"Strange. As the crystal gleamed, David witnessed events as if they were clips from a movie. An elderly man, engrossed in writing a story, a smile etched across his face, indicating his deep involvement and joy in his writing. And then, the man's story was published, and he waited with anticipation. But the story failed, and the man's defeat was palpable. David watched as the man died from the heartbreak.
At that moment, David realized that this man was the writer Darwin Ettershfield, who had created a character sitting right in front of him. It was a strange feeling that David couldn't quite grasp. His mind couldn't comprehend it, and the world wouldn't believe it, but for David, it was a beautiful, inexplicable sensation.
The jewel liquefied and dripped onto the grass in the park, where a crystalline flower bloomed. The crystal within the flower was Darwin's tear.
Darwin turned and said, "Carry this jewel with you, and never show it to anyone."
David asked, "And what is this?"
Darwin replied, "This crystal holds the writer's spirit. Consider it a gift from me. You must protect it."
David grasped the crystal tightly, looked at Darwin, and then placed it in his pocket, saying, "I promise."
David stood up and patted Darwin on the shoulder, saying, "See you tomorrow, my friend."
David returned home and sat in his room, staring at the crystal in his hand. "Is this a dream? Even if it is, I hope it never ends," he thought.
"Suddenly, David's wife entered the room. Startled, he quickly hid the jewel in his pocket. His wife asked", David, where have you been all day? It's been five hours since you were supposed to be home from work. I'm not used to you being late like this.
David replied, "Don't worry. I was with an old friend from high school. We went out for coffee and talked. We reminisced about old times, and he told me a strange story."
David's wife was surprised by his explanation. She felt as if there was something strange going on."
