Chapter 22 - Her family III

[A/n: As many of you have questions like , why he didn't know this blood sharing ritual from the game.

Because this fucker skipped this side story part because this part is boring for him]

Azaroth sighed heavily, his crimson eyes locking onto mine as he prepared to explain something that would undoubtedly alter the dynamics between Drusilla and me.

"When a vampire shares their blood for the first time," he began, his deep voice steady but weighty, "regardless of whether it's with a human, another vampire, or any other race, it forms a bond. If the blood exchange is mutual—if both drink from each other—it creates a sacred connection."

He paused for a moment, letting the weight of his words sink in. Then, with a pointed look, he added, "Drusilla sharing blood with you means she has chosen you as her companion."

Companion? My mind raced, trying to piece together what this revelation truly meant.

Azaroth sighed again, as though frustrated by my apparent confusion. "It means," he said, his voice growing firmer, "that you are her lover."

My mismatched eyes widened slightly, and I blinked, stunned into silence. Lover?

Drusilla finally broke her silence, her voice quiet but laced with determination. "I didn't forget on purpose," she muttered, shifting slightly under her father's piercing gaze. "I just... didn't think it was the right time to explain everything."

Azaroth frowned at her, his expression both disapproving and exasperated. "Not the right time? He's standing in my court, clueless about the gravity of his situation. When exactly were you planning to tell him? After the bond solidified completely?"

Drusilla crossed her arms, her usual confidence returning as she met her father's gaze. "He's smart," she said stubbornly. "I thought he'd figure it out eventually."

Internally, I groaned. Smart or not, how am I supposed to deduce something like this on my own?

Azaroth didn't seem satisfied with her response, but he relented, shaking his head. "Fine. Just make sure he understands everything before this bond progresses further."

Drusilla turned to me, her tone softening. "I'll explain everything later," she said, as if to reassure both her father and me.

Azaroth waved a hand dismissively. "Good."

Selene, who had been quietly observing the exchange with an amused smile, finally spoke. "Alright, let's put this discussion to rest for now. You two can go inside. We have matters to discuss here."

Drusilla and I exchanged glances before nodding and exiting the room.

Once the heavy doors shut behind us, Selene's smile faded slightly, and her crimson eyes turned to her husband. "What do you think of him?"

Azaroth leaned back in his throne, his expression contemplative. "He's strong for his age," he admitted, his tone neutral at first. "But what amazes me—and unnerves me—is not that he's a Primordial Vampire or even his unique category. It's his bloodline."

Selene raised an elegant brow. "His bloodline?"

Azaroth nodded gravely. "Even though it hasn't awakened yet, I can sense its potential. If it ever does, he'll become a nightmare for his enemies." He paused, his crimson gaze darkening. "When I tried to perceive the nature of his bloodline, it was unlike anything I've encountered. It felt as though I was staring into the abyss... staring into my death."

Selene chuckled softly, her demeanor light despite the seriousness of her husband's words. "You're afraid of his bloodline?"

Azaroth shook his head, a rare smirk tugging at his lips. "Not afraid—cautious. If there were anyone else standing before me, I could easily identify their bloodline and its features. But his? It's as if it defies comprehension."

His smirk widened slightly, a trace of amusement flickering in his eyes. "It's good that he's on our side—or will be, at least. And from the way Drusilla looks at him, it's clear she has no intention of letting him go."

Selene laughed, the sound light and musical. "Haha~, you're absolutely right. She's already claimed him, whether he realizes it or not."

Azaroth joined in her laughter, though his remained faint and restrained. "For better or worse, this boy will shake the foundations of our world."
