After two seconds, his body regenerated, and the portal opened, pushing him out. The fairies quickly arrived and guided his body to the next room on the left. The masked man shook his head before departing.
As Orion slowly opened his eyes, he mumbled a few words under his breath before taking in his surroundings.
The room was dimly lit, indicating that the Chromo System Tree had not bestowed any system upon him.
This realization sent a shiver down his spine, prompting him to quickly rise to his feet and exit the room with his head hung low.
'No system, meaning no good school. Fuck!! Now I'll just be a mere mortal with a family that has a system. I just don't want to be a burden.
"Hey, water boy, where do you think you're going?" The taunting voice came from a towering figure, a boy with muscles that seemed to bulge with arrogance.
Orion kept his gaze fixed ahead, his steps steady and determined. It was as if he were moving through the motions of life without truly living.
He didn't dare glance back, knowing that it would only invite more ridicule. It wasn't worth the effort or the pain.
Because he knew they would just gang up against him and beat him regardless, so what's the point of turning back anyway.
"Hey, I'm talking to you," the boy said casually, his gang members all nodding in agreement as they understood their leader's intentions.
"Ah!" Orion cried out in pain, clutching his head. "You idiots, who threw that stone at me?" Orion yelled in frustration.
However, this only resulted in everyone laughing at him.
"Hold on a second, the waterboy is now speaking up. How intriguing," the large muscular boy remarked.
"Oh, I see, the waterboy hasn't been blessed with a system," he quipped, laughing.
Orion felt a surge of anger at the comment, but he also didn't want to risk getting into any trouble with these individuals. After all, these were the same group of kids who had nearly caused him to be expelled from his school.
The reality of the situation was that the imposing figure looming behind him, identified as Xur, has a powerful connection to the school through his father, which meant that Xur had the ability to have him expelled or removed from the school altogether.
Fortunately, when he was on the brink of getting expelled, his aunt came to his rescue. However, the uncertainty remains - will she continue to support him now that he is without a system? He was just an ordinary human, and he despised the limitations that came with it.
He despised his own lack of access to a system or superpower, feeling a deep sense of frustration at his own weakness.
As he turned to face Xur, a bittersweet smile played on his lips, his gaze filled with a mixture of anger and lust of power.
"I didn't do anything to you, Xur, so please stop following me and watching me. I'm not interested in you, you know," Orion muttered with a smile.
This caused, Xur gang to erupt in laughter as they glanced at their leader. Orion felt some satisfaction knowing that he had managed to mock the guy.
"Quiet!" Xur bellowed, and a hush fell over the group as he fixed his gaze on Orion, who continued to chuckle.
"You are truly pathetic, you have no system, and yet here you are, laughing like a worthless piece of fool. You're weak," Xui exclaimed angrily, his hands clenched.
"After I finish dealing with you today, I must say I am quite intrigued by the idea of getting to know your sweet sister Nai better or will I say your aunt's sisters. Nai seems like a quiet and innocent girl, and I can't help but wonder what she's like on bed."
Xur chuckled to himself as he contemplated the possibilities.
Orion groaned in frustration, eager to strike Xur, but instead, he dropped to his knees.
"Weldon Neil," Xur said with a smile.
Orion's head snapped in the direction of the individual who had collided with his shoulder, causing him to stumble to his knees.
His gaze darkened as he recognized the figure before him - none other than Xur's formidable bodyguard, a notorious system user renowned for his ruthless tactics and unrelenting brutality.
They had already planned this, and today there was no one to save him.
As he looked at the men surrounding him, he shook his head in frustration and disappointment, shivering at the image in his mind.
"He really planned this out," Orion thought to himself. "I have to accept the fact that no one is coming to save me."
Without hesitation, Neil started punching Orion in the stomach while Orion shielded his face.
Xur let out a menacing hiss as he forcefully kicked Oriin's hands away from his face. The impact of the blow left a sharp sting, causing Oriin to wince in pain.
Xur's aim was clear, he wanted to inflict some damage to Oriin's face, even if it was just a minor bruise.
The sudden attack caught Oriin off guard, eliciting a sharp cry of "Argh" from him as he tried to defend himself.
The relentless barrage of kicks continued without mercy, each blow landing with brutal force. Xur's cruel laughter filled the air, a chilling sound that sent shivers down the spines of those unfortunate enough to hear it.
He took pleasure in the suffering of others, reveling in the screams of pain that echoed through the alley.
"Your pathetic appearance is the least of your worries," Xur taunted, his voice dripping with malice.
"And don't even think about cracking a joke with me again cause you'll regret it."
With a contemptuous sneer, he spat in Orion's direction, a final insult before his gang resumed their vicious assault, pummeling him mercilessly.
They could have utilized their abilities to complete the task, but the issue is that Orion is a student at his father's school. If any suspicious activity is linked to him, his father will not overlook it.
"Boss, do you think it would be more effective to break his leg or maybe his hand?" inquired a tall, slender young man with a dangerous smirk directed at Orion.
"Hmm, Legs would be more effective. We're at least helping him avoid school," Xur whispered. "Just make sure you do the job right, and you'll all be rewarded handsomely."
Xur then departed with Neil, his guard.
"Jerk, I'll make you pay!" Orion screamed in pain.
*Bang*
His attempt to scream was abruptly halted as a sharp blow landed on his neck, causing him to instinctively clamp his hand over his mouth.
The intense pain that shot through his body left him trembling uncontrollably, rendering him unable to vocalize his suffering.
The excruciating sensation seemed to permeate every fiber of his being, leaving him in a state of utter torment.
'I just wish the pain would end,' Orion thought.
'I wish all of this would stop, the pain is making it hard to breathe.' Orion struggled to catch his breath.
"We should just disable him. Xur will be pleased. At least we are doing Orion a favor anyway." An elf who had been silent for a while spoke, and everyone nodded in agreement with his suggestion.
"Alright, I'll take care of it," the slim guy said as he extended his hands.
What a life and what a world. The thought of being crippled felt like a death sentence, as it would completely shatter his world.
Despite being a top student, he struggled in his role as a brother. He may be a pervert. However, he was resigned to the fact that he would likely die being a mother fucking virgin.
The slender man known as Slim Shady moved his hands, causing the ground to shake. Fissures appeared, and geysers of dirt and rocks shot up around Orion.
His eyes glowed with a supernatural force, harnessing the power of his earth abilities.
With a quick motion, a large stone column shot up from the earth, heading straight for Orion's legs, but he stopped a smirk appeared on his face.
"You dared to challenge Xur, puny human?" the slim guy sneered, his voice oozing with malice.
"Do you have any final words before I render you helpless?" He inquired of Orion.
Spitting on the ground, Orion's face contorted in anger. "Fuck you," he roared, flipping the middle finger at his adversary.
"Well, actions speak louder than words. Now, do us a favor and get up and start running. You might just survive."
"Do you really expect me to just trust you?" Orion yelled, his voice filled with doubt.
"The only way to know for sure is to take a chance and run. Giving yourself a shot might prevent you from getting crippled."
Orion smiled sadly, understanding the intentions of these people. They were offering the prey a false sense of hope, only to ultimately lead to its demise.
At least this gave him an opportunity to fight back. Lying on the ground could make it easier for them to make things difficult for him.
With that, he mustered all his strength to pull his battered body together and attempted to stand up, successfully doing so.
"It's now or never," he whispered to himself, knowing it might be the last time he could use his legs. With determination, he started to limp away.
Xur's gang all burst into laughter as they observed Orion's awkward gait. Without hesitation, Orion gestured with his left hand, causing his eyes to widen in alarm as he saw the towering pillar approaching rapidly.
Despite his attempt to dodge, the slim guy's movements were too quick, and the solid stone pillar collided with Orion's left leg, producing a bone-chilling crunch
"Argh!" Orion's piercing scream echoed through the air as searing pain shot through his body, causing him to crumple to the ground in agony.
His leg was shattered, rendering it completely useless, and he struggled to catch his breath as the overwhelming pain consumed his every sense.
The Xur gangs approached him, with a menacing presence, standing tall and looking down at him with a wicked grin etched on their faces, satisfied that their task was complete.
"In this moment, we hold all the power," declared the slim shady guy, his authority unquestioned.
"And you, Orion, are but a mere mortal, crippled and insignificant in our presence."
Orion's eyes filled with tears of pain and frustration as he shivered. The earth kept shaking, a sign of the boy's power.
He struggled to remain alert, thinking that the fight was not finished, despite losing his leg.
His body was too weak to continue the fight, and he succumbed, slipping away. The gangs callously abandoned Orion without a second thought.
The heavy rain poured down, washing away any traces of blood from the scene.
