring Nobita at the time, he hadn't mentioned it, but he was happy to help Shizuka on their way home.

Shizuka's eyes lit up, and she was naturally pleased. The two of them waved goodbye to Doraemon and Nobita and left, walking home under Nobita's envious gaze.
