The battle raged on, the heavenly soldiers clashing with Jiǎo Lóng's dark minions. But despite their valiant efforts, the heavenly soldiers began to fall, succumbing to Jiǎo Lóng's relentless attacks.
Some of the heavenly soldiers lost control, their eyes widening in fear as they stumbled backward, desperately trying to escape Jiǎo Lóng's wrath. But it was too late. Jiǎo Lóng's attacks caught up with them, striking them down with merciless efficiency.
Lingye watched in horror as the heavenly soldiers fell, her heart heavy with grief and anger. She had tried to reason with Jiǎo Lóng, to bring him back from the brink of destruction. But he had refused to listen, consumed by the darkness within him.
And now, he was killing innocent people, people who had sworn to protect the heavenly realm.
Lingye's anger boiled over, and she unlocked her goddess power level, her eyes blazing with fury. She raised her hands, and a brilliant light burst forth, casting a protective barrier around the heavenly soldiers.
The barrier glowed with a soft, ethereal light, protecting the heavenly soldiers from Jiǎo Lóng's attacks. Jiǎo Lóng stopped for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he confronted Lingye.
"You think you can stop me, Lingye?" Jiǎo Lóng sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "I am the Demon King, and I will not be defeated."
Lingye's eyes flashed with anger. "You were once a good person, Jiǎo Lóng," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "But now, you are a monster. And I will stop you, no matter what it takes."
Jiǎo Lóng's eyes gleamed with malevolence. "We'll see about that," he said, raising his hands.
As Jiǎo Lóng attacked, Lingye stood firm, her goddess power level glowing with an intense, pulsing light. The two clashed, their powers locked in a fierce and epic struggle.
Meanwhile, Da Ming and Xiao Ming confronted Tian Shang and the heavenly soldiers, their eyes blazing with fury.
"You fools," Da Ming sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "You think you can defeat us? We are the servants of the Demon King, and we will not be defeated."
Tian Shang's eyes narrowed. "We'll see about that," he said, drawing his sword.
The battle raged on, the outcome hanging in the balance. Would Lingye be able to stop Jiǎo Lóng, or would he succumb to the darkness within him? Only time would tell.
As the battle raged on, Da Ming and Xiao Ming were defeated by Tian Shang and the heavenly soldiers. They vanished into thin air, their dark magic dissipating into nothingness.
Lingye and Jiǎo Lóng, however, were still locked in a fierce and intense struggle. Their powers clashed, their magic swirling around each other in a spectacular display of light and sound.
But as the fight wore on, Lingye began to gain the upper hand. Jiǎo Lóng, despite his incredible strength and power, seemed to be holding back.
And then, in a flash of insight, Lingye realized that Jiǎo Lóng was not fighting back. He was not defending himself.
With a burst of speed, Lingye launched a fatal attack, her magic spear flashing towards Jiǎo Lóng's heart. Jiǎo Lóng did not move, did not flinch.
He let the attack hit him, and his body crumpled to the ground, severely injured.
Lingye's eyes widened in shock as she rushed to Jiǎo Lóng's side. "Why didn't you dodge it?" she asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
Jiǎo Lóng's eyes flickered open, and he smiled weakly. "Because it was the only way to stop me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Lingye's eyes filled with tears. "What do you mean?" she asked.
Jiǎo Lóng's gaze locked onto Lingye's. "I wasn't controlled," he said. "But I couldn't end my own life. I wanted you to end it, Lingye. You're the only one who holds the power of a god."
Lingye's face contorted in anguish. "So you lied to me?" she asked, her voice cracking with emotion. "Why, why did you do that?"
Jiǎo Lóng's smile grew wider. "Because that's the only way to stop the Demon King," he said.
And with that, Jiǎo Lóng's eyes flashed with magic power, and his heart burst apart, releasing a blast of energy that sent Lingye flying backward.
As Lingye struggled to her feet, she saw Jiǎo Lóng's body vanish into thin air, leaving behind only a faint memory of his presence.
Lingye's voice was a raw, anguished scream. "Noo!!" she cried, her heart shattered into a million pieces.
(Soft, mournful music begins to play)
🎶In the shadows, I'll forever stay🎶
🎶Haunted by the ghost of you, every day🎶
🎶My heart beats slow, my soul feels pain🎶
🎶Longing for the love that we could never regain🎶
(Tears streaming down her face, Lingye sinks to her knees)
🎶I reach for you, but you're gone🎶
🎶Leaving me with just this empty, hollow song🎶
🎶I'm left to grieve, to mourn and to weep🎶
🎶For the love we had, for the love we'll never keep🎶
(Lingye's body shakes with sobs as she cries out Jiǎo Lóng's name)
"Jiǎo Lóng...my love...why did you leave me?
(The music fades away, leaving only Lingye's anguished sobs echoing through the silence)
The heavenly soldiers approached her, their faces somber. Tian Shang placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Lingye, I'm sorry," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "We did everything we could to stop him."
Lingye's eyes were empty, her gaze fixed on some distant point beyond the horizon. She did not respond, did not react.
She was lost in her grief, lost in the memories of the man she loved, the man who had given his life to save the world.
